Please read ALL of the text and view the pictures carefully. We will gladly answer any questions as best we can. Please ask questions before you bid or ... morebuy. Please scroll to the bottom of the pictures and read the terms under our last picture. I am far from an expert on these but will do my best to describe it for you. Questions encouraged.I do not see any cracked lenses and the mirror is not cracked on either side. All lenses are clear but one has a hair or something inside of it which I think you can see in the pictures. All of the knobs work smoothly. The paint is worn where you would place the slide and it looks rusty but it may be the base coat of paint as the finish is nice and smooth. It comes with the extra lenses as shown. I have taken close ups of any numbers or markings I could find. The numbers on the top of the microscope which I assume are the serial numbers are 241681. The black paint is scuffed on the bottom of the back of the base and it could use some polishing/cleaning in my opinion. The wooden finger jointed case is in nice shape with just a scuff on the one side and the original nickel handle remains on the top. The door has a lock but I do not have the key. Have a look at the pictures and please feel free to ask questions. Thank you for viewing. We have many other listings so please click the link to view them. The reflection mirror is 2 sided and the bottom coating is peeling as pictured. There are scuffs on the wooden case and a crack on the front door as pictured. Spencer Lens Co Microscope Buffalo, NY Brass and Cast Extra Lenses & Case NYU
Spencer Lens Co Microscope Buffalo. NY Brass and Cast with Extra Lenses and Case from NYU? Great example of an early 1900s microscope by Spencer of Buffalo. NY that I recently picked up at an estate sale. Still has a great look to it. Came in a nice wood framed case that the outside material is worn or coming off of. Case is still all intact, with carrying handle, hinges, and door. No key comes with the case. Serial number of 69870 is on the microscope. Site I looked up on the internet says this piece is from 1920 to 1921. The 3 turret microscope has a 10 mag lens at top and then the 10x. 44x and 95x lenses at the bottom. There is also a 6X and 5X mag lens for the top of the microscope in the case. The three lower lenses were in their metal cases still in the box originally. The mirror below that seems to be intact as well. I do not see where ... moreany of the lenses on the microscope are visibly cracked or missing the glass lens, certainly are dirty, so you would be buying this piece as is. But certainly no expert in microscopes, so you are buying as is. Ask any questions or request any pictures of items that are important to you before buying this piece. There is also some sort of metal attachment for the scope that is in its' own little case and marked Spencer Lens Co. that has a latch on it. What is really unique about this piece is the horizontal and vertical measuring device that is on the plate the glass slides lay on. The measuring device slide moves side to side with the screw that moves it. The one that moves the other scale top to bottom either needs adjustment or the screw is stripped. On the bottom. The piece is marked LV and then NYU, so presume this piece was once used at New York University. Mirror on bottom reflector piece is still there on both sides, but shows a lot of wear and tear. The brass components on the scope still look pretty good. There is some corrosion/rust on the cast metal part of the microscope. Most notably on the rear top of the base. The main plate the glass slide would lay on ap

1909. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope. Original Case.Good Condition.Working Order
Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope from 1909. Original Case. In Good Condition and Working Order Smart German microscope from 1901. Perfectly preserved and in good working order. This microscope was made by Ersnt Leitz Wetzlar company, which was founded by K. Kellner in Wetzlar in 1849. The name of the company comes from engineer E. Leitz, who was hired to work in the firm and afterwards became its owner. It is a remarkable fact that Leitz has been always a reference in the field of optical material; its Canadian factory was renowned by their famous Leica cameras. This microscope comes in its original solid wood case and keeps all its accessories. Eyepieces and lenses in good condition. The microscope is made of brass with parts painted black. The brass keeps the original varnish, meant to protect the metal from rusting. This is why the brass ... moreis so polished and shiny, free from pitting. The lenses are in very good condition and provide a clear and neat view. In the central cylinder we can see the inscription Enrst Leitz Wetzlar and London, with the serial number: 122054. The name of the company is also engraved in the lenses. The microscope preserves all its original components: lenses, eyepieces, mirrors and the clips attached to the stage. The case which houses the microscope is made of solid beech wood. Inside there is a wooden stand designed to hold the eyepieces. We can also see two wooden boxes with sliding covers which contain material designed to clean the lenses and prepare the samples. The case has dovetail joints. As beautiful as strong, and keeps the original lock and keyhole. The metal handle at the top, designed to carry the microscope, is also original. In the upper edge of the box we can see the serial number, carved on the wood; this number also appears in a label fixed to the inside of the door. This label shows some technical data with information about the microscope, the objectives and the eyepieces under the name of Magnification Table. The inscriptions are beautifully hand-written, turning thi

