From what we were told, it has been ... morein the same family all this time. This antique bed certainly looks the part, and while it is in overall good condition, it does have a few items worth mentioning. The paint is flaking(see photos) and there is some surface rust, though this is nothing that will affect the display quality or functionality of the bed itself. At some point in its long history. The brass top bar was lost from the footboard. This again does not affect the stability of the bed. We have assembled it for show on several occasions, and all the parts fit perfectly and without the use of bolts or screws(again see photos) This, combined with the attached metal wheels, makes it easy to move around and store as well. The bed measures 79 inches long and 53 3/4 inches wide. With the actual bed frame coming out at 79 inches long, 54 1/2 inches wide, and 52 inches tall to the bed knob. Our research shows this will work with a full or double mattress, though bidders should be sure of the size of their mattresses before bidding, just to be sure. Vintage Brass bed. Two inch tubing, size narrow full, on casters. We are very pleased to be able to offer for your consideration this Vintage brass bed. This brass Bed looks much like the classic Rogers style brass beds made around the turn of the last century. The headboard and foot board frame is made of a heavy gauge 2 inch diameter tubing. The accent tubing is 3/4 inches in diameter. The side frame members are heavy steel rails, and have interlocking ends. The bed carries no makers marks, or dates that I can find, but we do know it is at least 50 years old. The mattress rails on this frame are 52 1/2 inches apart. A bit narrow for a standard 54 inch full mattress, but the length is a standard 75 inches. The frame headboard measures 63 1/32 inches tall. The foot board measures 42/34 inches tall, both are 56 inches wide. The bed is 82 inches ... morein total length. Condition- The overall condition of this bed is very good. It is a solidly built piece of furniture. The only flaw I can see is in the tarnish that has accumulated mostly of the horizontal rail of the footboard. It may have seen a great deal of use as a handhold. But this could be buffed out, or left as is. 1920s Brass Bed Frame
Beautiful and distinguished 1920s Victorian solid brass bed said to originate from the NYC area. Designed for Full Size mattress. It has masterfully handcrafted brass detail and its posts have roller wheels. This nearly 100 year old bed can probably tell some stories. It has withstood the test of time for the most part. Three of it's four master balls at the top of its posts have fallen off but with the right talent can be attached back. At some point the bedframe was attached upside down and needs to be repositioned in order to lay rails correctly. But it works fine this way as well. Sadly original rails did not come with the bed frame, wooden rails are being used in its place and will convey. Moving out of the country and unfortunately must sell. This vintage brass headboard is in good condition and comes with rails and it has brass castors. Headboard measures 58 1/2 inches tall and 55 inches wide. The footboard measures 35 high and 55 wide. Salesman Sample Brass Bed frame/baby doll/vintage antique/Store example/1800's
Original Vintage Antique small bed frame. The frame appears to be made of brass. I believe that it is a salesman example sample. It appears to be from the turn of the last century circa 1870-1920. But I am not a bed expert. All screws look original and are the same with no replacements. The yarn strung around the frame was obviously added much later, I will leave it as is for the next owner to decide what to do. There are cobwebs in places and marks that I have left as well. I have not attempted to clean the frame, and all patina is the way it was when I received the item. I have done nothing to the frame except photograph it. It looks very old. DIMENSIONS: length is 25 inches from the middle of the head to the middle of the foot bar. 15 inches across from the centers of the side rails, 18.5 inches tall from the ground to the top of the highest ... morepoint on the head, 3.75 inches from the ground to the top of the bottom side rail. There is remnants of very old string tied on the head side rail. You will receive everything shown in the pictures and I always attempt to give you the best pictures. If you have questions. Antique Simmons Brass Bed Frame w/ Side Rails- Full Size, Early 1900s, Headboard
This bed is a beautiful antique with a great rustic or shabby chic type of look. It was made by Simmons in the early 1900s out of brass. It is a full size bed but we do not have a mattress to go with it. The side rails are included. Because it is so old and has been used. Stored and moved so many times it does have quite the collection of dings, scratches, dents and tarnish. It could use a polishing but also looks nice and vintage the way it is. It measures 81" long and 54.5" wide at the outside of the posts and 75" long and 53" wide inside where the mattress would lay. The footboard is 31" tall and the headboard is 50.5" tall. Amazing very old brass or copper bed. At least 100 years old I'd imagine. It came from a barn in a very old estate. COMES WITH ORIGINAL RAILS FOR FRAME. This is an amazing piece here, and the patina is phenomenal. It looks like copper with the patina but I was told it is solid brass.
