I am not sure if this one is either. There is a date inscribed on the inside of the box. 7/30/25. With the initials J.J.H. Also included is 1 prepared glass slide and 1 tweezer. The box has two clasps that hold it closed. There is a crack through the bottom side of the box. But it does affect the integrity. It does seem like parts maybe missing. The stand seems backwards, but maybe turns around. One lens says16mm the other 10x. Serial number is faint but seems to read 66734 which I believe places the date of this scope to about 1907. NO RESERVE.This is an ANTIQUE circa 1800s Brass Microscope.It is a LARGE microscope being 19 inches tall when all the way up.It has Patent dates on the body for 1876 and 1885.I am not positive who the maker is. But it looks very much like a Bausch& Lomb Professional Model I found on antique microscope websites though the brass lens cases also say Powell& Lealand.It also includes many accessories shown in photos of eyepieces, and metal slides that can be inserted in slots on the mechanism lenses under the table.The glass lens all seem to be in good condition.The mirror has some edge crazing.NO box.Overall still an nice unusual antique microscope that certainly is not a standard scope.Buyer Pays Shipping. I am not an expert on microscopes but here is what I can tell you: stands 12.5" tall(without the eye piece on the top) The mirror does have discoloration and needs polishing? the top wheels work and move the scope up and down but not quite sure what the back wheel is actually for, cast iron bottom, and all I could not find is number 74 on the back. Vintage Graf Apsco Brass & Cast binocular Microscope Great Condition.
Nice Graf Apsco binocular microscope. It has 4 objective lenses. And 2 wide field 10x eyepieces. It had a lamp attachment that is broken off, but either a standard microscope light or mirror will work, or someone might be able to repair it. The finish is in great shape, and it functions like it should. The focus' and the slide movements are smooth and tight.

Its serial number is 61632 and I believe that may date it to 1890. The over dimension are 12" x4" x 5.5" closed. As you can see it is missing a condenser and a mirror. Antique Brass Field Pocket Microscope Eyepiece Magnifying Glass Etc
Here is a lot of antique scientific field instruments. I'm not exactly sure what they were all used for. There is one that is a pocket brass microscope for looking at slides. The other brass piece looks to be for the eyepiece of an early field microscope. Then there is another metal piece with tripod legs that I think was for using a magnifying lens. But the lens is not there. Then there is a little magnifying glass with clip for attaching to table and last is a little glass cup that has some a little magnifying lens on the end of it. Interesting lot, brass pieces measure approx. 1 13/16" in length.

The 2 scopes appear to be in very good condition with no damage to glass and clear optics and they twist and revolve around center platform. I believe it's missing prisms in the center portion. Instrument is very heavy at about 13 pounds. In good cosmetic condition overall with some wear to center platform. Circa late 1800's. 19th C WATSON & SON BRASS MICROSCOPE WITH PRESENTATION TO REV GEO REID 1886
This is a rare 19th century brass microscope signed by maker with known owner. The microscope is completely original and all the gears and adjustments are in working order. There is a picture of numerous accessories including ocular lenses. The microscope is signed Watson& Son 313 High Holborn London with#1381. This is a rare model called'Watson Arts' first made in August 1886. I have not been able to find another that sold. It has a fantastic presentation plaque attached that states"Presented to Rev Geo Reid by his sincere friends on leaving the Kidderminster Circuit. August 1886" You can see the fantastic scrip on the plaque. The pine case is all original with great moldings, wrought iron holder and a door inside with a compartment. The hinges are intact as are the 2 clips to hold the door closed. The case measures ... more18x8x8 and is great by itself. The microscope and case weigh 14 pounds. The Reverend George Reid was the Minister from 1823 to 1862 of United Presbyterian Kirk. Westray. He then left to do the Methodist Circuit known as the Kidderminster Circuit. Although the microscope is rare, having the presentation plaque makes it unique as you know the owner and it was given the month it was produced. W AND S JONES BRASS SOLAR MICROSCOPE. CIRCA 1792- 1800 Williams and Samuel Jones brass solar projection microscope. A projection microscope was often used for entertainment to project an image onto a wall for a large group. Often a group would gather on a Sunday afternoon for a"slide" show. The projection system- usually a"Solar Microscope" This instrument was usually mounted in a hole in a window shutter of a house or building to capture the sunlight of the sun. When in use the specimen is placed beyond the focus of the lens. Since the object cannot emit light itself it is illuminated from behind. Outside the building the mirror reflects sunlight to a condenser; the light rays pass through the condenser and specimen. Enter the lens and are refracted forming an image in the plane of the lens. The image is real, enlarged, ... morelaterally reversed and inverted. Since the image is projected across a room, a lens of longer focal length is used. The use of the solar microscope depended upon the sun, the light source. The inventor of the solar microscope is not really known exactly but credit probably goes to Fahrenheit probably before 1736. Lieberkuhn is responsible for bringing the innovation to England in 1740, demonstrating his reflecting mirror and solar microscope to the Royal Society Members. He did not claim to be the inventor. The origin of the solar microscope dates back to the camera obscura of the 16th century. It used a lens in a shutter or other aperture of a darkened room to project a greatly magnified outdoor image on an opposite wall inside the building. Later Cuff and Martin made their own versions of the solar microscope were used to project opaque objects. This solar microscope is lacquered brass, rackworth focus on the tube, a square brass plate with two(2) drilled holes for mounting onto a wall. 1860's Henry Crouch Microscope Objective (Lens) & Brass Lens Cannister
This is an antique brass Henry Crouch microscope lens(objective) in a lovely brass cannister with old-style script writing on the top and numerals on the bottom. The lens fits perfectly inside the brass case and I am told it dates to possibly the 1860's. 1in- H. Crouch London" is engraved on the lid of the cylindrical case. On the bottom of the case is engraved a number 1 over number 5. The lens is approximately 3/4" in diameter at the threads. Length is approximately 1 11/16" from end to end. The case is approximately 1 9/16" high and the diameter is 1 1/8" The brass cap is threaded and fits nicely. I ship promptly and pack carefully. Happy to answer any questions you may have.

