Antique Bausch & Lomb Microscope Jug Handle Brass Lab Equipment Science
You are bidding on a Antique Bausch& Lomb Microscope with a jug handle. It measures 5 4/8" x 4" x 12 4/8" in the closed position) The eye piece and the adjustment screws move just fine. They may just need to be oiled if that is possible. The nose piece also moves just fine and clicks the objectives in place. It is missing the slide clips and we believe the substage condenser is missing. It does have some paint loss and scratching from use. The mirror doesn't have cracks and only seems to have some very small spots on it on one side. It does appear to work when we look through the eye piece, but we have not tested it with a slide or object. We do not know as much as we would like about this piece so please ask questions if you have any. See pictures for condition since all individuals have their own opinion. Antique Mahogany Lab Microscope Slide Storage Case Box Equipment Historic Medica
This is one of the most unique items I've ever come across in my business as an estate liquidator. This is a solid mahogany lab case which would've been used back in the very early 1900's. Based on some of the design elements it appears that this case would have been used to store slides for a microscope. But. It is so well made and so functional that today it can be used to hold anything- money, jewelry, valuables; just about anything. The lid flips open to reveal a top storage area- the divider lifts out. Then there's a hatch that runs about 2/3 up the right side- open the hatch to reveal a nice little storage area. When the hatch is open you can then swing out 4 small drawers/ storage compartments. These compartments will only swing out when the hatch is open. K & D Variable Resistance Physics Lab Equipment High School Antique Wood Base
For your consideration in this auction is a Variable Resistor used in a high school Physics lab pre-1950. It was used to measure for an unknown resistance. It has six coils of resistor wires and brass pins to connect with them. The key could be set on any one of the pins and then the student would find what the resistance was by measuring the change in current and voltage. It could also be used to show how the resistance added up when in series. The knob is black Bakelite and all metal is brass except for the coils. The wood is boxwood or rosewood.
