Beautiful 4 poster antique bed, carpenters dream
Absolutely beautiful 4 poster bed. Deep rich color with classic spindle carving. Side boards were screwed down for extra stability. Headboard has scroll and point detail with pretty carving. Footboard is simple with paneled styling. The tall spindles were taken off and reassembled by a carpenter. He made a wooden dowel so the bed can easily go up staircases. The headboard had the side taken off to go up and down the stairs. Wood glue for assembly. You will love climbing into this fabulous bed! 83" wide. 88" long, 87" floor to top of spindle. I believe the wood is cherry, but I am not certain. From a smoke free home. Pick up only in NJ.

A four drawer dresser and a four poster full sized bed. The tall chest is very nicely formed with a bowed front, reed carved quarter columns, carved rosettes, shaped top, spade feet, divided top drawer of base chest, nicely appointed brass pulls and dovetailed drawers with mahogany secondary woods. The Dresser is equally as sweet with matched shaped top, carved quarter columns, spade feet, matched brasses, sliding top drawer jewelry/change ... moreorganizer and consistent constructive quality as the tall chest. The full sized bed(these drop in slot rails beds can all be simply converted to Queen Sized with a $100 pair of conversion rails-these are readily available at most bedding shops) is appointed with four very finely shaped and reed carved posts topped by urn formed finials. The head& footboards are defined by coin edged(deci) carved top leading edge and a very smartly turned blanket rail. The condition is this set is fantastic and the entire contents of this estate were remarkably clean. This is a very high quality set in impeccably good condition. The base piece is a solid bar/board made of 1 7/8" thick on headboard and footboard. The Dresser is 36" high X 24" Deep X 54" Wide. Same. Matching wood and very solid, needs new drawer pulls, the original one's have broken, see pictures. This Dresser is approximately 95 years old. Pictures show wear over the year's. more pictures can be sent if you are interested. Pictures Show: The railing's for the bed have dowel's that fit into headboard& ... morefoot board. Notice that on the inside where the bolts go in to tighten pieces together have broken. Additional holes are next to original holes on base of head/foot board and this is where an angle brace is attached to keep bed tight. This successfully keeps bed tight and no squeaks!
