early antique microscope from the 1800s. No markings.This works. Lens look to be in good condition with no cracks. Or fungus. Set of three stacking nosepiece lens.Neat adjustable stage that looks to be bronze.The eyetube adjusts up and down with out a screw adjustment. It never had one. 10+1/2 inches high.3 inch dia base.I tried to research this but only found similar. Mirrors on french microscopes made by Secretan.But that may not mean anything.needs polished and cleaned.The one sided mirror looks original and. It not perfect. There are many tiny pin sized spots that you can see up close.There is the an old solder joint on the bottom of the stem. The company started using the name A. S. Aloe& Company in 1885 but I have no way of knowing when the microscope was actually made. It appears to be turn of the century and all brass as far as I can tell. The microscope and two of the lens cases are imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS. But there is no serial number. Hopefully the photographs will help to date this item. The wooden case was made to house three lens cases but along the way someone crafted a second housing that holds two additional lens cases. see photo#7) The rest of the case pieces appear to be all original. There are two eyepieces- a one-inch and a two-inch. There are five brass lens cases as ... morefollows: 1) One brass case imprinted A. S. ALOE- CO ST. LOUIS and the designation TUBE LENGTH 140 1/6. 3) One brass case with no imprint at all- possibly to house a third lens if the owner ever bought one. 4) One brass case imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO ROCHESTER N.Y. NEW YORK CITY and the designation 1/12. The lens is also imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO and the designation OIL IMM. 1/12 1.30 N.A. TUBE LENGTH 160.0 MM. 5) One brass case imprinted BAUSCH& LOMB OPTICAL CO ROCHESTER N.Y. NEW YORK CITY and the designation IMMERSION OIL. The bottle is still about 1/3 full of the oil! I believe that the handcrafted two-lens housing was made to house the oil immersion lens case and the immersion oil case. Came with the original box with same serial number the finder on top is a 12x marked Ernest Leitz Wetzlar. At the bottom in crome are 3 magnification also marked Ernst leitz Wetzlar. This lot includes an incredibly cool unopened bottle of deadstock tattoo ink(recommended only for display) a small primitive/traditional Japanese hammer with some sort of Asian inscription and writing on the handle and lastly a pre-electric primitive needle gun. I bought all of these peices together so, I am selling them together. The hammer and needle are essentially the pre-electric version of the modern tattoo gun which is referred to as'stick& poke' or'tap and poke' This method is traditionally still used today by some eastern cultures and traditional tattoo enthusiasts. This is a beautiful and very rare Hammond Dental Furnace Patented from Dec 3rd 1901 to Feb 10th 1903 by SS White Dental Mfg. Co. Its power rating is 52 volts@ 6 amps with a settings range from 1 to 7 for heat. The furnace has been well cared for. The furnace features solid brass. Slate, ceramic, and porcelain pieces. All 4 porcelain feet are intact and the furnace chamber has no cracks or stress fractures in the ceramic. There is a small chip on the edge of the slate top(see closeup) It is a marvelous conversation piece. The furnace does come apart and the furnace chamber is able to be removed. Thank you!

Beautiful old antique Stereoptican/Sciopticon( made by McIntosh Battery and Optical of Chicago. Not sure if this is a scientific instrument or a"Magic Lantern" type piece but has been kept in great condition. The brass lens was made by Darlot of Paris.The front of the piece is beautifully decorated and has impressive silver legs to raise and lower the front. Has a fabulous cloth cord about 18 ft long,the interior lightbulb is mounted on a board,not sure if that is original. Please view the photos,I have no clue what I am selling,I did find a copy of an old 1890's catalog by the McIntosh Company and in photos it appears there might have been another piece on top of this.The case is quite worn,the top leather strap broken. This auction is for a Antique Carl Zeiss Jena Microscope. Germany, No. 232159 in Lock Box w/ Key and acc. This microscope was manufactured before 1930. It comes in the original wooden lock box with the original key and the lock does work. The microscope bolts inside the box so it doesn't slide around when carried. There are two sliding drawers inside the box; one has 3 empty canisters in it the other has, what appear to be, 2 extra attachments for the microscope. This piece is in excellent condition for its age. Has some scuffing and scratches and the wooden box is scratched up as well(it also has tape on the top that I can't get to come off, but maybe you can) Please see photos for exact condition.
