Rare brass Wetzlar brass Microscope. It's not complete or fully original. But a very cool collector's piece. Comes with boxes of slides, a lot of them are prepared(a few slides are cracked, but most appear in good shape) The box doesn't appear to be original as the base doesn't lineup to the notches, but it is also included. The eyepieces are clean and clear and appears usable, but being sold AS-IS as pictured due to my limited knowledge of microscopes and not knowing how to fully test it. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will do my best to help with them. 1?RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Feog4d72f%2B%3E%3B1%3F-13e8585a509-0x102-

The similarities to the featured instrument are readily apparent. NOTE: The only significant difference is the fact that the featured instrument has a rectangular rather than a round stage. Leitz first introduced this model microscope about the year 1905 with the intent that it would serve as an economical but complete instrument for routine examinations in clinical laboratories. Thus. This model microscope found its way into clinical laboratories around the world and was a very successful addition to the Leitz varied line of precision microscopes. This is a Antique E. Leitz brass microscope. The microscope has many polished brass parts and it appears to me to be complete and original. But I am not familiar with microscopes so please view the pictures to judge for yourself. Included is some original accessories, including 2 brass cases for the lenses, and some sort of brass rod with a threaded end. The case included does fit the microscope, but I do not be-leave it to be original to the scope, it looks like a newer case used to keep the microscope safe. Still a great collector and conversation piece for any medical collector. All parts on the microscope move freely and smoothly, and nothing appears to be broken, bend, or repaired.

Antique Brass and Metal Spencer Microscope with Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Attachment and Spencer Illuminator Serial No 24832 All items in our store include NO sales tax to our US customers! Here is a great older brass microscope for your buying consideration. Recently picked it up at an auction. There were 10 microscopes recently at a high end auction that appeared to be from someone's collection or a high end store that dealt in them. I acquired 6 of them. Here is another one of them. The other microscopes will be made available for sale separately at my eBay store over the next few days as well. The microscope scope and the lens and objective case and dials are made of brass. There is some corrosion to the brass and painted surfaces in places. The black painted part of the microscope stand is some sort of other metal. There is a 6x and 10x ... moreeye lens with the scope. Also a 3x with the scope that is not the right diameter. There are no date. The serial number of 24832 on the microscope would make it as having been produced around 1914 to 1915. There is also a Spencer illuminator with the microscope that has a great vintage power cord on it. The illuminator lights up when plugged in. There is a clear and blue lens inside. The reflector is still behind the bulb. The microscope also has some sort of brass Ernst Leitz Wetzlar attachment on it for moving the specimen around both horizontally and vertically on the observation plate. This is a really nice attachment and in very nice condition. The mirror at the bottom of the scope is two sided. Not cracked or blistered, but the mirrored surface does show some wear. The glass for the lens and objective are dusty and may have some minor scratching. I see no blistered cracked or missing glass in the lenses or objectives. The microscope is 12.25" tall. By 6" across, by 6.75" wide. Nice what appears to be the original wood case, missing the original wood drawers. Case is intact, still has its' lock, no key. The objectives are a 1.8mm, a 4mm and a 6mm. Handle
Vintage Brass and Iron Microscope. Both lenses are marked E. Leitz Wetzlar. The eyepiece can be raised and lowered easily and the 2 lower opticals rotate easily. The entire mechanism can pivot 90 degrees so the barrel is horizontal. The lower double mirror is in fine shape- no cracks. The finish on the metal has some nicks and scratches etc. as shown in the photos. Eyepiece lens marked"GRAF APSCO CHICAGO. USA 10X" Lower lenses are marked 5 and 7. All appears to be in good functional use to my untrained eye, but it would need a proper cleaning to remove the dust specks from the lenses. Even as a display piece it is simply stunning. Measures Approx: 14" tall at full height down to 11” Base is 4" x 5 1/2" Please Feel Free To Ask Questions Especially Before Bidding.

