You are bidding on an old. Victorian like, antique brass and glass miniature field microscope with fitted box. Microscope seems to be in good working ... moreorder. Retains its original finish. Nice uncleaned example. Glass is not broken and does move with the thumbscrew. Top of microscope expands up and down freely. Microscope has no maker identification on it, nor the box. I have seen other field microscopes similar that were made by"The Harvey Lewis Co. and other that were made in Germany. I am not sure if this one is either. There is a date inscribed on the inside of the box. 7/30/25. With the initials J.J.H. Also included is 1 prepared glass slide and 1 tweezer. The box has two clasps that hold it closed. There is a crack through the bottom side of the box. But it does affect the integrity. Microscope measures: expanded) 7 1/8" x 1 7/8 at the base Wood box measures: 7" X 2 3/4" X 2 1/8" Take home this great piece of early history. Will pack carefully. Spencer Lens Co Microscope Buffalo. NY Brass and Cast with Extra Lenses and Case from NYU? Great example of an early 1900s microscope by Spencer of Buffalo. NY that I recently picked up at an estate sale. Still has a great look to it. Came in a nice wood framed case that the outside material is worn or coming off of. Case is still all intact, with carrying handle, hinges, and door. No key comes with the case. Serial number of 69870 is on the microscope. Site I looked up on the internet says this piece is from 1920 to 1921. The 3 turret microscope has a 10 mag lens at top and then the 10x. 44x and 95x lenses at the bottom. There is also a 6X and 5X mag lens for the top of the microscope in the case. The three lower lenses were in their metal cases still in the box originally. The mirror below that seems to be intact as well. I do not see where ... moreany of the lenses on the microscope are visibly cracked or missing the glass lens, certainly are dirty, so you would be buying this piece as is. But certainly no expert in microscopes, so you are buying as is. Ask any questions or request any pictures of items that are important to you before buying this piece. There is also some sort of metal attachment for the scope that is in its' own little case and marked Spencer Lens Co. that has a latch on it. What is really unique about this piece is the horizontal and vertical measuring device that is on the plate the glass slides lay on. The measuring device slide moves side to side with the screw that moves it. The one that moves the other scale top to bottom either needs adjustment or the screw is stripped. On the bottom. The piece is marked LV and then NYU, so presume this piece was once used at New York University. Mirror on bottom reflector piece is still there on both sides, but shows a lot of wear and tear. The brass components on the scope still look pretty good. There is some corrosion/rust on the cast metal part of the microscope. Most notably on the rear top of the base. The main plate the glass slide would lay on ap

Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar w ith Wooden Case and extra lenses. German microscope from the early 20th century or earlier. Made by prestigious optic material manufacturer E. Leitz Wetlzar. This nice instrument comes in its original wooden case wi th extra l enses. The microscope is made of golden brass and silvery metal. The brass pieces show slight signs of wear due to the trace of time. The company that made this microscope. E. Leitz Wetzlar, was founded in 1849 by Karl Kellner in Wetzlar(Germany) In the beginning it manufactured mainly telescopes and was called Optical Institute of Wetlzar. When the firm started producing microscopes, Kellner hired engineer Ernst Leitz, who soon became a partner. In 1869 Leitz acquired the company and named it Ernst Leitz Optical Institute. The brand became one of the most important optical manufacturers ... morein the world and many of its models are still produced nowadays. This beautiful microscope is a good example of E. Leitz Wetzlar instruments’ quality. The case is a beautiful wood(think it is walnut) consruction with a brass handle- Plate on top is marked"Noyes Bros. Cutler St. Paul Minn" Case is 14inches tall(basic scope is just over 12inches tall and 4inches wide) 9inches deep and 7inches wide-overall very nice condition It is surely a striking piece for any nostalgic lover of scientific instruments from the early 20th centur y OR later 19th century-sorry I don't know more about this super colle ct ors piece. Just found- with help from a fellow EBAYER- due to the serial# the manufacture date was 1902 Marking s are as follow s: camera picked up some and not others Rear of the base is the(larger number) 73" On the right arm of the base is"E. Leitz Wetzlar" Filiale. NY" No 67641" There are 4 extra lenses- 3 with brass cases- 1 appears to be a eye piece-please see PIC's(what you see is what you get! 19th Century Ross of London#263 Microscope This piece is SO strange. The part on the top is the only piece that is marked Ross London#263 The lense down by the platform is marked Bausch& Lomb and the extra lense in the case is marked Spencer. So.I truly have no idea which one of these people made this microscope because I cannot find a mark on the scope itself. All of the parts that are marked are removable. This is how I purchased it. So this is how I'm selling it. Microscope stands about 13" tall at the shortest level. And extends to about 17" tall. There is a screw missing from the brass plate in the front of the platform. You get everything in the photos. Because I have no idea who made this or what the parts are. I have no idea the value, but I'm sure you do. If my price is to high, make me an offer. I'm cleaning ... moreout alot of items and they will be priced to sell. I'm ready to sell this so lets negotiate! FREE SHIPPING!

