Super rare Bausch & Lomb The Model Universal Monocular Microscope. Based on serial number look up, this unit with serial number ‘8919’ (stamped on the ... moreinside lower baseboard of the wood case) is dated between 1890-91 (Thanks to Paul to call out my mistake on manufacturing date). All optics and the body are very clean and considered excellent for an 100+ years old microscope. Wood carrying case is in fine condition with the original hardware and key although missing screws in one side to not keep the handle in place as pictured. Two eyepieces and three lenses are all original. I acquired this set from someone who claimed this was received as a gift from the original owner (a doctor resided in Portland, OR).

You are bidding on an old. Victorian like, antique brass and glass miniature field microscope with fitted box. Microscope seems to be in good working ... moreorder. Retains its original finish. Nice uncleaned example. Glass is not broken and does move with the thumbscrew. Top of microscope expands up and down freely. Microscope has no maker identification on it, nor the box. I have seen other field microscopes similar that were made by"The Harvey Lewis Co. and other that were made in Germany. I am not sure if this one is either. There is a date inscribed on the inside of the box. 7/30/25. With the initials J.J.H. Also included is 1 prepared glass slide and 1 tweezer. The box has two clasps that hold it closed. There is a crack through the bottom side of the box. But it does affect the integrity. Microscope measures: expanded) 7 1/8" x 1 7/8 at the base Wood box measures: 7" X 2 3/4" X 2 1/8" Take home this great piece of early history. Will pack carefully. Shipping through USPS Priority Mail. BUYER TO PAY SHIPPING.I DO NOT SHIP INTERNATIONALLY.GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY BIDDING! PLEASE NOTE: I WILL ONLY LEAVE FEEDBACK ONCE IT IS RECEIVED ON MY END FIRST. Very good condition. A very good starting price! Let's see where it ends. I want to clear out the rest of my slides this weekend. Large lot for 1 money. I am a old school wholesaler dealer and scour GA and New England for the best to buy for my customers. I am also the founder of WorthPoint and would encourage all to visit it if you want to research antique prices.I focus on happy repeat customers and love what I do and try to ensure all customers are happy. I do not stay glued to my computer and have a real job so please do not expect instantaneous answers. Consider your source when buying. I have sold over 11.000 items on eBay and have 99.9% positive feedback. I charge GA sales tax to GA residents. I specialize in paper. Photos, coins and militaria. I sell about anything except reproductions. If it is not old, I say so. If there is ... morea defect, I also say so. If you know more than me about something, that is OK, as I do not mind learning or being told that I am wrong and strive for accuracy. You can always learn more in this business. If I make a mistake, and we all do, I will take responsibility for it and you can return the item. If buying internationally. Email me for final postage if you are the winner. eBay's quoted postage tends to be too high for a 1st class envelope. Also I make a full decloration of sales value, thus please do not ask or expect otherwise.

Swift & Son London - Antique Microscope Oil Lamp - Brass / Iron
Swift& Son London Antique Microscope Lamp* A heavy. Antique lamp with glass oil container and wick used to illuminate microscopy. It appears to be brass, but may be brass on iron. Swift& Son London is marked on the base. Components unscrew as shown in the third picture(will be posted disassembled with each component individually wrapped in a solid box to avoid any damage) As shown there is significant aging/ spotting/ scuffing to the brass/ metal– in my opinion. This gives it an interesting antique look(but that depends on your preference) Not sure if it is complete. Only includes items shown. Makes for a very neat presentation piece. Antique Brass French Microscope c. 1880 C. Verick #3434, for Display, Home Decor
This is a nice. Yet incomplete example of one of Constant Verick’s microscopes from the late 1800’s, serial number 3434. C. Verick advertised himself as a élève spécial de E. Hartnack(special pupil of E. Hartnack) both in the signatures he used for some of his instruments and in his catalogs. By the mid 1870's he established his own firm where a number of different microscope models were produced, among which is the continental style model presented herein. In 1882, he was succeeded by his son-in-law Maurice Stiassnie. The base of this microscope is inscribed with“ C. Verick. Élève spécial de E. Hartnack rue de la Parcheminerie. 2, Paris” It comes with a box of lenses, but unfortunately, this microscope lacks the sub-stage aperture stop holder and more importantly its mirror. Without which it can't function. ... moreBut. It would still make a nice accent piece as home décor, or perhaps for an enthusiast that wishes to repair it. Please feel free to contact me with any questions prior to bidding. Please check out my other listings. As I have a lot of other nifty items for sale.some unusual, some vintage, ALL of them interesting! Happy Bidding! xx
