The headboard and footboard are original but I think the steel rails replaced wooded one that probably came with the original set. This set has the chest of drawers and vanity with all matching pulls with bakelight accents. Some of the bakelite edges are scuffed or chipped. For its age this set is in remarkable condition. Some chips on the edges and below normal wear and tear. The vanity has three mirrors on the back that are beveled and etched. Only a few minor blemishes. I have used this with a double bed metal frame that fits inside this perfectly. There is a regular dresser that has two small drawers, and two large drawers, the large mirror, that swivels and is held on with decorative pieces, this dresser measures 44" wide, 36 1/2" tall and 21 1/2" deep, the mirror is 44" wide and 31 1/2" tall. The dressers rear left leg has damage and was repaired with a block of wood as shown. This is my great grandfathers and grandmothers bedroom set. It is from the late 20s. The dresser and vanity are in nice shape. There is a tiny bit of trim missing from the top right corner of the vanity. You can see it in the pictures. The full size bed holds a queen size mattress. As I show in my pictures. There is some water damage to the left front footboard, as you can see in the pictures, the veneer is lifting off a bit. A good wood person could repair this. There you go. 1942 ART DECO WATERFALL LANE Bedroom Set Full Dresser Vanity Cedar Hope Chest
This is a gorgeous. Hard to find bedroom set from Jan 1942. Full size bed frame includes head and foot board and slats. Tallboy dresser with corner trays in top drawer in each corner, vanity with mirror and chair(mirror became detached from it's frame when I hauled it home, just needs a couple new clips) cedar chest aka hope chest is beautiful, has felt lined shelf, working lock and key. Dove tail construction on all pieces. Minor wear as would be expected in furniture of this age. There is chipping of the veneer on the front bottom of the cedar chest in one spot. Maybe form shoes bumping into it. I took pictures of it. This is the worst that I saw, other than some minor dings or scratches, again, common in furniture of this age. Excellent shape overall. This is a 1930-1940 Art Deco bedroom set that I recently acquired. It consist of the dresser and mirror(vaneer on back side of mirror is peeling- see picture& mirror glass itself just needs a cleaning) Bureau, full size head board and foot board. It does have bed side rails but the vaneer is peeled badly so I did not bother taking a photo.They fit perfectly with the head& foot boards and I assume any bedding would cover these rails or you can peel off the remaining vaneer and paint them.All of these pieces are on small casters/wheels. There are some snall nicks and also some surface blemishes from usage and age(see pictures) The dovetail jointed drawers work nicely, the units themselves are sturdy and solid. This is a really nice bedroom set for sale. It's all solid wood with dovetail joints on the drawers. It includes a full size bed frame with head board. Foot board, hardwood side rails and slats, a tall four drawer chest and a vanity with mirror. The bed frame is approximately 36 inches tall, 56 inches wide and 80 inches long. The chest has four drawers and is approximately 48 inches tall, 17 inches deep and 32 inches wide. The dresser/vanity is 36 inches tall, 17 inches deep and 44 inches wide. The mirror is aproximately 32 inches wide by 34 inches tall. It has a medium brown wood finish(I believe walnut) that goes with any decor. Beautiful Antique 1920's Bedroom Set. Headboard and curved footboard with Dresser and Mirror. Mirror detaches. The photograph of headboard and footboard has another footboard in between them that belongs to my bed that I'm using. I just didn't move it out of the way. The high back bed features an arched headboard over applied carvings. The wonderful hotel dresser offers a long swivel dressing mirror over one long drawer on one side and tall chest on the other with a small hat box. A ball and stick back splash decorate the chest side of the dresser. The dresser does boast its original beveled mirror and shows some clouding. The hardware we believe to be original. The washstand is a nice size having space for a lamp and other things. The seat is very solid. Offered is a Vintage/Antique Bedroom Set that consists of: Double Head Board and Foot Board. Tall Chest, Dresser and Mirror. These pieces were sold by The Adams Furniture Company LTD, Toronto. This company was in operation in the late 1800's and the last information I can find on them is a catalog from 1910 and an article written in 1912. So the age of this bedroom set cannot be accurately determined. The story is that the Canadian man who owned this set, bought it sometime in the 1940's from a doctor in Canada when he got married. There is no way to tell how long the doctor owned this set before he or she sold it. The bedroom set is in pretty good shape considering age and is very functional. If one desired. It could stand to be refinished or left in it's original state for the character. I took many pictures so you could get ... morea good idea of condition. The company information I could find stated much of the furniture was crafted out of oak and finished in golden or Early English colors. I am not sure what this finish is or if they crafted out of mahogany as other products were offered. The bed is equipped to handle a double mattress. However their are no mattress slats with this piece. A regular double metal mattress frame fits inside the opening just fine. The measurements are as follows: Head board approximately 57" wide, head board posts 50" tall, foot board posts 44" tall. Dresser approximately 45" wide, 20 1/2" deep and 35" tall. Tall Chest approximately 53" tall, 19 1/2" deep and 33 1/2" wide. Mirror approximately 47" bottom to top of finial and 23" wide. Pieces are very sturdy and heavy. There are 2 drawer pulls missing. Antique waterfall deco bedroom set w/ armoire, vanity, bed, dresser, and chairs
Included in this set is a full size bed with headboard and footboard and sideboards and slats; a vanity with mirror and 2 drawers on each side and a glass shelf(intact) 3(deep) drawer dresser with mirror; large armoire with 4 drawers and a cedar-lined closet section. And 2 chairs- one with arms and one without. This is a solid and beautiful set purchased in the 30's by my grandparents. This set has been used and shows signs of normal use and wear. Main items to note: there are some scratches on the tops of the pieces. On the dresser there is an area of chips on one of the drawers(the bottom drawer of the dresser sticks a bit which caused it to rub the drawer above it) one of the handles on the armoire's drawers is broken, and one of the legs with casters on the underside of the armoire needs to be reattached. Solid oak 5 piece bedroom set: full size bed(head. Foot, side rails, slats) dresser, mirror, washstand, lingerie chest. Beautiful construction. Dove-tailed drawers, heavy solid oak, rolled headboard and footboard with matching roll on dresser mirror. Newer, beveled glass mirror, which will pivot. This was my grandmothers bedroom furniture(~106 years old) Wash refinished in the late 1980's. But could be gently polished/refinished. Slight damage to the footboard when we last moved(see photo) Wear consistent with age. Wash stand was stained walnut in the 1940's and even though refinished it is a darker finish than the other pieces. Pick up in East Brunswick. NJ.