There is one lens that is marked Germany. Another attachment or piece is marked Microscope Adapter T2. The other two appear to be metal attachments and are unmarked. The one appears to be the same paint and finish as another piece I harp e listed but I could not match them up anywhere. Very ice pieces but appear to be parts to other items. This is an old Ernst Leitz brass microscope that comes in a wooden case with three extra lenses. Pull-out lens and slide holders and an unopened box of newer O-I glass slides. Microscope made in 1927 and is in working condition- the kids were looking at pond water and could see all sorts of microscopic organisms in it. Very nice condition with no damage, the brass could use a polish if you want it to be shinier and it is missing one of the slide holders, but works fine with the one that it does have. Original box is nice with a bit of light wear to the finish. Eyepiece is by Leitz(6X) as are the extra lenses. Check out our other auctions this week for more machine shop tools. Nice wooden Antique Microscope box with lens cases and key to lock the box. The lock works; the inside of the box is in very good condition; the outside of the box has some wear. The bronze lens holders say E. Leitz Wetzler on them so I am assuming this is the type of microscope that fit into this box. There is a number on it: 62052. It stands 16" tall; is 8" wide; Looks like mahogany wood; brass handle; INTERESTING: There is a microscope lens attached with tape to the inside door of the box; it says"flea from rat" on it!
Vintage Brass and Iron Microscope. Both lenses are marked E. Leitz Wetzlar. The eyepiece can be raised and lowered easily and the 2 lower opticals rotate easily. The entire mechanism can pivot 90 degrees so the barrel is horizontal. The lower double mirror is in fine shape- no cracks. The finish on the metal has some nicks and scratches etc. as shown in the photos. Eyepiece lens marked"GRAF APSCO CHICAGO. USA 10X" Lower lenses are marked 5 and 7. All appears to be in good functional use to my untrained eye, but it would need a proper cleaning to remove the dust specks from the lenses. Even as a display piece it is simply stunning. Measures Approx: 14" tall at full height down to 11” Base is 4" x 5 1/2" Please Feel Free To Ask Questions Especially Before Bidding.

Striking German Microscope Made in the Early 20th Century. With Four Lenses. Original Case and In Working Order This great microscope is a jewel from the early 20th century. A scientific device made in Germany between 1900 and 1910. The microscope works perfectly and comes in its original case, made of solid mahogany wood with a nice light golden color. It comes with a complete series of accessories. The instrument is a highly attractive and functional piece that has survived to our days in great condition. One of the adjustment screws is missing but this detail does not interfere at all in the microscope’s operation, so it can be perfectly used to watch samples just like when it was originally made. The instrument has black-enameled iron frame and top composed of polished brass pieces. The brass keeps the original transparent lacquer in ... morequite good condition. Especially if we remember that this article is more than one hundred years old. The lenses’ surface shows some slight signs of wear, typical of antique microscopes and that are a sign of their ancient age and past. Nevertheless this microscope’s general condition is quite good and this fact turns it into a rare and interesting piece for any collector. The microscope comes with four original lenses in their brass sleeves. It includes the eyepieces and other accessories that make up a complete set. The box designed to store the set is the original one. Made of beautiful mahogany wood and very well preserved. It keeps the original handle, lock and key that can be operated to lock and unlock the case just like the first day of use. Inside the door, two metal plates support a paper sheet where we can find some data such as the microscope’s serial number(12276) and the magnifications. This complete microscope from the early 1900s is a real beauty. An antique item still in good working order that keeps all the charm of the authentic pieces. Measurements: Width: 16 cm/6.2 in. Height: 30 cm/11.8 in. I think I left nothing in the description but if I forgot somethin
