Offered here with no hidden reserve a Spencer Lens Co. microscope lens(I believe this is called an objective) in a brass canister. The canister is marked ... more16MM and has been expertly machined to house the lens it contains so that the glass at the end of the lens does not come in to contact with the bottom of the canister. The lens itself is marked Spencer Lens Co 41929. 4MMN AP.0.75. I would describe the condition of the piece as far as appearance goes as very good with expected fine scratches and nice patina. I have no way of knowing if the lens glass itself is functional but it appears to be unblemished. The overall approximate dimensions of the canister are: height- 1 3/4" diameter 1" top, 7/8" bottom. Please examine pictures and contact with any questions. Returns accepted within 3 days of receipt/inspection. Thanks for your interest.

Spencer Lens Co Microscope Buffalo, NY Brass and Cast Extra Lenses & Case NYU
Spencer Lens Co Microscope Buffalo. NY Brass and Cast with Extra Lenses and Case from NYU? Great example of an early 1900s microscope by Spencer of Buffalo. NY that I recently picked up at an estate sale. Still has a great look to it. Came in a nice wood framed case that the outside material is worn or coming off of. Case is still all intact, with carrying handle, hinges, and door. No key comes with the case. Serial number of 69870 is on the microscope. Site I looked up on the internet says this piece is from 1920 to 1921. The 3 turret microscope has a 10 mag lens at top and then the 10x. 44x and 95x lenses at the bottom. There is also a 6X and 5X mag lens for the top of the microscope in the case. The three lower lenses were in their metal cases still in the box originally. The mirror below that seems to be intact as well. I do not see where ... moreany of the lenses on the microscope are visibly cracked or missing the glass lens, certainly are dirty, so you would be buying this piece as is. But certainly no expert in microscopes, so you are buying as is. Ask any questions or request any pictures of items that are important to you before buying this piece. There is also some sort of metal attachment for the scope that is in its' own little case and marked Spencer Lens Co. that has a latch on it. What is really unique about this piece is the horizontal and vertical measuring device that is on the plate the glass slides lay on. The measuring device slide moves side to side with the screw that moves it. The one that moves the other scale top to bottom either needs adjustment or the screw is stripped. On the bottom. The piece is marked LV and then NYU, so presume this piece was once used at New York University. Mirror on bottom reflector piece is still there on both sides, but shows a lot of wear and tear. The brass components on the scope still look pretty good. There is some corrosion/rust on the cast metal part of the microscope. Most notably on the rear top of the base. The main plate the glass slide would lay on ap

Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar (1902) with Wooden Case and extra lenses!
Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar w ith Wooden Case and extra lenses. German microscope from the early 20th century or earlier. Made by prestigious optic material manufacturer E. Leitz Wetlzar. This nice instrument comes in its original wooden case wi th extra l enses. The microscope is made of golden brass and silvery metal. The brass pieces show slight signs of wear due to the trace of time. The company that made this microscope. E. Leitz Wetzlar, was founded in 1849 by Karl Kellner in Wetzlar(Germany) In the beginning it manufactured mainly telescopes and was called Optical Institute of Wetlzar. When the firm started producing microscopes, Kellner hired engineer Ernst Leitz, who soon became a partner. In 1869 Leitz acquired the company and named it Ernst Leitz Optical Institute. German Microscope. Early 20th Century. Four Lenses, Original Case
Striking German Microscope Made in the Early 20th Century. With Four Lenses. Original Case and In Working Order This great microscope is a jewel from the early 20th century. A scientific device made in Germany between 1900 and 1910. The microscope works perfectly and comes in its original case, made of solid mahogany wood with a nice light golden color. It comes with a complete series of accessories. The instrument is a highly attractive and functional piece that has survived to our days in great condition. One of the adjustment screws is missing but this detail does not interfere at all in the microscope’s operation, so it can be perfectly used to watch samples just like when it was originally made. The instrument has black-enameled iron frame and top composed of polished brass pieces. The brass keeps the original transparent lacquer in ... morequite good condition. Especially if we remember that this article is more than one hundred years old. The lenses’ surface shows some slight signs of wear, typical of antique microscopes and that are a sign of their ancient age and past. Nevertheless this microscope’s general condition is quite good and this fact turns it into a rare and interesting piece for any collector. The microscope comes with four original lenses in their brass sleeves. It includes the eyepieces and other accessories that make up a complete set. The box designed to store the set is the original one. Made of beautiful mahogany wood and very well preserved. It keeps the original handle, lock and key that can be operated to lock and unlock the case just like the first day of use. Inside the door, two metal plates support a paper sheet where we can find some data such as the microscope’s serial number(12276) and the magnifications. This complete microscope from the early 1900s is a real beauty. An antique item still in good working order that keeps all the charm of the authentic pieces. Measurements: Width: 16 cm/6.2 in. Height: 30 cm/11.8 in. I think I left nothing in the description but if I forgot somethin
Vintage CARL ZEISS GERMANY Microscope for Lenses / Spectacles
This vintage CARL ZEISS microscope was manufactured around 1950 in Germany. This instrument is 11 1/2-inches high and sits on a round 6 1/4-inch base. It was designed to check the quality if lenses for eyeglasses/spectacles after manufacture. It comes equipped with a built-in. Working illumination system. The adjustment that controls the 8-inch horizontal plate is calibrated in millimeters. When viewing, the image has cross-hairs superimposed on a 0 to 180-degree semi-circular scale. With the light turned on, a circle of small green dots sits on top of the center of the cross-hairs, and a small illuminated circle appears with another scale from 0 to +25 and 0 to-25. ANTIQUE A.S. ALOE & CO. BRASS MICROSCOPE 3 LENSES (ALOE & B&L) PLUS WOOD CASE
ANTIQUE A.S. ALOE BRASS MICROSCOPE WITH 3 LENSES AND OTHER ACCESSORIES IN ORIGINAL WOODEN BOX This extraordinary microscope was made by the A. S. Aloe Company of St. Louis Missouri. The company started using the name A. S. Aloe& Company in 1885 but I have no way of knowing when the microscope was actually made. It appears to be turn of the century and all brass as far as I can tell. The microscope and two of the lens cases are imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS. But there is no serial number. Hopefully the photographs will help to date this item. The wooden case was made to house three lens cases but along the way someone crafted a second housing that holds two additional lens cases. see photo#7) The rest of the case pieces appear to be all original. There are two eyepieces- a one-inch and a two-inch. There are five brass lens cases as ... morefollows: 1) One brass case imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and made to contain the lens that is on the microscope now. The lens is also imprinted with A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and the designation 2/3. 2) One brass case imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and made to contain a second lens. This lens is also imprinted with A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and the designation TUBE LENGTH 140 1/6. 3) One brass case with no imprint at all- possibly to house a third lens if the owner ever bought one. 4) One brass case imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO ROCHESTER N.Y. NEW YORK CITY and the designation 1/12. The lens is also imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO and the designation OIL IMM. 1/12 1.30 N.A. TUBE LENGTH 160.0 MM. 5) One brass case imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO ROCHESTER N.Y. NEW YORK CITY and the designation IMMERSION OIL. The bottle is still about 1/3 full of the oil! I believe that the handcrafted two-lens housing was made to house the oil immersion lens case and the immersion oil case. The felt is still present on all of the wood pieces in the wooden case that cushion the microscope and various lenses and accessories. And in addition to the original equipment. The

The Microscope comes with its original Mahogany cabinet, solidly constructed with a substantial metal handle and showing off its quality dovetail corner joints. The Microscope weighs a substantial 13-1/2 pounds. And you can feel the quality when you turn any of the knobs and observe the smooth, precise movement of the rack and pinion adjustments. Antique Carl Zeiss Jena Microscope. Excellent condition. With multiple Lenses.
While out making my rounds hunting for cameras I came across this beautiful antique Zeiss microscope. I have been told that this is a first series Stand E and dates from 1925. I can't be entirely sure that is accurate but the person that told me that seemed to know what they were talking about. As I mentioned I am a camera guy so I am not entirely familiar with Microscopes so forgive me if I use the incorrect terminology. The Microscope is in Very good to Excellent condition. The enamal paint is excellent. There are a few tiny chips around the base. Most of the Brass is also excellent. There is some pitting in the brass mostly on the barrels of the lenses. There is also a little plating loss on the top brass barrel along with a little tarnish. All knobs and dials move freely and smoothly. The Microscope comes with a total of 5 lenses. ... more2 top and 3 bottom. The top lenses are 7x and 10x. The bottoms are, 8.20, 40.65, and HI 90 1.25. Each of the bottom lenses comes with a metal tube case. Everything comes in the original wood case. Sorry the key for the case is long gone. The lenses appear to be fog and fungus free, but the small lower lenses were to small for me to get a good look at so I can't guarantee those ones. If you have any questions please feel free to ask and I will do my best to answer. Given that age of the item, I am selling it as is. I often offer multiple shipping options. Be sure to check because Priority Mail is sometimes cheaper depending on where you are. Good Luck and Happy Bidding.
