Here we have an antique scientific device from Milvay Scientific Instruments and Chicago Apparatus Co. I'm not sure what this device is used for even after some time of trying to figure it out. I've decided to part ways with it from my collection. From what I can see the glass cylinder looks to have housed some type of fluid that would cause for this to act as a battery and create an electrical charge that could be manipulated with the wand. This is all simply a hypothesis of mine and if you do know what it is for I would love to know. Shipping for this will be on the expensive side as it is obviously fragile and will most likely require multiple boxes and be shipped in pieces. As you can see from the photos it seems that the"wand" is missing it's handle. Also there is a crack in the glass cylinder and the piece is held ... morewith tape.
