Vintage 1940's-50's 7 Piece Ivory Dble Bedroom Set, Chest, Dresser, Mirror NR
I have up for auction an antique/vintage 7 piece bedroom set. The seet consits of a double bedd. With a headboard, footboard, and two 7" side rails, does not include, matress, box spring or bedding. I have used this with a double bed metal frame that fits inside this perfectly. There is a regular dresser that has two small drawers, and two large drawers, the large mirror, that swivels and is held on with decorative pieces, this dresser measures 44" wide, 36 1/2" tall and 21 1/2" deep, the mirror is 44" wide and 31 1/2" tall. The tall chest that has two lower large drawers and the doors open for three more drawers. This measures 36" wide, 47" tall and 20 1/2" deep. These have all the original hardware and the dressers have the original caster feet. The bed has a tall 48" headbboard, a 38" ... morefootboard and two nice side rails that are 7" each. I have had this in a guest room, there are some places on the bed that need a little touch uo to the paint. I am downsizing and need to sell a lot of vintage and or antique furniture. Italian Chippendale Antique Bedroom Set circa 1925
This exquisite Bedroom set was imported from Italy and beautifully restored here. I purchased it in 2005 for $8995 plus tax.now I'm moving back to England and it won't fit in my home there. The set is Chippendale in style and is absolutely gorgeous. It consists of an ornate triple door armoire which has a full beveled mirror in the center, hanging rails and shelves on either side, it comes apart into 3 pieces for easy removals. The bed is set up to accomodate a Queen mattress, but I believe it can be adjusted to fit a king. The set has two marble topped bedside cabinets each has a drawer and cupboard under. One of the pieces of marble has been damaged in transit but can be easily fixed. Hand carving in solid quarter sawn oak shows superior craftsmanship- artistic detailing. Graceful curves and raised and shaped panels. The original finish is very well preserved on this European furniture. Waxed and buffed. Only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain the warm honeyed patina. Side rails. Here is someone a chance to own a bedroom suite made by one of the top furniture markers this country has even seen.I will have to admit that I had never heard of him but after doing a little research I see that he was highly respected in the early 1900's.This suite is in excellent condition.it has one blemish and you have to look close to see it.on the left side of the dresser.the little rail has been re-glued but it is certainly doesn't hurt the over all appearance of the dresser.other than that. The suite looks pretty much like it did 80 years ago.I haven't got all the widths and lengths yet but I will and add them within the next 24 hours.for you folks that might know nothing about Limbert, I am going to see if I can copy and paste some info. Charles P. Limbert was born in Lyonsville. Pennsylvania in 1854 and died at his home ... moreoutside Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1923. British(particularly Charles Rennie MacKintosh) Japanese, and American Prairie School influences are also evident in Limbert forms. Limbert visited Europe on more than one occasion, and studied examples of Dutch peasant furniture. Limbert claimed that the original Spanish Mission Style was derived from Dutch furniture designs. He employed a designer of Austrian background named William Gohlke. Paul Horti. Famous for Shop of the Crafters designs, also designed some furniture for Limbert. I found this old bed in a little shop here in south Alabama(near Mobile. On the coast) It is solid and the rails fit well, however, it is a little wobly. This bed was being used by an old family! The size is 53" wide and 77" long. It has the original iron rails(hard to find) This is an original antique iron bed from the true south. Shipping: I have shipped these via Greyhound in the past. I would pack the bed in three separate packages and send it to the Greyhound bus station nearest you. Sometimes. I have been able to put both pieces in one package and send the rails separately. This would be expensive. I would recommend freight. Freight is cheap and fast, and they never break any of the items I ship. Upholstered in white fabric with embroidered flowers and with a painted wooden frame. It is a'demi corbeille' bed which has a curved footboard. This listing is for the footboard. Headboard and side rails only(it has brackets on the side rails to hold the divan base in place) There is no divan or slatted base included. The upholstery has been professionally replaced in a heavy quality white(cotton with a satin finish) fabric with flower embroidery in light blue. Light coral and yellow with light green foliage. The fabric is of good quality. And from a designer collection(whose name I cannot remember and am unable to find at the moment) The design ... moreis timeless and would suit either a'country' French inspired bedroom. Or a more upmarket'manoir' style. The fabric is really heavily padded. And stands out well from the wooden frame, then finished off with a nail border rather than a fabric trim. 1940s Virginia House Maple Conestoga Wagon design bedroom set...excellent!!!!
This bedroom set was purchased by my parents in 1939 or 1940. I am 70 years old and it was my bedroom set when I lived at home with them. The headboard of the bed is a conestoga wagon rear wheel with the metal outer band and metal reinforced center hub. The footboard of the full size bed is the oxen yoke used to pull the wagon. The vanity dresser mirror is a front wheel with center cut out for the mirror. Several of the drawer fronts have carved scenes of the conestoga wagon pulled by team of oxen. The construction of the furniture features full oak drawer dovetail sides and bottoms. And full wood dust shields between the drawers. 1930's 3pc Waterfall Bedroom Set.
1920's or 30's 3pc waterfall bedroom set. Vanity. 4 drawer dresser, and night stand. Back lit hardware, brass coloring with patina. The furniture is in good shape with the normal wear and tear, such as scratches and one chip out of the corner of a drawer to the vanity. The mirror has a few chips and some fading of the reflective surface. The only markings found on the furniture are 188 VAN TOIL.

