Vintage Hartmann steamer trunk luggage chest antique foot locker
Large rectangular steamer trunk by Hartmann Trunk Company. Not sure of dates. But I tried to look up the patents(on a label inside the trunk) and the only patents I could located were from the 1920s. Approximately 4 feet high, 2 feet wide,foot and a half deep. Leather handles torn. Some rust. A little musty but it should clean up decently. Some tears to the fabric, and a small dent/break in the exterior(visible in the 10th picture) Prefer local pickup but will provide a shipping quote if interested. Please check my other items. Hartmann Steamer Wardrobe Trunk Art Deco Railroad Travel Clean
A vintage Hartmann wardrobe trunk with a classic Deco interior. It is in good condition overall. And the interior is in excellent, clean condition. It is equipped with a velvet cushion lid, four nice hangers on chrome rails, and a beautiful chest of four drawers with classic Art Deco handles. The canvas suit and shoe covers look perfect. And both snap properly. The exterior shows a few scratches and stains commensurate with age. Nothing major. All of the metal corners, reinforced edges, and hinges are in good shape with no damage. The lock has been removed but the hinge is intact. This measures 23 inches by 23 inches by 41 inches. The height is 4 feet with the lid up.

Made by the Hartman Trunk Company of USA. This trunk measures 40" long, 22" wide and 22" tall, each side 11 1/2" deep and opens to reveal 5 slide out drawers on the right hand side. Two drawers are missing. On the left hand side a hanging valet. This chest is in original condition and has not been restored. Considering the age and not restored. It is in fair condition. The original Lock made by Yale and Town MFG CO, STANFORD CONN USA pulled out of the lid and needs to be reattached. Trunk is black leather over the wood frame with brass hinges and rivets. Made by the Hartman Trunk Company of USA, this trunk measures 44" long. 22" wide and 22" tall, each side 11 1/2" deep and opens to reveal 5 slide out drawers on the right hand side. On the left hand side a removable storage box fits into the bottom while the top opens up to reveal a hanging valet complete with the original wooden hangers. This chest is in original condition and has not been restored. The original Lock made by Yale and Town MFG CO. STANFORD CONN USA still attached but the metal strap is twisted and need to be straightened out or replaced. No key. This wardrobe trunk weighs approximately 85 pounds. ... moreVery heavy. The top part of the chest opens for ease of hanging clothes in the wardrobe. Trunk is black leather over the wood frame with brass hinges and rivets. Interior is a blue print fabric with matching plastic zipped bag attached for Misc. clothing. Trunk is in fair overall condition with the expected wear. One trunk handle needs replacing and the other leather handle needs reconditioning but still perfectly attached. The lock is attached and is perfect but the metal strap that connects the lock to the hinge has been twisted and need to be straightened or replaced. The original wooden hangars are there and the drawers all are in good condition and fit perfectly. The problem areas are; one handle is missing. A cut on front side where the lock was pulled out. The metal strap for the key is twisted and either needs fixing or replaced. The chest has normal expected scuffs and scratches, along with a lot of rust. Last date of travel was 1947. VINTAGE HARTMANN 1920's STEAMER TRUNK LUGGAGE CHEST ANTIQUE NEAT PIECE
Up for purchase is this CIRCA 1920 Hartmann Cushion Top Steamer Trunk. The piece measures 40.5 x 21.5 x 15. As you can see on one side there are 4 Drawers and on the other one small suitcase on the bottom from where you would hang your cloths. There are no locks with this trunk, I do have the hardware piece to install the main lock if at some point you wanted to change the lock. This piece appears to have been repainted with the red and the art deco look on the drawers which was very well done. This piece was used as a decorative piece in a master bathroom from a local estate. The latches shut tight as they should. The piece has the patina one would expect from a steamer trunk from this era, has dings, dents scratches, scuffs, and the metal has the aged patina look. I have taken many pictures for your review. I have not attempted to clean ... moreup other than to run a damp cloths over the piece to clean off the dust. Vintage 1920's Hartmann Wardrobe Travel Trunk with Yale Key- Beautiful Condition
It's rare to find a vintage 1920's Hartmann wardrobe travel steamer trunk with its Yale key in this condition. All of the buckles and hardware on this piece are in working order. It comes with 2 straight bar hangers; 2 specialty hangers; and 5 coat/shirt/dress hangers. It has the original wood and metal bars that would have kept clothes tight and flat. The clothes bar extends 18" to pull clothes out for easy access. The trunk has three small drawers with cloth tie-downs and one large drawer with the original hanging hat keeper. There is some slight fraying of the cloth on the drawers from use but no large tears. The interior lid still retains its original blue velvet liner- still in beautiful condition with no tears or frays. The leather handle is stamped: 360 3" and the leather is in great condition. Offered for sale is this great old large antique Steamer Trunk by Hartmann Trunk Co. Racine. WI. It has a brass plaque on top indicating Tuerke Baggage Co Baltimore, Md. I would guess that Tuerke was the distributor. It also has the monogrammed initials"PJB" This trunk, a relic of a bygone era of steamship travel, is approx. 40" high X 22" X 22" It comes with original wooden hangers and five drawers. The leather carrying strap is broken and there is no key. Please view all of the pictures as they are part of the description. What you see is what you get. It has expected scrapes commensurate with age but it is very sound overall. This would make a great display piece or a really cool coffee table. Local pick up only. This listing is for a wonderful. Rare Hartmann Gibraltarized wardrobe trunk from the 1920s/1930s. This one has some really nice and interesting features. It does not come with the key. The drawers are all intact and include tie-down ribbons. The wardrobe side contains not only the usual wooden hangers and presser bar but two folding hangers. Many of these did not survive and they are very hard to find. The bottom of the wardrobe is finished off with a shoe section and a privacy/dust curtain that snaps at the bottom. 1900-1950 Black Vintage Hartmann Steamer Chest/Trunk made in America
This is an antique/vintage Hartmann steamer chest/trunk dated from sometime between 1900 and 1920. It is made by the Hartmann Trunk Company out of Racine. Wisconsin. There is a stamp with that information on it on the front of the trunk. It looks like it has travelled to San Francisco and Los Angeles, California and Denver, Colorado as there are a couple of stickers on the top from those places. It is in very good condition with scratches and marks on the exterior consistent with travel and having been put on and off trains. The interior is in excellent condition with no tears or stains in the fabric. It is very heavy, around 85-100 lbs and approximately 40 inches tall, 22inches wide and 21 inches deep. It contains 4 drawers. A small suitcase, an ironing board, and 10 hangers. There is no key for the lock. It smells old. But does not smell ... moreof mothballs or musty. It has been in Colorado for the last 20 years that I know of, so it has been in a dry climate and a non-smoking home. It really is a nice piece and would be good for decorating a corner of a room, used as a coffee table, or dorm room or any small room storage. Thank you for your time.
