The case measures 16.5" by 10" by 10.5". The reflection mirror is 2 sided and the bottom coating is peeling as pictured. There are scuffs on the wooden case and a crack on the front door as pictured. There is no key to properly lock and shut tte door though it looks like finding a key would not be terribly difficult. Sold as a collector's item.

This is one beautiful in excellent condition very old micriscope. All lenses are clean and clear. Including the mirror. No signs of damage, misuse or abuse. All functions work as brand new. This must be from the 18 hundreds. I know very little about antique microscopes as I am a machinist and can tell you this is a machinist's work of art. There is a removable compartment under the table that seems to facilitate some kind of reservoir for lab specimen viewing. It slides in and out on a dovetail. Hopefully the pictures can tell you more than I can. The barrel is engraved in script, E. Hartnack, Place Dauphine,21, Paris. I would love to keep it myself but it is on consignment and so it has to go to a real Scientist, Doctor or some medical instrument collector. Anyhow, thanks for looking and maybe even buying.

You are bidding on a Antique Bausch& Lomb Microscope with a jug handle. It measures 5 4/8" x 4" x 12 4/8" in the closed position) The eye piece and the adjustment screws move just fine. They may just need to be oiled if that is possible. The nose piece also moves just fine and clicks the objectives in place. It is missing the slide clips and we believe the substage condenser is missing. It does have some paint loss and scratching from use. The mirror doesn't have cracks and only seems to have some very small spots on it on one side. It does appear to work when we look through the eye piece, but we have not tested it with a slide or object. We do not know as much as we would like about this piece so please ask questions if you have any. See pictures for condition since all individuals have their own opinion. Antique Mahogany Lab Microscope Slide Storage Case Dental Box Historic Medical
This is one of the most unique items I've ever come across in my business as an estate liquidator. This is a solid mahogany lab case which would've been used back in the very early 1900's. Based on some of the design elements it appears that this case would have been used to store slides for a microscope. But. It is so well made and so functional that today it can be used to hold anything- money, jewelry, valuables; just about anything. The lid flips open to reveal a top storage area- the divider lifts out. Then there's a hatch that runs about 2/3 up the right side- open the hatch to reveal a nice little storage area. When the hatch is open you can then swing out 4 small drawers/ storage compartments. These compartments will only swing out when the hatch is open. The hatch closes tightly to keep the compartments firmly in ... moreplace. The dividers in each compartment are all original- see photos. All of the hardware- pulls. Hinges, top handle, etc- are solid brass and all original. There's a label at the top center which reads: Will Corporation- Laboratory Supplies and Chemicals" I've been recently informed that this may have been used by a dentist to hold and carry his equipment. This week we have this very Unique and extremely hard to find. Handsome antique/vintage(I believe this is a vintage reproduction) English Beatson Clark scientific lab/Botney set. The set is made with solid fittings and hardware. the set includes test tubes(note one is chipped at the pourer) and rack, beaker holder, slide holder dual adjustable mirrors(note one is missing, the other has tarnished) and candle holder glass stopper and magnify glasss. in the back is a large removable arm which holds two brass backed adjustable mirrors at the top(it is a little loose) one in which has a brass handle at back. these are connected to the long arm and has an adjustment knob to adjust the height as well. underneath is a wonderful solid brass candle holder which also has a height adjustment. the arms is held by an ornate mount that is connected to the ... morewooden box. It has a wonderful Beatson and Clark London brass logo on side. Beatson and Clark is a glass works company started in 1751 and still exists today making high quality bottles for the pharmaceutical and cosmetics industry. This was possibly a promotional piece but what I do know is that it is very rare and hard to find. It would be a special conversation piece for the scientist to display in an office or home setting. This is an ANTIQUE Spencer BRASS Microscope. It was given to me by my family doctor in 1955- he had it in medical school. It comes with a very tall beautiful GLASS VESSEL(Bell Jar) enclosure that envelopes the microscope. SEE PHOTOS) The Bell Jar consists of very thick heavy glass with a flat smooth bottom that creates a tight seal. It is 19.25 tall x 11” diameter at the base. And a 9” diameter cylinder. The combination of the vessel and microscope makes for an exquisite presentation. Both have been kept in air conditioned storage for 51 YEARS! The microscope is in very good condition.