This microscope belonged to my father. What he did with it. I couldn't say. He wasn't a doctor, and actually, it was just stored away. I never saw him use it. It is in very nice condition. The brass table for slides has one place on the right side where the paint is off it in about a 1/8" area. The back of the base has some marks, something sticky that is on the paint. I didn't want to chance trying to clean them with a solvent. The lenses are all good. The fine adjustment mechanism works smoothly and has no play. The rotating disc under the table clicks in solidly to it's detents, and the mirror moves smoothly. It is certainly a nicely made instrument. I believe this style would have been considered a traveling microscope, if I am reading their history correctly. Another one like this on EBay listed it as 1908. I couldn't ... moresay for sure what year this one is. The number on the table is 5349.

This auction is for. Vintage Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Brass Microscope No 216525 This is from my father-in-laws estate. This is a very cool looking old microscope.from the early 1900's I believe. This is a very solid microscope weighing in at a hefty 10 pounds. This was always kept as a display piece on my father-in-laws mantel. I'm not sure of the functionality as a working microscope.I imagine all the lenses would need to be cleaned up/polished if you were going to actually use it. I do know all the knobs and such rotate nice and smooth. There is some mild surface corrosion here and there on the brass.also the paint is somewhat peeled off the base/feet. It has two Leitz lenses.a 61 and a 3.and a Bausch and Lomb 1.9mm patent date 1925. I took LOTS of pictures to try and give you an idea of the condition. Any questions please feel free ... moreto ask. Antique German brass microscope. Marked E. Leitz Wetzlar Germany No. 250088 Very good condition; I do not see anything wrong with it. No scratches, dents or damage that I can see. It came from the estate of a doctor who had a large collection of microscopes. This was on a shelf in his home library. It appears to have been well taken care of. As to whether it is in working condition. My best guess is that it probably is functional, considering where it came from and how it was stored and displayed. I am not a science person, nor an expert on microscopes, and only remember how to use one from high school science classes, but from what I can see, it is in very good to excellent condition, and all the knobs rotate freely and easily. It is heavy and weighs about 8 1/2 lbs. Please see photos and feel free to contact me if you have questions. I ... morepack carefully and usually ship on the next business day after payment clears. Please read carefully the following report. The figures are an integral part of this description. Offered for auction is a very rare demonstration microscope by Ernst Leitz. Wetzlar, dating to around 1900 or slightly later. Demonstration microscopes are portable microscopes intended to be used in class. The lecturer is to place a slide and focus it. And the microscope can be passed around the class with each student looking through it while an explanation is given. This demonstration microscope was made around 1900 by Ernst Leitz of nickel-plated brass and steel. This small microscope is fitted with a wooden handle and can be served during lectures through the auditorium. The sample was secured to the stage by two clamps firmly attached to the vulcanite stage. The microscope has a graduated draw-tube, yet focusing is only made by a sliding ... moretube. An identical microscope can be seen in the“Museum of Optical Instruments” here: With the attached lens by E. Leitz Wetzlar. Linear enlargements up to 60X can be achieved. As opposed to most microscopes made by Ernst Leitz in Wetzlar, this instrument is unfortunately not marked with a serial number. In the Leitz catalog of optical instruments of 1902, this microscope is offered with and without fine tuning or condenser(last figure, not included but shown here for demonstration only) SHIPPING(please read carefully! Shipping is made promptly(within a day) after receiving cleared payment by EMS(Express Mailing Service) PLEASE NOTE: sometimes items are held by the customs for longer periods of time. You are bidding on an original microscope objective with its brass case. Often called a can. From the photos you will see its numbered"6. This will make a wonderful conversation piece or an addition to a collection. The craftsmanship is from a bygone era. Seldom to be found in today's throwaway world. It has a finely threaded screw-on top which screws on and off perfectly. The objective itself is solid brass and glass. No plastic. I am reducing my collection and selling other microscope objective containers and an additional objective. Feel free to look at my other listings. I am not an optics expert. I am just a collector of finely crafted items. Feel free to ask questions.
