The headboard stands about 43 inch tall with the corner posts being 56 inch. The footboard stands about 36 inch tall with the corner posts being about 50 inch. The rails are about 76 inch long X 5 1/2 inch tall X 7/8 inch thick. Overall this is a very nice bedframe even though there are some minor scapes and scratches. The condition is very good The twisted posts are a little higher on the headboard 59" inches than the foot board 53" inches. It measures on the interior up to a 54" by 76" mattress The vanity is beautiful and the condition on all these pieces is very good this vanity has plenty of storage room in the 7 dovetailed drawers. This 4-post bed frame is absolutely beautiful. Some specifics: From the 1940's. On each post. There is a sculpted pineapple, the universal"welcome" symbol. Measures approximately 54" wide x 49" high. Used for full size bed. But I was told it would also work for a queen size as well. Check measurements above. Has six 3" thick wooden slats that hold mattress in place. And two 5" wooden slates for top and bottom. I believe it is mahogany. But not sure. Kept in a very clean. Bug-free, pet-free, and smoke-free house. Prefer local pick up in Brooklyn. This is a gorgeous early 1900 twin size bed including headboard. Footboard and side rails. Note the lovely but simple carving on both headboard and footboard! To be perfectly honest. I don't know if this piece is mahogany or not. That is my best guess, but it is a solid, heavy, dark wood consistent with mahogany(and several other solid, heavy, dark woods) This is not a pristine piece and has seen a lot of wear over the last 100 years. The bed has four tapering square posts. Which support a drop down canopy, and above there are lovely small mahogany finials on the end of each post. The four posts and canopy would have originally been used to support a muslin cloth to stop mosquitos biting you whilst you were asleep in the bed. The head of the bed features a bowed headboard. Which is interspersed with wooden vertical slats. The headboard is connected to the solid mahogany side rails. Which supports the open rail footboard. The bed stands on tapered feet. Three removable hardwood wooden slats support the mattress. The colour of this bed is a dark red- brown mahogany. There is also an ex-demonstration super king mattress that can be supplied with the bed for free if wanted.
