I have no way of knowing if the lens glass itself is functional but it appears to be unblemished. The overall approximate dimensions of the canister are: height- 1 3/4" diameter 1" top, 7/8" bottom. I don't know much about this microscope. It is a Spencer buffalo. It has 10x. 6x eye pieces. 1.8, 4, 16 MM objectives. SN 39826. I tried to take enough pics so you could see the condition of everything. As far as I can tell everything is in good working condition except for as you can see in the pics, the upper shutter type thing on the condenser is rusty. It comes in the original wood case. I don't have the key for it.

Up for auction. Is a great example of a Vintage Antique early 1900s microscope by Spencer of Buffalo, NY, U.S.A. that I recently picked up. It has a wonderful patina, aged look to it. The serial number on this microscope is 67927. According to my research. That serial number places the Manufacturing date sometime between June 23, 1920 and May 23, 1921. This microscope is even OLDER than one that just recently sold for about $400. Both of the brass knobs turn and the mirror is intact. With"no cracks" It could use a cleaning if you prefer the polished look, but I know some collectors prefer the aged natural look, so it has been left untouched. I am no expert in microscopes. Has stamping from the Zoology Department of the University of Wisconsin Minor surface soiling.
