Stained with minwax"cherry" then sealed with two coats of spar urethane(light sand in between coats) The interior lining has been removed and the wood was sanded then stained. Vintage Watertight Foot Locker ~ Travel Trunk ~ Chest ~ Storage Case DESCRIPTION Here is a vintage footlocker. Handles on both sides and"locking" brackets for both the top and bottom. There are tapered clasp that slide onto the box and lid and tapped in place to make the lids tight and secure. There are rubber gaskets on the insides of the lids that provide a waterproof seal when the clasps are tightly in place. I don't know the origins of this locker and if you do please share the information and I will add it to the listing description. Possibly a marine/Navy/nautical application.
