The rolling pin shield on the footboard is 45 inches high from the floor and the 53 inches high on the headboard. The mattress size is 39 inches wide by 76 inches long that requires a certain cross member rail that we will provide to accommodate the modern-day twin-size box spring and mattress. This is a really unusual matching pair of solid mahogany twin size pineapple poster beds with the tallest posts and the tallest pineapple ... morefinials we’ve seen in a long time! The posts on the bed are 70 inches high on all four corners. The shield on the headboard is 50 inches high, and 38 inches high on the footboard. The inside dimensions are 41 inches wide, by 78 inches long. The side rails are gigantic, at 8 inches high, and 1.5 inches thick, with three angled bracket supports underneath that keeps the mattress set low for better viewing of the headboard and footboard. They have fluted columns, a Sheraton style cutout shield, and look at the finial, which is a leaf with a pineapple top. One of the pineapples finial was missing, and had to be replicated by our cabinet maker, who did such a great job it’s really hard to tell which one is the replica. The pair of twin beds are dark reddish brown and date from the 1920s or‘30s. One of the headboards had a light spot in the pictures, so we are going to re-spray and re-tint that section, where someone probably slept against it for years. It will be all blended in. Antique Unbelievable Carved Full Double Pineapple Four Poster Bed Post Frame
Up for sale is an antique full/double sized Mahogany Pineapple post bed frame. The frame is in good shape but is in need of some TLC. The frame has some condition issues. Namely finish problems and marks, scratches but it is still a gorgeous frame. Chip in one of the pineapple's leaves. I photographed it copiously so you can see the details. The detailed worked posts are quite a unique feature. I am not able to identify the wood definitively but it is my guess that the main body of the headboard and footboard are mahogany veneer. The posts are likely solid since it would be near impossible to veneer them. The beams also appear to be veneered. The beam has a veneer that has chipped at the end. The frame weighs a hefty amount and is stunning. Again please see pictures as they more accurately and easily describe the condition than I can ... moredo in writing. Comes with headboard.
