This antique bed certainly looks the part, and while it is in overall good condition, it does have a few items worth mentioning. The paint is flaking(see photos) and there is some surface rust, though this is nothing that will affect the display quality or functionality of the bed itself. At some point in its long history. Antique 1905 Iron and Brass Double Bed
This beautiful ornate iron. Brass, silver-toned metal and oak double bed was in the home of the eminent and much-loved doctor, Giles Lucas, and his wife, Lucy Jane, when his daughter, who they also named Lucy Jane, was born in 1906 in Van Buren, Arkansas. It stayed in the mansion until 1970, when it was shipped to the home of Lucy Jane Cannon in Florida. The humid environment in Florida over the years caused the paint to peal, and concerns about health issues connected with lead paint led to the decision to remove all the loose paint. The present owners have removed some of the layer of lacquer which obscured the luster of the brass. The iron has had all the loose paint removed, as have the silver-colored metal ornaments at the intersection points. All four casters are in place. The bed is still in great shape, and is beautiful. This is an antique double brass bed from late 1800's or early 1900's. It is in good condition. There is a unique design that to me looks similar to an anchor. But I don't think that is what it is. Very interesting though! It does have wheels at the bottom of the legs. It came with the house my husband and I just bought, and we do not wish to keep the bed. It does need cleaning and polishing or not. It is up to the buyer. Once bidding is complete I will contact buyer to make arrangements for pick up. For sale is a beautiful antique oak bed that I have had in my home for a number of years.I purchased this in a wonderful antique shop in Northern Wisconsin.This is a double size bed and measures 58" tall.Not including the fancy center piece on the headboard,by 58" across.The footboard measures 39 1/2" tall and is 60" across,measuring from the round top piece across.The beautiful applied carvings are just gorgeous and all intact.In the center of the top of the headboard is the bust of a woman and not sure what it is made of.The siderails at some time have had a piece added on to them to make them a double size.This was done long before I purchased it and they are very sturdy.As you can see by the pictures I have a double or some people call it a regular size almost new box spring and mattress on the bed so that size does ... morefit perfect.The mattress set can go with the bed at an additional cost.It is an Englander Ultra Comfort box spring and mattress.I am putting a hide-a-bed in this guest room as the room is not large enough to really accomodate this bed and other furniture.Any questions please ask and I would be happy to email you more pictures if need be.This MUST be picked up as I will not chance shipping it,unless you have your own shipping company to pick it up.I would say this is a one of a kind bed and I have had lots of compliments on it.I am located just outside Viroqua,Wisconsin-54665 if you need to figure shipping charges for your pick up person.This bed would be beautiful in a Bed& Breakfast!

Antique full/ double size brass bed- very heavy and solid. The headboard weighs 34 lbs and the footboard weighs 33 lbs. The rounded. Outside pieces of the frame are 1 1/2" square. Dimensions: 54" wide. 81" long. I purchased this in the 1970's at a flea market in New Hampshire. I am not certain of it's age. But it has an Art Deco or Art Nouveau look. It is complete with the side rails. I have never cleaned or polished it, so it has it's original patina. I have listed it as"local pick up only" But I would be willing to ship it(I just don't know the cost at this time)

Antique Unbelievable Carved Full Double Pineapple Four Poster Bed Post Frame
Up for sale is an antique full/double sized Mahogany Pineapple post bed frame. The frame is in good shape but is in need of some TLC. The frame has some condition issues. Namely finish problems and marks, scratches but it is still a gorgeous frame. Chip in one of the pineapple's leaves. I photographed it copiously so you can see the details. The detailed worked posts are quite a unique feature. I am not able to identify the wood definitively but it is my guess that the main body of the headboard and footboard are mahogany veneer. The posts are likely solid since it would be near impossible to veneer them. The beams also appear to be veneered. The beam has a veneer that has chipped at the end. The frame weighs a hefty amount and is stunning. Again please see pictures as they more accurately and easily describe the condition than I can ... moredo in writing. Comes with headboard. Offered is a Vintage/Antique Bedroom Set that consists of: Double Head Board and Foot Board. Tall Chest, Dresser and Mirror. These pieces were sold by The Adams Furniture Company LTD, Toronto. This company was in operation in the late 1800's and the last information I can find on them is a catalog from 1910 and an article written in 1912. So the age of this bedroom set cannot be accurately determined. The story is that the Canadian man who owned this set, bought it sometime in the 1940's from a doctor in Canada when he got married. There is no way to tell how long the doctor owned this set before he or she sold it. The bedroom set is in pretty good shape considering age and is very functional. If one desired. It could stand to be refinished or left in it's original state for the character. I took many pictures so you could get ... morea good idea of condition. The company information I could find stated much of the furniture was crafted out of oak and finished in golden or Early English colors. I am not sure what this finish is or if they crafted out of mahogany as other products were offered. The bed is equipped to handle a double mattress. However their are no mattress slats with this piece. A regular double metal mattress frame fits inside the opening just fine. The measurements are as follows: Head board approximately 57" wide, head board posts 50" tall, foot board posts 44" tall. Dresser approximately 45" wide, 20 1/2" deep and 35" tall. Tall Chest approximately 53" tall, 19 1/2" deep and 33 1/2" wide. Mirror approximately 47" bottom to top of finial and 23" wide. Pieces are very sturdy and heavy. There are 2 drawer pulls missing.