The black portion of the microscope and the base are made of some other type of metal. There are 6x, 8x, and 10x eye lenses included. The serial number of this microscope is#5030 which seems to be extremely low which would make the production early. It is marked with a patent date of“Dec. 11, 1900” The mirror at the bottom is two sided. It measures 12 ¼” tall x 6” x 4 ¼” It comes in the original wooden case with brass accessories as shown. Approximately 11 in. tall when turned all the way down. 4-1/4 in. wide, and 5-3/4 in. deep. Very Good condition, light wear, see also pictures. There are no breaks, chips, or cracks. Wooden case has some wear, and a crack in back. This microscope is marked Bausch + Lomb on the base. The serial number is 22885. It has a mirror for lighting. And the part that swings out(below the object stage) also has a light blue glass piece that one can move in or out of the path of light. It has a revolving turret for 3 lenses and comes with four different B+L objective lenses, each one in its matching brass container. They are marked: 1/12, 1/6, 2/3, ... moreand 8mm. There also are 3 eyepiece lenses, one marked B+L 12.5, the other faintly on the side B+L 1 in. the other has marks but they are too faint to make out, perhaps B+L 2 in. Also there is a copper? metal container with an old glass bottle for immersion oil inside. The wooden case comes with a key and the lock works. A small drawer is located at the top of the case. This was a working microscope back in the day and was used as you can tell. All the main parts seem to work fine, but it will need a good cleaning etc. What a great old piece! Wow! Very old microscope with brass finish, attractive piece!!!
This auction is for one of my more favored items. Which is an old microscope with the name"E Gundlach" on the middle section. It is about 12 inches tall and has a brass finish, though I'm not sure it is made of brass for the most part.Pretty nice shape, as far as I can tell. The finish is nice, with no dents or discoloration. I think there are a few open threads on top where another eyepiece may go, though there seems to be at least two lenses present-one for either end- though I don't know anything about microscopes, though telescopes are a different matter. Anyhow, this piece would look great in a den or library. It is pretty heavy, which you couldn't tell from its size. That's it, thanks for supporting my honest auction.

E. Leitz Weizlar antique German microscope No 129854 in wooden box 1930 brass
This E. Leitz Weizlar Microscope circa 1930 is# 129854 It comes in the original wooden box with all the accessories included. As indicated by all the slots filled in the box. Box is lined with purple velvet in good condition. Original leather covering on wooden box has deteriorated and is flaking off. Wood and metal corners are in tact. Could have leather replaced. Appears to lock, but no key is included. Original brass Shows signs of age with some rust 1/12. 3 and 6 engraved on the cases for the lenses 2 eye pieces included Mirror appears to be in good condition without scratches. I believe this was used by my father-in-law at Medical School at the University of Nebraska. It's been stored all these years. Needs some airing out.

