This is one of the more rare Bausch& Lomb American Type microscope models. It was only manufactured over just a brief 3-year period from 1889 to 1891. The featured instrument is very similar in design to the B&L“The Model” microscope. But it lacks the rack and pinion focus mechanism and is built upon a horseshoe shaped foot with rectangular pillars instead of the“Y”shaped foot with round pillars that characterized“The Model. This instrument bears the name of the manufacturer in fancy script on the top rear face of the circular stage. Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. Please see the accompanying close-up image of this inscription) However, this instrument does not bear a typical serial number. For some unknown reason, Bausch& Lomb did not inscribe serial numbers on their earlier microscopes. Beautiful custom made 8 weight 4 piece 9' graphite fly rod. This fine rod was fished once on a steelhead weekend in Northeastern Ohio. It looks new. I can't find any scratches nor marks on the rod. It was crafted on a Sevier Mfg. root beer colored blank that displays(spiral) tiger eye figuring when shown in sunlight. The wraps are dark chocolate brown with medium blue. Metallic accents. The guides,double locking reel seat, and hook keeper are Pacific Bay. The reel seat is aluminum with a titanium finish. The cork grip is full wells. This medium fast fly rod sports a detachable fighting butt and end cap. All of these components are salt water ready. The inscriptions are in silver ink and read: 9'0" 8 WT. Teepee tents, and a large design of"Old Sleepy Eye" himself. Old Sleepy Eye" is the nickname for Ishtahumba. Which means eyelids drooping. Ishtahumba was the real name of the Chief of the Lower Sisseton Sioux Indian tribe. These collectibles were produced from Illinois mined clay from the 1890's to 1937. The design is reminiscent of Early American decor. The pitcher measures 8" at it's tallest and is 6" in diameter. There are some hairline cracks(as pictured) and a small chip(also pictured) which is pretty normal in these old pitchers but other than this the pitcher is in great overall condition. Vintage Nippon Moriage Dragonware blue eye dragon, pink tongue, 17 piece set
Gorgeous set. This is a complete set. tea pot. Creamer and sugar bowl. 6 cups and saucers. The dragon is blue eyed. No cracks, chips or hairline cracks. There is gold around the rim of the cups and saucers which show some wear. The handles and finale of the pot and sugar bowl are gilded. There is gold along the belly of the dragon and a swirl of gold beneath the dragon. Unmarked Nippon ranges from 1891 to 1921. 1891 united states required all imports to be marked, but some ports allowed unmarked items in if the crates where marked. Then in 1921 All imports had to be marked with the country of origin. Also piece where not marked in Japan if they were not intended for exported out of the country. Often, great ages are assigned to Dragonware because of its over-the-top styling, the fact some examples have no company markings* or they were gifts ... moregiven to distant seafaring relations 150 years ago by Japanese royalty. Quality varies considerably for these sets as some have minimal moriage decoration with very detailed depictions of dragons, others appearing as over-decorated birthday cakes with the dragons and moriage popping out over three-quarters of an inch above the surface. Generally, it’s the earlier examples with a more subdued decoration that are the best quality, while the pieces featuring heavy moriage usually turn out to be later examples.

Glossy piece with good eye appeal& few marks. At the lower end of the grade but almost no wear and has n o problems I see worth mentioning. Just the normal marks you'd expect for a coin that briefly circulated. This coin is a little darker in hand than the photos show. Maybe a touch toward the mahogany end of the spectrum, a pleasing patina. Please f orgive my poor photos. Never was good at photographing copper, but read back through my feedback and you'll see that I grade these right on. Another one that has been off the market for a long time, so grab it quick! Although simple, it is a master piece of design and workmanship. Each element both stone and silver is pyramid shaped about one inch square. Total length 6 3/4 inch, weight 78 grams. It has an interesting safety chain of a design I have never seen on any other bracelet. It is truly an outstanding braclet.