Bausch & Lomb Microscope ~ circa 1935 ~ Locking Case ~ sweet estate find !
This is a working 1930's microscope with two objectives- 10X and 43X. A clean and clear swiveling mirror, and light reducing wheel beneath the table(basically an aperture to control the incoming light) All controls are tight and properly lubricated. Came from the estate of a retired small-town MD. Not a garage-sale or thrift store item. It came directly from the doctors kitchen to our living room; was well cared for always. As you can see. There are two focusing controls; the small one is for'fine' focusing. The color is black with a slate colored table and some brass showing behind the main tube. Any wear on this item is honest wear and not abuse. The case is a finger-jointed maple type wood. And may not be the original case, as it looks like a 1950's style. The eye-piece optical says: B&L opt co. U.S.A. 10X. The 10X ... moreobjective says: Patent Oct.13.1925 Bausch& Lomb Opt.Co.Rochester N.Y. USA Divisible 16mm 0.25 10X. The 43X objective says: Bausch& Lomb Opt.Co.Rochester N.Y. USA 4mm 0.65 US Patent 1,557,503- 1,889,794. The serial number for this scope is 240532. Device is in good working order, but due to vintage nature of age, item is sold on an'as-is' basis.

Antique Leitz Wetzlar 1930's Leica Named WW2 Microscope Org. Case, Slides & More
Thank your for stopping by! We look forward to doing business with you! Customer satisfaction is our number one priority! Up for auction is a great piece of scientific history. This early Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope comes from an estate where the owner of this microscope served in WW2 completing field research. Model No. 340922 The case bears the name tag James Langill. Woburn Mass. housed under a chrome nameplate holder on the top of the case. The Microscope is stamped Ernst Leitz Wetzlar in many places. On the inside of the case it features the Leitz nameplate logo. Sadly I could only post 12 pictures. More pictures are available upon request. I tried to upload the most important photo's within the 12 allowed. The Microscope is fully functional. Some wear due to age. The chrome and brass are in nice shape. The original case also ... moreincludes the original slide and accessory storage box. Which is normally missing. There are also 16 original slides with labeled specimens still in the case. They are stamped Japan so I can only assume they were used in research during the war while in Japan. Two original lenses/eye pieces are included as well as three original small storage containers. Along with the slides there was also an old thermometer, package of cover glasses and two slide holding chrome clips. Please see list below for what the specimens are on the slides. Inside the slide case(on the inside cover) there is a Leitz Microscope No. Identification Table that has never been written in. The original dual sided mirror is in tact. Clean and free of cracks or chips. All knobs work and turn allowing adjustments to function. This is a great looking microscope with nice history. Please see all pictures as they are a large part of the description process. No Reserve! Details: E. Leitz Wetzler 6x Eye Piece E. Leitz Wetzler 10x Eye Piece E. ANTIQUE CHILD'S MICROSCOPE T. H. McALLISTER, NEW YORK
This is a young person's microscope manufactured by famous 19th century American maker T. H. McAllister of New York. It comes in a solid wooden box and has a cylinder which moves up and down to focus on a specimen slide. At its base the microscope has a round mirror which pivots back and forth as well as up and down to reflect light up through the specimen. There are three original specimen slides included with the microscope-a flea. Moss and what appears to be a section of butterfly wing, the end of this third slide is broken off and it is not possible to identify this specimen for sure. The microscope comes in its own solid wood storage box with hook-and-eye closures which still work. Dimensions of the storage box are 7 3/4 inches wide, 4 1/4 inches deep, and 3 1/2 inches tall. Beautifully preserved inside and out, this antique child's ... moremicroscope was used by my grandfather, who was born in 1886. Vnt Antique Bausch & Lomb Optical Co Brass Metal Slide Microscope Rochester N. Y
For your consideration from a smoke free estate. A truly wonderful piece of vintage optical equipment. I am going to do my best to describe this antique brass microscope. But as I am not an expert by any means in this area please forgive any incorrect terminolgy. Any questions or information is all welcomed and appreciated. This microscope is made of brass and black metal. All we have done is to dust this piece. So the brass. Although warm appears scratched. It looks really retro as it is. But I would think if you wanted to use it you would need to shine it up. I leave the cleaning of these valuable older treasures to the experts. The base is black and measures 5 1/2" longest) 3 3/4" widest) Base does have minimal surface rust(photo 7) and a screw that does turn. I think this screw may tighten the base into place. Back of base has ... morea round metal plate that I think is brass. It reads: Bausch& Lomb Optical Rochester N.Y. New York City. The Bausch is a little hard to read. The mirror rotates and swings freely. The mirror measures 1 3/4" across. The metal around one side of the the mirror has some age rust(photo 7) One side of the mirror magnifies the other is just regular mirror. The mirror side that does not magnify has some silver loss around the edge(see photo 7) this does not seem to effect the visiblity. The mirror will be removed for shipping as to decrease the risk of breakage. The area that holds the slides is black, the two slide holders are intact with good movement and I think they are brass. The opening in slide stage is 1/2" The underside of the slide plate has a circular dial I believe brass piece. This circular dial has 4 holes, I think they are used to regulate the light that reaches the mirror. This dial moves freely and the largest opening measures 1/2" across. The microscope raises up and down without problems but may need to be lubricated. At the tallest it is 14" retracted 11" The piece closest to the slide stage is marked: Bausch& Lomb 16 mm 0.25 N.A. T

