Two objetives and a bull's eye condenser. Script engraving on the tube says" G. Oberhauser Place Dauphine Paris" and a serial number 197. Oberhauser was succeeded by Edmund Hartnack after his death in 1857. This model was produced by Hartnack and first signed" E. Hartnack sucr. de G. Oberhaeuser" However. This specific microscope has an Oberhauser made tube. Hence it may be a mixed instrument dating to the 1860s. The condition is good and the optics clear and functionning. please refer to the photos for details. SHIPPING(please read carefully! The microscope is heavy and shipping charges will be accordingly. Shipping is made promptly(within ... morea working day) after receiving cleared payment. PLEASE NOTE: sometimes items are held by the customs for longer periods of time. In the very unlikely case of a problem. Please do not open a case against me before contacting me first! You will be provided with the tracking number to follow the item and I will sort out any delay and refund you in full in case of any reasonable loss. Please be patient. As it is beyond my powers to control the customs in your country. In my experience, usually there are no problems of this kind but here and there they may occur. USA Buyers: Please note that as a result of recent Homeland Security Department measures. Some mail entering the US from around the world that would normally be sent via passenger aircraft, must now travel by cargo planes. In my experience this is resulting in some packages taking more time to arrive. If delivery of your package takes longer than normal, please rest assured that will be in transit and will eventually arrive. I do appreciate your patience. Shipping fees: I DO NOT OVERCHARGE FOR SHIPPING! Neither do I charge for the often expensive packing materials and handling. Which I do with great care. Because eBay
Vérick brass continental microscope– circa 1870's Constant Vérick advertised himself as a élève spécial de E. Hartnack(special pupil of E. Hartnack) both in the signatures he used for some of his instruments and in his catalogs. He apprenticed to Edmund Hartnack before going off on his own around 1877. By the mid 1870's he established his own firm where a number of different microscope models were produced. Among which is the continental style model presented here. The base of this meticulously constructed instrument is signed in elegant script, C. Vérick, élève special de E. Hartnack, rue de la Parcheminerie, 2, Paris" Please view photos carefully as they are a part of the description of this item. The original wooden case ha some cracks. It does however have the original key and working ... morelock. I believe there may have been a small mirror or lens that attached to the clip but I am not sure. Other than that I think everything else is here and there may even be a few extras that did not originally come with this microscope. The matching serial number on the wooden case and the microscope itself is#2754. This is a pretty low number.

You are looking at an old Leitz microscope. It works fine. But one of the lenses is missing a part, and the condenser bracket no longer moves up and down freely[oil or repair? The stage is in like new condition, but missing the clips, and most of the brass and paint is in excellent condition. I bought it used for a deal because I needed a number three lens for a folding scope of similar vintage, which I swapped for a B& L lens of low power. I have what I need for homeschooling now, so I thought I would pass it on to the next person. I will listing some more microscope parts and accessories I am not going to use very shortly. Bausch and Lomb continental microscope circa 1903. This has a fully adjustable slide manipulator. There is wear to the plating on the manipulator. There is an adjustment knob broken off the the side on the manipulator. It is present though. The large dial on top of the main shaft is loose and not connected to anything. It currently does not adjust anything. The lever to tilt the microscope is stuck. I did not want to force it and risk breaking the handle. All other knobs and adjustments appear to be working. This has three eye pieces; 7.5. 1 and 2. There are three objectives; 2/3. 1/6 and 1/12. All three have brass storage containers. The mirror is plano and concave. The box is locked and the latch has been pulled out of the door. The only damage is the screw holes are stripped. There are many photos. The original directions are included. the booklet states that it's from Chicago but made in Japan. Good luck bidding and no returns on this item unless it has been misrepresented.
