Rare Antique Brass/Cast Iron Microscope NY Biological Supply Co Bio-Scope in box This item is very rare and hard to fine. Its in original box which has a good amount of wear as seen in pic. But still holds content well. The bottom of case is not attached. It has no impact on the case being able to hold content. The content itself is in very nice condition for age. Vintage Brass and Iron Microscope. Both lenses are marked E. Leitz Wetzlar. The eyepiece can be raised and lowered easily and the 2 lower opticals rotate easily. The entire mechanism can pivot 90 degrees so the barrel is horizontal. The lower double mirror is in fine shape- no cracks. The finish on the metal has some nicks and scratches etc. as shown in the photos. Eyepiece lens marked"GRAF APSCO CHICAGO. USA 10X" Lower lenses are marked 5 and 7. All appears to be in good functional use to my untrained eye, but it would need a proper cleaning to remove the dust specks from the lenses. Even as a display piece it is simply stunning. Measures Approx: 14" tall at full height down to 11” Base is 4" x 5 1/2" Please Feel Free To Ask Questions Especially Before Bidding.

Please be patient there are 10 photos to be loaded in this auction. This auction is for an antique cast iron and brass microscope. This is a fairly ... moresimple construction. A small mirror to provide light and a single tube for the body. The adjustment is not a turning knob, but a small post to slide the tube up and down. The base and platform are made of cast iron, with the finer tube construction being brass. The only mark we found was'France. The cast iron has some oxidation and the mirror has some dark spots on it. There are a three small openings on the tube to the right of the support post that might mean that there is something missing; we don't know. This stands approx. 7.75" tall by 2.5" by 3. This is a great early piece! Good Luck! Estimated shipping weight. packaged) is 2 lbs 8 oz in a 12 x 10 x 10 box. This is as found from a family estate. The optics are intact. But are dusty from storage. The brass is not polished, it is as found. The base is CAST IRON. The lens holder has thumb screws to tighten the samples in place. The only information I find is one of the sample arms says MADE IN GERMANY. The optics are INTACT. As I can see the RED GREEN AND BLUE PIXELS on my computer screen PERFECTLY! Optics are dusty. Honestly, I am amazed at clarity. It is amazing! The brass optics slide and adjust for focusing. The reflector is intact. It needs a new home! I will ship this item FREE FREIGHT IN THE USA.
An antique"Argus Nr. 606" Brass Microscope. 6 3/4" high, made in Germany and housed in its original wood box, 2 3/4" x 8 9/16" x 2 1/2" high, with original hook closures. There's a paper label inside the box with some information but I don't see any maker's mark on the Microscope. GERMANY" is impressed into the 2" diameter iron base. The top section can be adjusted up and down and can also be removed from the bottom section. Condition. In good condition overall. I didn't polish the brass but left it as found. The surface of the adjustable mirror is in good condition with some oxidation across the middle section that doesn't seem to interfere with reflecting light into the Microscope. The top and bottom glass lenses are in good condition with no scratches. There is an old short closed ... morecrack in the bottom section of the brass band above the section that holds the slide that can be seen in one of the side view photos of the Microscope(as the Microscope front faces to the right) This part doesn't hold the top section in place so it doesn't affect the use of the Microscope in any way. There are NO slides with this Microscope although there is space for 4 slides in the box. Shipping weight of carefully wrapped package. 3 pounds Buyer pays shipping. I usually ship the day after I receive the email from PayPal confirming your payment to PayPal. If I receive the confirmation email from PayPal on a Friday or a weekend I ship the following Monday. I don't know much about this microscope. It is a Spencer buffalo. It has 10x. 6x eye pieces. 1.8, 4, 16 MM objectives. SN 39826. I tried to take enough pics so you could see the condition of everything. As far as I can tell everything is in good working condition except for as you can see in the pics, the upper shutter type thing on the condenser is rusty. It comes in the original wood case. I don't have the key for it.
Swift& Son London Antique Microscope Lamp* A heavy. Antique lamp with glass oil container and wick used to illuminate microscopy. It appears to be brass, but may be brass on iron. Swift& Son London is marked on the base. Components unscrew as shown in the third picture(will be posted disassembled with each component individually wrapped in a solid box to avoid any damage) As shown there is significant aging/ spotting/ scuffing to the brass/ metal– in my opinion. This gives it an interesting antique look(but that depends on your preference) Not sure if it is complete. Only includes items shown. Makes for a very neat presentation piece. Happy to ship outside the UK. Canada, and US, but please contact me beforehand to obtain a quote and confirm I can ship to your location. I reserve the right to refuse sale to any bidder that has poor ... moreor limited feedback so please check if such is the case prior to bidding. Will be shipped with tracking and via air. And fully declared for customs(no exceptions) I do not intend to profit from shipping(only actual cost) The item is very large and heavy so I have been conservative with the shipping cost. If I can ship for less. I will refund to you the difference. Again. I only charge the actual shipping cost. Thanks for looking and kind regards!