Antique Bausch and Lomb Brass Continental Microscope With Box Extras 1903
Bausch and Lomb continental microscope circa 1903. This has a fully adjustable slide manipulator. There is wear to the plating on the manipulator. There is an adjustment knob broken off the the side on the manipulator. It is present though. The large dial on top of the main shaft is loose and not connected to anything. It currently does not adjust anything. The lever to tilt the microscope is stuck. I did not want to force it and risk breaking the handle. All other knobs and adjustments appear to be working. This has three eye pieces; 7.5. 1 and 2. There are three objectives; 2/3. 1/6 and 1/12. All three have brass storage containers. The mirror is plano and concave. The box is locked and the latch has been pulled out of the door. The only damage is the screw holes are stripped. There are many photos. Circa 1800's. ... moreThe body of the microscope is engraved with the maker's name, Powell& Lealand, London. We are not experts on antique microscopes but we will describe this as best as we can. This has a great brass body with the patina of many years of handling. It comes with an iron stand that has an adjustable table that uses a joystick type handle to position the platform. There are many places where this is adjustable. Or threaded areas to attach different lenses, etc. very complex construction for a time when transportation was by horse or possibly early steam engine railroad locomotive. We have not seen a date on it anywhere, but with photos available online, we estimate this as being from 1843-1848, a similar model identified on the Golub Collection website. The body with this unit is not attached to the stand at this time. You can see mounting holes on the stand and on the tube, which measures approx. 9¾" long with a lens in place. The stand stands approx. 12⅝ tall without the body in it, the platform measures approx 6" by 3¾" One of the mounting holes on the stand is compromised due to a bit of the metal being knocked away, but there

This auction is for a well preserved Bausch& Lomb brass and black painted iron microscope. It has a few small marks and imperfections. But it is in generally shiny and new condition. It has the choice of two objectives and two different eyepieces. There is a blue glass piece and an extra set of slide holders. They come in a fitted box with a small plastic cover for the microscope. The top is marked with a patent date from 1915, but I don't know it's exact age It weighs about 17 lbs. so keep shipping charges in mind when bidding! Low minimum bid, no reserve auction!

Has three lens head, one is marked Bausch& Lomb, another marked SPI? PSI? This one has an electric lamp fixture, side mounted. Including electric power corded transformer and plugs. NOTE the Transformator made in Germany has bad cord. Cord has cracked and dry rotted from storage. This would need replaced. NOT TESTED. Item is SOLD AS IS, AS FOUND. All the knobs and dials are free and smooth moving. I used a flashlight and can see some light thru the lens at top. Marked C 12.5x. 1840 Brass Cylindrical Insectoscope
1840 BRASS CYLINDRICAL INSECTOSCOPE An unusual brass cylindrical"insectoscope" This little instrument consists of a brass cylinder case that measures 2 inches in height and 1 inch in diameter. The actual"livebox" magnifier unscrews from the brass case and slides out. The wall of the livebox has 2 small viewing windows for observation that measure about 1 inch in length and about 5/8 inches in height. The bottom of the livebox has a plastic-like floor to view the insects or objects by inverting the livebox upright. And this floor can be unscrewed from the brass livebox. At the top of the livebox is the actual eyepiece-magnifier lens, which can also be unscrewed. The magnification is excellent! The lacquered brass finish is in good condition. The wood box is 6 3/4 inches long x 2 7/8 inches wide x 2 1/2 inches tall. It has brass latches. The number 84 is written on inside of lid. The microscope has an adjustable mirror to focus the light. It is 6 1/4 inches unextended and fully extended is close to 8 inches. There are no slides with the microscope. So we can't tell if it actually works properly. We can see light through the opening when the mirror is adjusted and magnification seems to increase as it extends. It marked Made in France on the side. 1. The scopes and their plate are brass. I believe underneath the black paint is aluminum along with the connector(Shown in pictures) There is some newspaper stuck to places of the black paint. Description Here is a nice 19th century brass microscope with its original wooden box in good original working condition. The brass surface has a nice patina from age and the lenses are all in good condition. The mirror has some wear and dust to the back of it and still works well when reflecting light into the lens. The lens focuses nicely by slowly twisting it in an upward or downward position. The original wooden box is in good condition with two brass catches on the front. It seems to resemble some antique examples of spectrometers from the 19th century and was told it may be victorian era optical lab equipment. Beautiful example of complicated antique mechanical optical labratory equipment piece. Two solid brass scopes. One with fixed eyepiece,len's at both ends with at least 3 take down pieces and mounted infront of some calibrations alined with this scope-a work bed(glass,cast iron,steel) thats moved by a large metal knob,and the other scope which follows directly in line with main scope but is seperated by 4 inches that the bed takes up. one end shows full sized lens and rear shows lens on chrome tube that slides/adjusts inside the brass tube. Its end shows a lens behind a slotted sleeve that adjust vertically ... morein front of the lens via a set screw,the slotted sleeve has a spring so back and forth adjustment is allowed with the set screw. Nothing is broken and nothing appears damaged as all things seems to work and adjust. the surfaces are all very pristine considering the age. Just no abuse or misuse showing(at least any obvious misuse troubles)No Dents. Measurements; stands about 16 inches.