****SALE****Bausch & lomb antique microscope, case and key- great Steampunk!
This is a wonderful Bausch& Lomb Optical Co. microscope. Patent date is Jan. 5. 1915. I don't see a model number on it, but has all the tiny writing and tiny numbers of the strength of lenses etc. It is in wonderful working order. Everything glides smoothly, unscrews smoothly to clean lenses etc. I even saw tiny little organisms on slides through it! The case is sturdy and has that beautiful age to the wood. The joints are tight and the top drawers that hold lenses slide out easily and nicely. If you have any questions- please don't hesitate to ask. This is a really great piece. Oh! and it has it's key! Just make sure you have it in the right way- teeth to the outside. Or it will drive you crazy! Posted with

Antique brass folding Bausch & Lomb portable microscope model BHP, full set
Offered for auction is a fine Bausch& Lomb portable microscope Model BHP S.N. 74484. Dating to 1908. This full research microscope is housed compactly in a 29 x 19 x 8 cm mahogany carrying case. It sets up by simply spreading the hinged base. Then swinging the stage 90 0 and locking it into place. The profile of this instrument features an integrated"jug handle" cut into the squared off limb. A design that became popular among some producers between ca. 1900 and 1920. This B&L"Portable Microscope Model BHP" has all the features and rigidity of their research stands. But in a convenient traveling form. Not many of these microscopes were produced, because their price was over two times the price of a regular B&L Model BH desk-top microscope. Reference: The Billings Collection catalogue: P. 127 No. AFIP 49447; ... morep. 118. Fig. 223. The original optics that come with this microscope are all signed by Carl Zeiss. The set even has the original Eder immesion oil in an original bottle fitting a special slot inside the case. The case is complete. The inner and outer condition is very good. The original brass lock is completely functional but the original key was missing when I bought the set. However, the microscope will be supplied with a modern fitted key that enables safe locking and unlocking of the case. This is an extremely well-preserved set of an early scientific instrument. Produced by one of the most respected American maker with optic made by the best German maker of the time. During the early 20th century, B&L and Carl Zeiss formed a partnership hence the combined features of this microscope. This is a rare item in excellent condition that will suit every serious collection. I list it with low starting bid and no reserve. Please note: This is a private listing. I will not sell it outside eBay. Please don't address me with such requests. Please note: The accompanying array of images of the microscope and its Mahogany case taken from various angles are a part of this statement

