This auction is for a Antique Carl Zeiss Jena Microscope. Germany, No. 232159 in Lock Box w/ Key and acc. This microscope was manufactured before 1930. ... moreIt comes in the original wooden lock box with the original key and the lock does work. The microscope bolts inside the box so it doesn't slide around when carried. There are two sliding drawers inside the box; one has 3 empty canisters in it the other has, what appear to be, 2 extra attachments for the microscope. This piece is in excellent condition for its age. Has some scuffing and scratches and the wooden box is scratched up as well(it also has tape on the top that I can't get to come off, but maybe you can) Please see photos for exact condition. This would be a great piece for a collector. This item is very heavy(almost 20 lbs before packaging) Shipping fee is based on the continental United States. Alaska and Hawii will incur a higher rate. International shipping available as well. Please contact us for shipping fees. Please visit our store for more cool stuff!

Zeiss microscope? substage color filter assembly original box Carl Zeiss Jena We offer an original Zeiss accessory which we believe is for a microscope. Apparently a substage colored filter assembly, with the inside of the bottom of the base is screw threaded and not press-fit. There are 6 different colors in the revolving disk. The spring that effectively is used as a stop looks to have had some re-bending work done to it so there is some minor wear there. The piece is also marked Carl Zeiss Jena Nr 3207. Case is in pretty good shape although the leather is starting to stiffen up. Diameter of the circle with threads is about 1 inch. Threads are on the inside. Not the outside. These glasses came from the estate of a local eye Dr. They are in very good condition and the lenses look fine. No scratches or wear. The larger. Eye glass lenses are plastic- the Dr must have replaced them at some point. I adjusted them to fit me and objects 8" away appear about 2 times larger. The ear loops have some green tarnish on them. I estimate these were made late 1890's to 1920. I collect antique opera glasses so I dont know a lot about this particular instrument. Any info that someone would like to share would be appreciated. I have been told this is an autopsy and/or dissection microscope by a couple of dr types. I just dont know. It is binocular with roof prism columns that remind me of the Teleater opera glasses in my collection. Fully adjustable as they each swivel well over 180 degrees[see pics] Eyepieces and frame are clearly marked Carl Zeiss Jena. 12.5x magnification on the fully adjustable and replaceable oculars with bottom[also replaceable] lenses marked 1 1/4. Seral number Nn280872. Oculars marked: B12.5X XII with carl zeiss. Jena logo. Everything except the illumination light works well. It looks like it plugged into a transformer or battery pack of ... moresome sort and the wiring is quite poor. Original bulb. Shield, etc. Possibly a field scope of some kind. Vertical adjustment is a bit tight at the bottom. lenses are dirty but I can see no cracks or dings. Original dovetailed case is absolutely solid with original key in the lock. Great protection. Paperwork on the side of the case seems to indicate it was shipped to Memphis toward the end of WW2 by a Capt A.H. Chamberlain to his wife. Neat side note. I will pack it very well and ship via US Postal Service. Insured for full value. Shipping weight of 15 pounds packed. Flate rate to anywhere in the USA is $30.00. If it costs more I will pay it, if it costs less I will refund the difference. Make an offer. Worse I will ever say is no thanks! NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING Thanks for looking!

Here's an antique microscope camera outfit. Made by Carl Zeiss of Jena, Germany, probably in the 1920's, for making 4.5 x 6 cm exposures on glass plates or cut film. Please don't ask me to explain more about it or how it works because my knowledge of microscopy is rudimentary at best. I probably only know enough to be"dangerous" Whatever, you can see it for yourself, and although untested and I don't know how to operate the shutter(if it works at all after nearly a century) it appears to be in a very nice state of preservation, featuring clean bright viewing system, some sort of dedicated objective in its own little black metal storage tube, a pair of perfect original plate holders, a graduated exposure scale for test exposures, and an additional mask for making round exposures, all nicely protected in the original ... moreheavy duty wood outfit case. Very cool! Look at the pics below.it's a fascinating piece of vintage Zeiss technology! Brass case Marked"C. Zeiss AA Jena" for a microscope part. I was going to use this as a match holder for camping. But figured someone may be looking for it out there to complete their microscope.
Hi. Welcome to my auction. This is for a very cool Carl Zeiss Jena Nr. 554 chemical optical piece of equipment. I am not certain exactly what it is as I cannot find any info on it and have been trying for years now. I think it is time for it to find a new home. Maybe someone that can bring it back to life as I'm afraid to touch anything on it or oil anything up. Now for some specs. It weighs in at a whopping 19 pounds! It is 20" long x 13 high x 6 1/2" wide. This does not include the cord. The light still works, not sure if it is original but I have never opened it to find out. Cord is stable and the switch works. Plug seems to be ceramic as well as the white ceramic piece going in to the light housing. There is a good bit of surface rust and oxidation on some pieces. There are chips on some parts but not many and they don't ... moreseem to take much away from the appearance of the piece. I cannot tell you if the lenses are perfect, they need cleaned too. As far as I can tell there are no breaks or cracks in the body or any of the pieces and the smaller screws all work, the part of the body that is supposed to turn still turns smoothly. Some screws are stuck though and will need a little tlc to get loose again. I did clean it a little for the pictures but not thoroughly so it could use a deeper cleaning. I thought about taking it apart and using steel wool and Q tips to clean it but I thought that I may hurt it in some way so I just rubbed it with a damp cloth. I think I can say with all honesty that if you collect these types of things this may be the only one that you'll find like this. It is an unbelievable piece of equipment that was surely made to stand the test of time! Not sure what time period it is from. Due to the weight and size of this package I am assuming it will need to be shipped priority USPS but if I can ship it slower and cheaper I will save you the money and refund the difference to you after I ship it. I never make money from shipping! Thanks for looking and if you have any ques

While out making my rounds hunting for cameras I came across this beautiful antique Zeiss microscope. I have been told that this is a first series Stand E and dates from 1925. I can't be entirely sure that is accurate but the person that told me that seemed to know what they were talking about. As I mentioned I am a camera guy so I am not entirely familiar with Microscopes so forgive me if I use the incorrect terminology. The Microscope is in Very good to Excellent condition. The enamal paint is excellent. There are a few tiny chips around the base. Most of the Brass is also excellent. There is some pitting in the brass mostly on the barrels of the lenses. There is also a little plating loss on the top brass barrel along with a little tarnish. All knobs and dials move freely and smoothly. The Microscope comes with a total of 5 lenses. ... more2 top and 3 bottom. The top lenses are 7x and 10x. The bottoms are, 8.20, 40.65, and HI 90 1.25. Each of the bottom lenses comes with a metal tube case. Everything comes in the original wood case. Sorry the key for the case is long gone. The lenses appear to be fog and fungus free, but the small lower lenses were to small for me to get a good look at so I can't guarantee those ones. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer. Given that age of the item, I am selling it as is. I often offer multiple shipping options. Be sure to check because Priority Mail is sometimes cheaper depending on where you are. Good Luck and Happy Bidding.
