Tennessee from Tennessee red cedar by the Tennessee Furniture Company beginning ... morein 1923. The Cavalier brand is considered the cadillac of cedar chests due to their superior craftsmanship. This is in excellent condition with no veneer loss. The wood is a walnut veneer and has a burled walnut inlay on front. There is a lock on this but I do not have a key. The cedar inside is like new and still has the cedar smell. The tray inside is in nice condition with purple felt(felt probably needs to be cleaned) This is 4' long and 19" tall. Vintage Lane Cedar Hope Chest Trunk, Needs TLC, Local Pick-Up NW Georgia
Appearances aside. This is still a great cedar hope chest by Lane. I believe it is from the 1940's. It measures 46" x 18" x 21"high. The pictures tell the story. But I will point out the issues. The Bad: Lock is missing. Veneer is scratched and chipped away in spots. The inside shelf is broken. One corner has separated and was badly repaired. The Good: It smells amazing. The back is pretty perfect. It's got great bones. The inside shelf has most of the working parts to get started on that repair. It will be a wonderful piece when it is restored to its former glory. I check and describe each item as well as I can along with providing large clear photographs. But I might possibly miss something. Vintage Rare Blonde 1962 LANE CEDAR HOPE/Blanket CHEST
This is a Mid Century Modern style hope/blanket chest- mfg. date june 14 1962. this chest is in very good condition considering its age. Has a few minor spots on the outside but the inside is near mint condition. There is definitely nothing wrong with it, nothing that would make you say damn after you bought it. Due to safety regulations the lock or latch mechanism has been removed. It measures 43 1/4" long 16 3/4" wide and 19" in height. If pickup is possible it would be great, if not we will work out the details and how you would prefer to have it shipped. Even though I have a shipping option shows for this auction we will have to work out how you will want to have it shipped.

Lane Sock Cedar Chest ANtique Vintage
This is an unusual piece I cannot find another like in my research. But quite certain it is a factory piece and fyi, I picked it up about an hour away from its birthplace in Altavista, Virginia. I believe this was used for storing wool socks and other smaller garments from moths. I just wiped this off with a damp cloth. Leaving the final finish up to the new owner. The flaws are some scratching on the surface. Some edge splits(that could be glued) and a small chunk missing at the tip of the"foot" lid. Also. There are nail holes toward the top on each side evidencing there was a straight piece of cedar creating another section originally.but easily fixed. This cedar chest measures 32.5 long x 8 1/4 deep(not including the foot) x 7 inches high.

Original antique/vintage Lane Cedar Chest. This has been in our family since 1947. It is Style# 2120. Serial# 641260. Date of manufacture is Serial# in reverse: 06/21/46. It measures approximately 48" long x 18" wide x 18" high. I have included several pictures so you can see the overall condition. Lane Antique Vintage Collectible Art Deco Cedar Hope Blanket Chest - Authentic!
This original antique/vintage Lane Cedar Chest is a beautiful family heirloom. It is Style# 2120. Serial# 641260. Date of manufacture is Serial# in reverse: 06/21/46. It measures approximately 48" long x 18" wide x 18" high. I have included several pictures so you can see the overall condition. There are some light scratches on the lid and a few more on the front and sides. There are also a few small patches where the veneer has come off on the edges and one section(see 8th picture) where one of my children drew a couple of small pictures. This might be able to be restored. The interior is in very good condition. The lid opens smoothly and closes completely. Legs are solid and intact. At one point. The Lane Company issued a recall on the locks/latches of these chests so the lock has been removed. As far as I know, they are ... moreoffering free lock replacement kits that can be acquired by calling their toll-free number. Considering this chest is close to 70 years old. Vintage early 30's Lane Cedar Quilt Hope Chest Clinton Iowa Tucker Furniture
This antique includes a great provenance. But please note that this is local pick-up only in Clinton, Iowa. This Lane cedar quilt chest was put only lay-away at the Tucker Furniture store in Clinton, Iowa, in 1933 by the then Opal Wells. The pictures show that there were several payments over the next year before finally redeeming the chest in time for her wedding to Larry Wiley in 1934. The original warranty card is also included as it was never actually mailed in. The chest stood at the foot of her bed for more than 50 years. There are some scratches on the top from wear over the years, but the rest of the piece is in beautiful condition. This is a special piece for the right local antique collector!

Beautifuly Renewed Vintage 1932 Lane Cedar Hope Chest, Blanket/Storage Chest
Absolutely Beautiful Renewed 1932 Lane Cedar Hope Chest. This is a really amazing chest with fantastic colors. Beautiful decor and is in great condition. It's a solid chest. Very well built and has stood the test of time exceptionally well. Overall, the chest is in outstanding shape considering its been around since before the big war. All the trim pieces are fully intact. The hinges are tight, the ornate feet are very secure, the inside is perfect and very aromatic. There are a few small pieces of veneer missing. One on the top right hand end, a very small piece on the top left side and a few slight chips across the back. I don't replace veneer but I do stain the underlying layer of veneer so the missing pieces don't stand out so much. This chest was definitely taken care of through the years and with good care it should remain ... morebeautiful for many years to come. This is truly a rare heirloom piece that would look great in any home. This chest has been renewed by numerous hours of polishing to remove the surface scratches and smooth out the deeper damage. After the polishing process. I rub it with rejuvenating oils then spray a few coats of clear to preserve the new-found beauty. What results is a chest that looks years younger. It does have a few minor chips and dings that you expect from such an old chest but they don't stand out after the renewing process. The lock has been disabled due to a Lane recall. 48" wide. 20.5" tall and 19" deep Serial# 236111. Built November 16 1932 The pics look good but I don't think they do it justice. Vintage Lane Cedar Chest, Style No. 48787, 1920s, NOT SELF-LOCKING
A vintage Lane Cedar Chest. Style 48787. This chest does not have a self-locking lock AND IS NOT RECALLED-it has to be locked with a key. Key is lost. The chest stands 24 inches. Maximum dimensions are 48 X 20 inches. The storage area is about 45 X 18 X 12 inches. The case is mahogany and the box is, of course, lined in cedar. Lane imprint on inside lid; style number is stenciled on bottom. Chest is in good condition, but there are scratches, scuffs on the finish and some repairs. The leg repair is very professional and we've had the chest for over 30 years and had no trouble with the repair. The cedar lining is in excellent condition and still aromatic. Chest is sturdy. The wood does have a few chips and scratches but I have not attempted to clean or polish it. The inside is excellent with original labeling and cedar with felt lining. Measures 47½ x 17½ x 21" tall. PLEASE NOTE: We will need to remove the lock and you will need to replace with a new one.