This microscope is brass& iron comes with wooden box. It measures 8 1/2" tall down and 9 1/2" high extended. The base measures 4" by 2 3/4" I think the scope part is brass as a magnet will not stick but it does show some finish loss. The base is iron with a gold finish. It seems to work but the lens needs cleaning. The only markings are a number 160 on the back of the brass knob. I think this is French but not sure.
This is what appears to be an old cast iron framed microscope that may have been a toy although it works and will magnify objects. The lenses are clear. All parts move normally. See additional condition description above. It would make a neat display for a collection. It is marked USA on the underside of the base. The missing parts may be possible to find or make. 336.RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fvo%7B%3Dd70f%2B%3E336-144af65b96b-0x113-

Cast iron microscope 7" tall in handcrafted. Velvet lined wooden box( box has some scratches, and dings, good shape for it's age. May be older than the microscope. This item was found in my grandfathers attic. I have no idea of its worth, the plate that goes on the front of it had come off and the only markings on it are in the cast iron( Germany 1369) Lens has crack around the edge of it. No key for the wooden box. I am starting the bid at what I assume the worth of this item may be. If you have any information on this item I would appreciate an email. Here is a great antique French microscope with original box in much better than average condition. Measures 8 1/2 inches in when retracted. Made of brass and cast iron. Original gold paint on base. Optics are clear. Reflector is foggy. Brass has nearly all of the original lacquer on it. Knob retracts it fine and the top lense is removable. Box is in fine condition, beautiful wood, missing one wood spacer as shown. All seams tight. Box has a name I am guess was the original owner and what looks like a retailer stamp on the bottom. Box measures 9 1/2 by 4 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. Superb example of a mid 19th Century Microscope. Guranteed original for ever. Thanks for looking. Payment to be remitted within 4 days.

First let me be clear that even though this is probably the most beautiful microscope I have ever seen it does have two issues. 1- The eye piece is missing 2- the Brass lifting rack and pinion is worn and slips. It does work but in some spots needs some help lifting. Other than that this piece looks like it came out of an old movie. It's beautiful:RcmdId ViewItemDescV4,RlogId p4%60bo7%60jtb9%3Fuk.rp73%28e013%3F%3E%3A-14a2f8bfb56-0x107-

You are bidding on a Bausch& Lomb Cast-Iron-and-Brass ANTIQUE MICROSCOPE c.1920s or Earlier* 75X and 322X Magnifications The photos included above WERE taken through this microscope. I purchased this from a lady in Westerly. RI, who told me it had belonged to her great uncle, who used it when he was a chemist back in the 1920s. My guess is it may be a 1915 model. What's Included in This Auction: Bausch& Lomb Microscope consisting of. 1 ocular: 7.5x- 2 objective lenses: 4mm(43x) and 16mm(10x) Coarse and fine focus knobs- 2-sided mirror- Iris diaphragm" Stage clips Q: Is anything else included with this auction? A: Only what appears in the photos is included. NO CASE. NO EXTRA LENSES. NADA. Condition Details- PLEASE READ! The microscope itself is tested and in fully-operational condition. I find nothing broken. Jammed, or"questionable. ... moreThe black enamel, as well as all the brass parts, have a"timeworn patina. Very nice. But this is NOT the shiny specimen some people might want for a museum. The iris is fully working. But very dusty. See photo. It simply needs to be removed from the microscope and properly cleaned. The stage clips have a lot of surface oxidation. And one of the original nuts has gone missing. See photo: As you see, I'll send you the one remaining stage clip nut, but there are 2 replacement nuts as well. They're metric- M3(5) knurled nuts, and they aren't the same shape as the originals, but they DO work. PLEASE supersize and examine all photos for carefully for condition detail. Important! RETURN POLICY and Shipping Loss/Damage I work hard to maintain Top-Rated eBay Seller status and 100% positive customer feedback by: a) offering quality vintage merchandise with honest descriptions.
