Free Shipping Location: Cleveland, United States For Sale! Hi. Here we have a nice antique Ernst Leitz Wetzlar microscope and two Spencer accessories for it. These were my Dad's and I really don't ... moreneed them or use them. He used them to look at really small rock samples I believe for prospecting. What the two accessories for it do. I don't know or if they work properly or not. They appear to be in good shape and offhand, look like some kind of adapters so two people can look at the same thing at the same time, but I haven't tried them. They look to be in pretty good shape as the pictures show. I'm sure somebody out there knows what they are. They are in seperate boxes marked Spencer, Buffalo NY. The one that has 90 degree angled eyepeices has a 6x and a 10x eyepeice and the eyepiece on the long tube can rotate around. It's in the black box and that's nice. The brown box is a bit rougher and it has one that is at an angle and has two 6x eyepeices. The microscope has Ernst Leitz Wetzlar on it and is marked No. 291286. I don't know if that's a model number or a serial number. It has a 10x eyepiece and two magnifying lenses. Once is a number 3 and the other is a 6L. I don't know what the numbers mean. You can look through it and see light via the mirror so I believe it will work. The mirror can be moved around and there is an iris mechanism above the mirror that works via an arm. Both the knob sets turn smoothly. It's been used as it has some scratches and paint loss here and there and some light corrosion on various parts as you can see in the photos. But overall I don' think it's in too bad a shape. I know he rarely took it out and kept it put away almost all the time. I don't know how old it is. That's about all I can say about it. What you see is what you get! Please ask any questions before bidding and thanks for looking Get it here far cheaper than at other places. Don't blink or it will be gone! PAYMENT. 1909. Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope. Original Case.Good Condition.Working Order
Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope from 1909. Original Case. In Good Condition and Working Order Smart German microscope from 1901. Perfectly preserved and in good working order. This microscope was made by Ersnt Leitz Wetzlar company, which was founded by K. Kellner in Wetzlar in 1849. The name of the company comes from engineer E. Leitz, who was hired to work in the firm and afterwards became its owner. It is a remarkable fact that Leitz has been always a reference in the field of optical material; its Canadian factory was renowned by their famous Leica cameras. This microscope comes in its original solid wood case and keeps all its accessories. Eyepieces and lenses in good condition. The microscope is made of brass with parts painted black. The brass keeps the original varnish, meant to protect the metal from rusting. This is why the brass ... moreis so polished and shiny, free from pitting. The lenses are in very good condition and provide a clear and neat view. In the central cylinder we can see the inscription Enrst Leitz Wetzlar and London, with the serial number: 122054. The name of the company is also engraved in the lenses. The microscope preserves all its original components: lenses, eyepieces, mirrors and the clips attached to the stage. The case which houses the microscope is made of solid beech wood. Inside there is a wooden stand designed to hold the eyepieces. We can also see two wooden boxes with sliding covers which contain material designed to clean the lenses and prepare the samples. The case has dovetail joints. As beautiful as strong, and keeps the original lock and keyhole. The metal handle at the top, designed to carry the microscope, is also original. In the upper edge of the box we can see the serial number, carved on the wood; this number also appears in a label fixed to the inside of the door. This label shows some technical data with information about the microscope, the objectives and the eyepieces under the name of Magnification Table. The inscriptions are beautifully hand-written, turning thi

