Please email me with your zip/postcode for a shipping quote via a carrier like UPS. This listing is for a gorgeous rare pair of twin French beds. They belonged to a friend's great aunt. Who bought them when she married in the 1930s. These were part of her master bedroom suite, though they are in really excellent condition, so they appear to be barely used. There is one small'smudge' on one of the curves of the footboard, do see the last photo. Perfect for a couple who want the'French' look in their bedroom. But also want plenty of sleeping room. When they are pushed together these beds make a larger than Super King size. 6 foot 7 inch wide bed! 6 foot 7 inches long! They have beautiful polished(I ... morebelieve walnut) frames. Which have beautiful'stripes' in the colour of the wood along the curved parts. Do see the photos. It is covered in an off white fabric that is attached with nails. Unfortunatley on the one side there are 2 tears in the fabric as seen in the picture. There is only one original screw that attaches the rails to the headboard but I do have 3 newer replacement ones. It is in very good condition other that the things that I have pointed out. Set of Antique French Twin Beds with Wraparound Head Boards
Offered for sale is a beautiful antique set of French beds with a wraparound head board. And beautiful ornate carvings on the legs, the top and bottom rim of the foot and head boards. I am not an expert and therefore do not know what kind of wood they are constructed from but it is a beautiful, very hard wood. It has a semi-gloss to it like a satin finish. The quality is superb, heavy and sturdy. The condition of the set is good to excellent! There are some very minor imperfections but none that can be seen unless you look for them. I also have the mattresses and box springs for both of the beds. The beds were in a guest room and the mattresses have been used very little. I will let both sets go with the beds at no extra charge if you want them. I have no other twin beds and have no use for them.