The six piece set includes the bed frame. Nightstand, tall dresser, short dresser, mirror and chest. All the pieces are veneer and have blemishes. The plastic knob on the nightstand is missing, the plastic backing on one of the handles on the tall dresser is missing, as well as the triangle fluted corner of the small dresser. The chest has the drawer but is missing the attachments. The quilt and nightstand are not included.

Quarter Sawn Early 1900s Bed
This is a very nice quarter sawn matching headboard and footboard. Notice the ornate details and the rolled design. I have the orginal side rails but currently use a queen frame with a queen bed. Purchased this at an auction about 12 years ago for $1400. Sorry the footboard pictures are a little washed out due to the flash. Headboard measures 79" high to the crest x 59" wide. Footboard measures 37" high x 57" wide.

This is my great grandfathers and grandmothers bedroom set. It is from the late 20s. The dresser and vanity are in nice shape. There is a tiny bit of trim missing from the top right corner of the vanity. You can see it in the pictures. The full size bed holds a queen size mattress. As I show in my pictures. There is some water damage to the left front footboard, as you can see in the pictures, the veneer is lifting off a bit. A good wood person could repair this. There you go. Antique 1905 Iron and Brass Double Bed
This beautiful ornate iron. Brass, silver-toned metal and oak double bed was in the home of the eminent and much-loved doctor, Giles Lucas, and his wife, Lucy Jane, when his daughter, who they also named Lucy Jane, was born in 1906 in Van Buren, Arkansas. It stayed in the mansion until 1970, when it was shipped to the home of Lucy Jane Cannon in Florida. The humid environment in Florida over the years caused the paint to peal, and concerns about health issues connected with lead paint led to the decision to remove all the loose paint. The present owners have removed some of the layer of lacquer which obscured the luster of the brass. The iron has had all the loose paint removed, as have the silver-colored metal ornaments at the intersection points. All four casters are in place. The bed is still in great shape, and is beautiful. Antique American Acorn Bed - Twin Size - c1940
This lovely antique twin bed was crafted around 1940. Although I know it to be American. Its specific origin is unknown to me. I purchased it at a local antique dealer for $300 and have since touched up a number of scuffs and some wear to the finish, so it is in better condition than when I found it. This bed is quite attractive, with distinctive"acorn" style posts, but it has sustained some superficial wear, including a number of scuffs and, on one side of the support, some wear to the finish that clearly occurred during a restoration that was carried out prior to my ownership. Overall condition is therefore very good but not without flaw. Even so, the wear that this bed has sustained is very typical for a piece of its age; it's really a gorgeous bed.