Antique Leitz Wetzlar 1930's Leica Named WW2 Microscope Org. Case, Slides & More
Thank your for stopping by! We look forward to doing business with you! Customer satisfaction is our number one priority! Up for auction is a great piece of scientific history. This early Ernst Leitz Wetzlar Microscope comes from an estate where the owner of this microscope served in WW2 completing field research. Model No. 340922 The case bears the name tag James Langill. Woburn Mass. housed under a chrome nameplate holder on the top of the case. The Microscope is stamped Ernst Leitz Wetzlar in many places. On the inside of the case it features the Leitz nameplate logo. Sadly I could only post 12 pictures. More pictures are available upon request. I tried to upload the most important photo's within the 12 allowed. The Microscope is fully functional. Some wear due to age. The chrome and brass are in nice shape. The original case also ... moreincludes the original slide and accessory storage box. Which is normally missing. There are also 16 original slides with labeled specimens still in the case. They are stamped Japan so I can only assume they were used in research during the war while in Japan. Two original lenses/eye pieces are included as well as three original small storage containers. Along with the slides there was also an old thermometer, package of cover glasses and two slide holding chrome clips. Please see list below for what the specimens are on the slides. Inside the slide case(on the inside cover) there is a Leitz Microscope No. Identification Table that has never been written in. The original dual sided mirror is in tact. Clean and free of cracks or chips. All knobs work and turn allowing adjustments to function. This is a great looking microscope with nice history. Please see all pictures as they are a large part of the description process. No Reserve! Details: E. Leitz Wetzler 6x Eye Piece E. Leitz Wetzler 10x Eye Piece E. 1948 Big E. Leitz Wetlzar Binocular + Monocular Microscope. In Perfect Condition
German Binocular- Monocular Microscope Made by E. Leitz Wetlzar in 1948. In Perfect Condition Great German microscope made by E. Leitz Wetzlar in the middle of the 20th century(1948) In perfect condition and working order. This scientific instrument is quite peculiar as it can be used in two ways, monocular and binocular. Both options can be chosen just changing the eyepiece. The item comes in its original mahogany wood case and keeps all its accessories: eyepieces, objectives and wooden stands designed to store all the pieces in good order. E. Leitz Wetlzar is a classical and prestigious firm in the field of optical devices. The company started in 1849 when Karl Kellner founded the Optical Institute in Wetzlar. Germany. In the beginning the original emphasis was on telescopes, but soon microscopes started to be the main product. In 1865 ... moreKellner hired a very capable engineer, Ernst Leitz, who soon became a partner and in only four years took over the company and renamed it Optical Institute of Ernst Leitz, Wetlzar. The firm has been a leader in the field on optical instruments and components for decades, and among other designs it was the producer of famous Leica photographic cameras. This microscope is made of black-lacquered iron. In very good conditions. The objectives, eyepieces and mobile parts are made of silvery metal. All the components are well preserved and work fluidly, letting the user view the samples correctly. The mahogany case boasts nice dovetail joints, delicate and solid. Inside the door, two metal plates hold the instruction leaflet and a foil with information about the microscope: serial number(381717) magnification data and manufacturing date(November 16th, 1948) This microscope’s good condition and particular design. Together with its excellent working order, turn it into a classical piece worthy of the best collection of scientific instruments from the 20th century. Measurements: Width: 130 mm. Height: 380 mm. I think I left nothing in the description but if I forgot something. I'l

Antique Stereographic Microscope Ernst Leitz Wetzlar C1885
The scope is offered as found. It is 9 inches tall as shown. The serial number is 7289. There are three vertical adjustments. Two manual with little locking levers and one by rack and pinion. There is no case. Marked on the shoulder of the prism housing is:a5-10x” a10-20x” and“a15-30x” which is the power of the oculars but only the pair marked“a15-30x” is present on this unit. The glass stage dovetails into the brass base and is a bit chippy due, no doubt, to careless re-insertion or dropping after being removed for cleaning. The surface of the stage is scratched with what looks like scalpel or knife marks so it would appear that the scope was used for dissection. The optics are good. It has been sitting on the shelf for a good many years and needs a good cleaning but there is no damage or deterioration except as noted. Please email for further ... moreinformation or pictures. Vintage/Antique Early 1900s Leitz Wetzlar Microscope w/Wooden Case
You are bidding on one lot of one old microscope by Leitz Wetzlar. This has a serial number of 110262 probably dating it to the early 1900s. I do not know much about microscopes personally. But everything seems to move smoothly, including the focus and fine focus, The turret, and the mirror assembly. It tilts back fine as well. There is a lens up top marked 3. And then another lens top without the barrel marked 4. It has a three lens turret but only two are in use. One is a Leitz Wetzlar 3 and the other is a Spencer 4MM 44X. There is an extra Bausch& Lomb 16MM 10X lens but it does not fit. There is a double sided mirror, the looks in good condition, and another assembly with an aperture that swings back and forth under the slide table. There is also another aperture under the slide table that opens and closes with a lever. Has a heavy ... morecast iron base and looks like brass knobs and a brass finish to the main barrel. This item seems well used and has its fair share of scuffs and scratches. Along with finish wear in a number of places. Also comes with a custom E. Leitz Wetzlar wooden case. It has a lock but no key. It is in very good sturdy condition but has scuffs and scratches from use. Overall a neat old microscope that needs a detailed cleaning and maybe a bit or restoration to look its best. Please email me with any questions prior to bidding. The accompanying photo is of the actual lot you are bidding on. I accept PayPal only at this time. Goods usually shipped the next postal day after payment received(except Saturdays. Mondays, and the day after a postal holiday) Shipping and handling charge is $22.50 in continental USA. Antique Early 1900's E. Leitz Wetzlar Polished Brass Microscope w/ Case + More
This is a Antique E. Leitz brass microscope. The microscope has many polished brass parts and it appears to me to be complete and original. But I am not familiar with microscopes so please view the pictures to judge for yourself. Included is some original accessories, including 2 brass cases for the lenses, and some sort of brass rod with a threaded end. The case included does fit the microscope, but I do not be-leave it to be original to the scope, it looks like a newer case used to keep the microscope safe. Still a great collector and conversation piece for any medical collector. All parts on the microscope move freely and smoothly, and nothing appears to be broken, bend, or repaired.