Nice Antique Vintage Early 1900's bausch & Lomb Optical Co. Microscope Wood Case
Please read ALL of the text and view the pictures carefully. We will gladly answer any questions as best we can. Please ask questions before you bid or buy. The numbers on the top of the microscope which ... moreI assume are the serial numbers are 241681. Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar (1902) with Wooden Case and extra lenses!
Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar w ith Wooden Case and extra lenses. German microscope from the early 20th century or earlier. Made by prestigious optic material manufacturer E. Leitz Wetlzar. This nice instrument comes in its original wooden case wi th extra l enses. The microscope is made of golden brass and silvery metal. The brass pieces show slight signs of wear due to the trace of time. The company that made this microscope. E. Leitz Wetzlar, was founded in 1849 by Karl Kellner in Wetzlar(Germany) In the beginning it manufactured mainly telescopes and was called Optical Institute of Wetlzar. When the firm started producing microscopes, Kellner hired engineer Ernst Leitz, who soon became a partner. In 1869 Leitz acquired the company and named it Ernst Leitz Optical Institute. The brand became one of the most important optical manufacturers ... morein the world and many of its models are still produced nowadays. This beautiful microscope is a good example of E. Leitz Wetzlar instruments’ quality. The case is a beautiful wood(think it is walnut) consruction with a brass handle- Plate on top is marked"Noyes Bros. American Agriculturist (Orange Judd) Antique Microscope ca. 1878 Bausch & Lomb
135 year Old Bausch& Lomb Field Microscope While appearing to be a toy microscope. This microscope was manufactured by Bausch and Lomb, Rochester, NY, as a premium for Orange Judd Company’s American Agriculturist magazine, as a tool for farmers to examine seeds and insect pests. By the 1880s farmers were using microscopes to examine their pork for trichina cysts– the source of trichinosis. The microscope has three pivoting lenses and its original glass slide. The cardboard box is aged but in original condition without restoration or any paper loss- Please note the inscription on the inside lid that says it was received an January 28. 1878 Microscope: 2” high x 2” diameter at base. Box: 2 1/4” high x 2 1/4” wide x 2 1/4” deep As Found-Appears complete and in excellent shape for its age! Please see attached images“In 1877 American Agriculturist ... moremagazine announced that every subscriber could receive a microscope with their 1878 subscription for an additional 40 cents. Non-subscribers could purchase the microscope for $1.50. The publisher claimed that 125.000 of these hard rubber stand-3 lens microscopes were manufactured for the 1878 mailing. This model, especially with its original cardboard box, is highly sought by collectors. Unlike the great variety of“household” and small drum microscopes which were being imported from France in the 1870's, The American Agriculturist microscope was made in America and designed by Bausch& Lomb, which may explain its interest to U.S. collectors. Complete Brass Microscope in its Original Wooden Case. Great Britain, 1860.
Complete Brass Microscope in its Original Wooden Case. Great Britain. 1860. In Working Order Antique unsigned brass microscope made in Great Britain circa 1860. This is a beautiful device that works perfectly and comes in its original light wooden case. The microscope keeps all its original parts. And the objectives and magnifying glass are in excellent condition. The brass is as shiny as when the instrument was made, showing only very slight signs of the trace of time that just enhance its elegant presence. Inside the wooden box we also find a series of accessories and samples that together with the microscope make up a highly attractive set. The microscope stands on a light wooden plank and is supported by two solid black-enameled legs. This lovely article comes with an independent magnifying glass to concentrate light attached to a slim ... morestand. Also made of brass. The whole set boasts a stylized and singularly balanced design that differentiates it from the classical vintage microscopes we are used to see. The item has an objective and the typical oscillating mirror located under the sample plate; both pieces are in perfect condition. The original box designed to store the instrument is made of light colored wood. It keeps the metal handle attached to its top and at the bottom it has a small drawer containing the sample plates. The ones that come with this microscope are from the time when the instrument was made and keep different elements to be observed. At the top right corner of the box. A wooden stand with two circular openings holds the cylindrical metal cases designed to protect objectives. This magnificent microscope is surely a highly interesting piece because of its ancient age and original design. It is surely an article worthy of belonging to a museum of scientific devices from the 19th century. Measurements: Width: 170 mm. Height: 310 mm. I think I left nothing in the description but if I forgot something. I'll be glad to answer any questions. Bid with confidence. We are professional antique de

NACHET ET FILS ANTIQUE BRASS MICROSCOPE RARE ANTIQUE EXAMPLE BRASS
I state first- I am up and don't really live or sleep on the sale of this item but it is a sweet microscope so control the nerdgasim. As far as I can see its all there- see the pictures for yourself- no cleaning in decades. I didn't look through it but all looks well on the piece- the box fits the microscope perfect and the brass shines like the first day of summer. so this is what I know about the piece. It is a NACHET ET FILS OF Paris Antique circa 1870 brass compound Microscope that is roughly 150 years old- give or take a decade. This is kinda a big deal as you are invited to purchase a very fine antique brass compound monocular microscope by Nachet et Fils of Paris along with a very nicely appointed Mahogany case that houses the instrument and accompanying parts- as far as I can see all parts. It is a Nachet’s“Petit Modele Droit” ... moreSmall Vertical Model) compound monocular microscope by best estimate. This is signed on the top rear of the solid brass foot. NACHET ET FILS, 17 Rue St. Severin, Paris. see photo)The microscope seems in exceptional shape- see photos. The address allows us to date the instrument to circa 1870. NOTE: For more details on the history of the Nachet product just search- this is a deal- if you look up things like"brass microscope" or“Maison Nachet et Fils Fabrique” tell me I am wrong- walk in a store that deals in vintage microscopes and leave with something like this for less than 2 grand- seriously- I move product- they will have a romantic involvement with this nerd focuser. So how do I put it- this thing is complete- all parts are there(see pictures) and there are a small window of these things existing. $799 plus $25 shipping and its out the door- a hell of a deal- I wish more people would appreciate the importance of this pieces.
