The chest is made of solid rosewood. And not veneer, and is finished on all 4 sides plus top; with a cedar lined inside. The style is classic with subtle Asian touches evident in the brass latch hardware. And the feet of the chest. There are no carvings. The hardware is solid brass. It has a classic look.
