Offered for auction is a fine Bausch& Lomb portable microscope Model BHP S.N. 74484. Dating to 1908. This full research microscope is housed compactly in a 29 x 19 x 8 cm mahogany carrying case. It sets up by simply spreading the hinged base. Then swinging the stage 90 0 and locking it into place. The profile of this instrument features an integrated"jug handle" cut into the squared off limb. A design that became popular among some producers between ca. 1900 and 1920. This B&L"Portable Microscope Model BHP" has all the features and rigidity of their research stands. But in a convenient traveling form. Not many of these microscopes were produced, because their price was over two times the price of a regular B&L Model BH desk-top microscope. Reference: The Billings Collection catalogue: P. 127 No. AFIP 49447; ... morep. 118. Fig. 223. The original optics that come with this microscope are all signed by Carl Zeiss. The set even has the original Eder immesion oil in an original bottle fitting a special slot inside the case. The case is complete. The inner and outer condition is very good. The original brass lock is completely functional but the original key was missing when I bought the set. However, the microscope will be supplied with a modern fitted key that enables safe locking and unlocking of the case. This is an extremely well-preserved set of an early scientific instrument. Produced by one of the most respected American maker with optic made by the best German maker of the time. During the early 20th century, B&L and Carl Zeiss formed a partnership hence the combined features of this microscope. This is a rare item in excellent condition that will suit every serious collection. I list it with low starting bid and no reserve. Please note: This is a private listing. I will not sell it outside eBay. Please don't address me with such requests. Please note: The accompanying array of images of the microscope and its Mahogany case taken from various angles are a part of this statement

This is an old Leitz Wetzlar brass embellished microscope. No 272910 In fairly good condition overall. Missing one objective lens(it has the 44x and the 10x) Missing the mechanical stage slide holder. But still has the dovetail gear on the side Needs a cleaning- and has some chipping in the black paint over the iron armature- the usual wear. Ocular lens is 10x. Brass is good- scratches seem to only be in the lacquer covering the brass. Needs to be polished- brass is more yellow than is showing in the pictures. Overall it functions properly and there is no mechanical issues. Tube. Condenser and fine focus all seem to be working fine and smoothly. Look at pics- email questions. Ships only in the USA. Unless you really want to pay the extra shipping overseas- it is heavy and would cost a lot more to ship.

Bausch and Lomb Vintage microscope model number CM 510. I just purchased this today from the estate of a veterinarian. He was 95 years old but I have no idea of the age of this scope. It comes with box. Some empty tubes with covers and some glass slides that actually have things on them. This auction will be for 5 days as we will be going on vacation shortly after. If it does not sell, it will be relisted closer to Christmas. Please email any questions. If you have any info on the age of this scope and could share, we would appreciate it. Thanks very much!

We bought this on a whim at an auction years ago because it looked so cool. It looks good sitting on top of a 1929 Radiola Tall Boy radio. And that's all we really know about old microscopes. It's missing the reflecting mirror and on of the screw-in arms that holds the slide. One of the screws that holds the specimen platform is missing and the other is obviously a replacement. The base is painted black. Please check out our other auctions. Thanks for looking. Bev and Dan
This is a vintage perfect model 803 microscope although there isnothing extremely special about the microscope- the case and everything about it is very cool please check out the pictures and email me if you have any questions thanks

