This is the original patina- have not made any attempt to clean or polish the metal. Stamped"Collins London Bockett Microscope Lamp" along the brass base perimeter. Collins of London manufactured these lamps between 1866-1900. Actual date this lamp is unknown. Measures approx 9" tall by 5" in diameter at the base. this is an antique burdick medical heat therapy lamp called the zoalite type z2 and serial no. 258. made by the burdick cabinet co. of milton. Vintage Spencer Lens Co. Buffalo. NY Magnifying Lens lamp in very good working condition with areas of minor paint wear and minor surface corrosion to the lamp housing and cast iron base. The base has the number"7" painted on it which appears quite old. It also has"Bio" painted on it which appears this was applied at a later date than the"7" The fabric covered power line cord and Bakelite plug cover have minor wear and fraying where it meets the socket. The power line cord measures 5' feet long. The bulb socket was made by GE with a Bryant power switch and has a patent date of"Nov.9. 1915" and rated for 250W. The glass magnifying lens is in excellent condition with very light. Fine surface scratches. The lamp measures 11" inches in length with a 5" diameter at its widest. The base ring ... moremeasures 5" inches diameter and the vertical height adjusting rod stands 10" inches in height. The lamp's height adjustment lock is frozen in place. Most likely from corrosion. The lock has been treated with WD40, that magic fluid developed by NASA, and hopefully will have movement tomorrow. I'll post the outcome. The bulb included is 100W and projects an impressive spotlight across the room! Very nice item!

Vintage American Optical Model 361 Lamp This v intage American Optical Model 361 microscope lamp is used. The lamp has been maintained in good working and cosmetic condition. The lamp is rated to contain a regular 60 Watt light bulb. The lamp has a translucent frosted blue filter measuring approximately 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The outside of the filter is nice and clean; the inside surface needs cleaning. Switching the lamp on produces a light that does not appear too attenuated. A curious feature to the lamp is a thin metal flap hanging down from two screws from the top of the lamp housing. The base measures approximately 5.5 inches square. Vintage Bausch& Lomb Optical Company Lamp type 21-47-47. Originally used by an ophthalmologist to melt the rubber end onto glasses. That's how they got their form. Has the original infrared bulb. Could use a regular light bulb instead. Makes a very nice space age look decoration, could be used to accent a dark corner. Measures approximately 9.5" tall by 7.5" diameter.
