This green jadevase stands approximately 6 7/8 inches tall; the maximum diameter is about 6 inches. Unpacked. It weighs a little under 2 1/4 pounds. The glass has a swirl pattern. The base has a central, round, polished pontil. This would be a fine addition to a collection of vintage American art glass. Identification This piece is vintage. Unsigned Steuben art glass. It is shape number 6031. Condition This piece looks very good. With light wear, and no chips or cracks. There are some scattered scratches here or there, which do not detract overall; the base also has wear scratches, as expected for vintage glass. The swirl bakelite frame has screw off metal caps over the lens. This means they are easy to change out to any color or prescription lens. Right now they are clear with no prescription. The distance arcoss(between eyes) has an adjustable leather strap. The vented shields on the sides are metal. Nice rounded shape for a comfortable fit against your face. This auction is for a vintage flexible fiber optic light guide made by American Optics Company out of Southbridge Massachusetts. Formed in 1892 they were at one time the largest optical company in the world. From my research I baleive this item to be from the late 60's to early 70's. This item is in fantastic condition as you can see from the pictures. The last picture I put a lighter near the other end of the chord and you can see it still works perfectly fine.