This vintage CARL ZEISS microscope was manufactured around 1950 in Germany. This instrument is 11 1/2-inches high and sits on a round 6 1/4-inch base. It was designed to check the quality if lenses for eyeglasses/spectacles after manufacture. It comes equipped with a built-in. Working illumination system. The adjustment that controls the 8-inch horizontal plate is calibrated in millimeters. When viewing, the image has cross-hairs superimposed on a 0 to 180-degree semi-circular scale. With the light turned on, a circle of small green dots sits on top of the center of the cross-hairs, and a small illuminated circle appears with another scale from 0 to +25 and 0 to-25. The larger adjustment controls the focus and the illuminated circle setting. The smaller adjustment turns the circle scale on and off. When the green circle of dots is sharp, ... morethe circle scale reads zero. Its manufacturing plate is stamped"CARL ZEISS 312576 GERMANY. This instrument is in very good condition; there are no dents, cracks or repairs to the body and the knurled rings are without damage. The optics are sharp for the images I described, but I have no way of testing it with a lens(see all photographs) It comes as pictured. ANTIQUE A.S. ALOE BRASS MICROSCOPE WITH 3 LENSES AND OTHER ACCESSORIES IN ORIGINAL WOODEN BOX This extraordinary microscope was made by the A. S. Aloe Company of St. Louis Missouri. The company started using the name A. S. Aloe& Company in 1885 but I have no way of knowing when the microscope was actually made. It appears to be turn of the century and all brass as far as I can tell. The microscope and two of the lens cases are imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS. But there is no serial number. Hopefully the photographs will help to date this item. The wooden case was made to house three lens cases but along the way someone crafted a second housing that holds two additional lens cases. see photo#7) The rest of the case pieces appear to be all original. There are two eyepieces- a one-inch and a two-inch. There are five brass lens cases as ... morefollows: 1) One brass case imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and made to contain the lens that is on the microscope now. The lens is also imprinted with A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and the designation 2/3. 2) One brass case imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and made to contain a second lens. This lens is also imprinted with A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and the designation TUBE LENGTH 140 1/6. 3) One brass case with no imprint at all- possibly to house a third lens if the owner ever bought one. 4) One brass case imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO ROCHESTER N.Y. NEW YORK CITY and the designation 1/12. The lens is also imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO and the designation OIL IMM. 1/12 1.30 N.A. TUBE LENGTH 160.0 MM. 5) One brass case imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO ROCHESTER N.Y. NEW YORK CITY and the designation IMMERSION OIL. The bottle is still about 1/3 full of the oil! I believe that the handcrafted two-lens housing was made to house the oil immersion lens case and the immersion oil case. The felt is still present on all of the wood pieces in the wooden case that cushion the microscope and various lenses and accessories. And in addition to the original equipment. The

While out making my rounds hunting for cameras I came across this beautiful antique Zeiss microscope. I have been told that this is a first series Stand E and dates from 1925. I can't be entirely sure that is accurate but the person that told me that seemed to know what they were talking about. As I mentioned I am a camera guy so I am not entirely familiar with Microscopes so forgive me if I use the incorrect terminology. The Microscope is in Very good to Excellent condition. The enamal paint is excellent. There are a few tiny chips around the base. Most of the Brass is also excellent. There is some pitting in the brass mostly on the barrels of the lenses. There is also a little plating loss on the top brass barrel along with a little tarnish. All knobs and dials move freely and smoothly. The Microscope comes with a total of 5 lenses. ... more2 top and 3 bottom. The top lenses are 7x and 10x. The bottoms are, 8.20, 40.65, and HI 90 1.25. Each of the bottom lenses comes with a metal tube case. Everything comes in the original wood case. Sorry the key for the case is long gone. The lenses appear to be fog and fungus free, but the small lower lenses were to small for me to get a good look at so I can't guarantee those ones. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer. Given that age of the item, I am selling it as is. I often offer multiple shipping options. Be sure to check because Priority Mail is sometimes cheaper depending on where you are. Good Luck and Happy Bidding.