Ernst Leitz Wetzlar microscope with Spencer accessories.
For Sale! Hi. Here we have a nice antique Ernst Leitz Wetzlar microscope and two Spencer accessories for it. These were my Dad's and I really don't need them or use them. The ... morebrown box is a bit rougher and it has one that is at an angle and has two 6x eyepeices. PAYMENT. Old Antique Vintage Leitz Wetzlar Brass Microscope Model # 272910
This is an old Leitz Wetzlar brass embellished microscope. No 272910 In fairly good condition overall. Missing one objective lens(it has the 44x and the 10x) Missing the mechanical stage slide holder. But still has the dovetail gear on the side Needs a cleaning- and has some chipping in the black paint over the iron armature- the usual wear. Ocular lens is 10x. Brass is good- scratches seem to only be in the lacquer covering the brass. Needs to be polished- brass is more yellow than is showing in the pictures. Overall it functions properly and there is no mechanical issues. Tube. Condenser and fine focus all seem to be working fine and smoothly. Look at pics- email questions. Ships only in the USA. Vintage microscope E. Leitz Wetzlar germany w/ box & eyepieces slides science NR
you are bidding on a Vintage microscope by E. Leitz Wetzlar good condition. Made in germany in the 1920s. No. 273167, w/ metal horse shoe style base. It comes with 6x&10x eyepieces and it is equipped with 10x-45x-100x magnifying lenses. It includes 4 metal conainers- 1/12 oel immersion, a#3 container, a#6L container and cedern-oel container. The cedern container is seized close and feels heavy, There may be a objective inside. It looks as if someone has used pliers or something to try to force open as container has some gauge marks on outside. I can not open with hands, I’m not sure if it can be opened again. There are two boxes full of glass slides, cleaning cloth and an empty eye dropper. It all comes inside original wooden box that is pretty beat up but still intact. The old key and lock still function. The box has a storage compartment ... morew/ lid and two racks to hold eyepieces and containers. Inside on door is original microscope documentation and pamphlets. It is missing a clip that holds slide in place. There is some corrosion on the shinny brass in several parts, this is surface damage that affects color of brass. All the metal is solid, lenses move freely and focus mechanisms work correctly. These have been used and have some scuffs and scratches but no major damage. They would be nice for lab use, collector or good for decoration in your den or lab. Buyers with no feedback must e-mail me before bidding. U.S. buyers only, no local pick ups. Winning bidder agrees to pay by paypal only. Payment expected within 48 hrs. Buyer pays $25.00 for shipping and handling. Items sold as is.

Vintage Antique Brass Leitz Microscope circa 1894 - Leica "cousin"
This offering is a rather simple brass microscope. From Ernst Leitz, Wetzlar(Germany) the same firm which made the classic Leica Cameras(although this was made long before any Leica Cameras were made) Leica is short for LEItz CAmera) It is rather handsome, simplistically functional, and in my opinion is very attractive on a shelf. Most of the original lacquer is still present. And adds to the attractiveness. It is engraved: E. Leitz Wetzlar- New-York No 30069. Which identifies it as mfg. about 1894, per Bracegirdle's book: Notes on Modern Microscope Manufacturers" The New York address was a sales agency- Leitz microscope manufacture was in Wetzlar. From the beginning(1849) still is. Interestingly, the present new microscopes are now called"Leica" though"Leica" was originally, and for many years, the name of the ... morevery fine and very popular camera made by Leitz, Wetzlar, in Wetzlar. The precision column top knob fine focus. And sliding tube coarse focus still function very well, and the eyepiece and objective do function also. I would not expect this to serve well enough to win you a Nobel Prize, however, while it is not really a very useful microscope, it does work- To demonstrate that, I just put a piece of multi-colored cloth on the stage, illuminated it from above with my pocket LED penlight, and took the picture shown(last above) of black thread crossing colored threads under rather high magnification- just holding my Nikon Coolpix up to the eyepiece, as steadily as I can. I think of this as more something quite attractive. Historic, and interesting to look at, rather than to really use- it is as shown- no case, no extra parts, no sub stage, just a very basic stand- I have kept it on a shelf for years, where it looks quite attractive, and evokes interest. Height measures from 10 to 13 inches, depending on the tube expansion, base is about 3" by 3 1/2" and stage is about 2" by 3" Wt. is est. at 2 lbs. All metal(mostly brass) and a little glass) No Plastic! You get

Vintage Brass and Iron MICROSCOPE with two E. LEITZ Wetzlar LENSES
Vintage Brass and Iron Microscope. Both lenses are marked E. Leitz Wetzlar. The eyepiece can be raised and lowered easily and the 2 lower opticals rotate easily. The entire mechanism can pivot 90 degrees so the barrel is horizontal. The lower double mirror is in fine shape- no cracks. The finish on the metal has some nicks and scratches etc. as shown in the photos. Eyepiece lens marked"GRAF APSCO CHICAGO. USA 10X" Lower lenses are marked 5 and 7. All appears to be in good functional use to my untrained eye, but it would need a proper cleaning to remove the dust specks from the lenses. Even as a display piece it is simply stunning. Measures Approx: 14" tall at full height down to 11” Base is 4" x 5 1/2" Please Feel Free To Ask Questions Especially Before Bidding.