Vintage Spencer Lens Model? Optical Spotlight/ Microscope Illuminator From the picture. It appears the lens is in slanted. I unscrewed the back and placed the parts in correctly. I don't know what model this is but it is very early. The bottom of the stand is stamped. I62 and C.L. CO or something like that. It is difficult to read. I'm not totally sure what this is but from what I can figure out it is a microscope or spotlight. Take a look at my other items. I will consolidate shipping.
I happen to own a very cool and keenly designed early Jug Handle 1900's Bausch and Lomb Microscope with variable light adjustment mirror on the bottom that can be flipped to amplify light even more. As you can tell there is only one top focal piece which does not seem to be removable or stationary at any position but can easily be raised or lowered. The lower magnifiers are easily switched by turning the mechanism either to the right or left. At present the microscope sits a 11.5 inches but can as high as 14 inches. The items seems to never have been professionally polished and has what appears to be blued iron with brass. The item could clean up really well if you are into that sort of thing. All knobs are smooth and appears to be operational. I have peered down through the whole but have not tried to focus in on anything currently. ... moreBut I can see that there are no major obstructions to doing so. Below the platen, is an aperture control such as the shutter on a camera. It seems to be functional, but is a bit bent slightly at the closed position from a bit of misuse or old age. The Case- Seems to be the original case and is made purely out of some kind of hard wood but can not be totally for sure. If you look closely at the finish. It seems to have set out in a moist area for some time and allow the case to mildew which has dicolored the varnish a bit. Looking at the front, it appears that there is a small label that says Microscope, yet is hard to make out. Some clown, at some time, decided that he'd be a wise guy and appeared to have slightly carved a larger spelling of Microscope on to the wood but is barely noticeable, but I wanted to mention that. The lock mechanism seems to be intact but there is no key. Baucsh& Lomb must have been in Rochester. NY because I can see it on the lower magnifying lenses which also can be removed for examination or replacement. Inside the case. There seems to be some kind of area that would hold more lenses, but I am not able to remove or jar the wood holder away from

Vintage American Optical Model 361 Lamp This v intage American Optical Model 361 microscope lamp is used. The lamp has been maintained in good working and cosmetic condition. The lamp is rated to contain a regular 60 Watt light bulb. The lamp has a translucent frosted blue filter measuring approximately 2.5 x 3.5 inches. The outside of the filter is nice and clean; the inside surface needs cleaning. Switching the lamp on produces a light that does not appear too attenuated. A curious feature to the lamp is a thin metal flap hanging down from two screws from the top of the lamp housing. The base measures approximately 5.5 inches square. The lamp has an overall height of approximately 7.5 inches. ADDITIONAL ITEM INFORMATION Additional items of this type are unavailable. The Microscope is a Binocular model with Dual Oculars and comes with three(3) Lenses/Objectives, all of which are installed on the revolving nosepiece. The Microscope comes with its original Mahogany cabinet, solidly constructed with a substantial metal handle and showing off its quality dovetail corner joints. The Microscope weighs a substantial 13-1/2 pounds. And you can feel the quality when you turn any of the knobs and observe the smooth, precise movement of the rack and pinion adjustments. The case measures 15 inches high, 7-1/2 inches wide, and 9-1/4 inches deep and weighs 7-1/2 pounds. It ... morehas a lock, but the key is missing. There is a round Bausch& Lomb product plate at the back of the Microscope with apparent serial number of 21753. We are certain of those digits. But not sure if there is also a leading"1" The case contains three lense containers, but they are empty and are for the lenses installed on the Microscope. Both the Microscope and case are in exceptional condition. The case shows general light wear. With small edge and corner bumps, but the overall finish is in above average condition. The Microscope looks well taken care of, and is free of any obvious damage. Knobs show some light pitting and corrosion, but all turn smoothly and without difficulty. Surface wear to the body of the Microscope is minimal, with only isolated scratches on the black painted surfaces. We rate the overall condition of the Microscope as very good. This is a rare Bausch& Lomb Microscope model. In exceptional condition, and complete with case and lenses. It would make a wonderful addition to any collection! What a great find. Looks like a beautiful museum piece. For it's age I would say condition is decent. Microscope moves and appears to function but the lens are dirty and need to be cleaned. To be fully functional I would believe it needs a good thorough cleaning/ oiling ect. It appears to be mostly complete. Pictures show the different lens and eyepieces that are included. The wooden case has some wear. It has a crack on one side but is still solid and working. The lock is broken and appears the key broke off inside of it. For this item please inspect and study the images as they are your best description. There should be no need for returns but as an antique item like this it sells for AS IS. I don't know much about these items and am just hoping it finds the good and right home. It will be shipped carefully and insured. No returns ... moreplease!
