The black portion of the microscope and the base are made of some other type of metal. There are 6x, 8x, and 10x eye lenses included. The serial number of this microscope is#5030 which seems to be extremely low which would make the production early. It is marked with a patent date of“Dec. 11, 1900” The mirror at the bottom is two sided. It measures 12 ¼” tall x 6” x 4 ¼” It comes in the original wooden case with brass accessories as shown. This is an antique hand cranked centrifuge. Patented by F. F. Metzger in 1895 and made by Williams, Browne& Earle of Philadelphia. It is of black painted cast iron and measures 14 inches high. It clamps to a table or bench and has two interchangeable arms, one for test tubes, the other for small glass vials. It comes in it's original fitted wood case with a number of accessories. It appears to be little used and there is still some old tissue paper which may have been for wrapping.

Approximately 11 in. tall when turned all the way down. 4-1/4 in. wide, and 5-3/4 in. deep. Very Good condition, light wear, see also pictures. There are no breaks, chips, or cracks. Wooden case has some wear, and a crack in back. This microscope is marked Bausch + Lomb on the base. The serial number is 22885. It has a mirror for lighting. And the part that swings out(below the object stage) also has a light blue glass piece that one can move in or out of the path of light. It has a revolving turret for 3 lenses and comes with four different B+L objective lenses, each one in its matching brass container. They are marked: 1/12, 1/6, 2/3, ... moreand 8mm. There also are 3 eyepiece lenses, one marked B+L 12.5, the other faintly on the side B+L 1 in. the other has marks but they are too faint to make out, perhaps B+L 2 in. Also there is a copper? metal container with an old glass bottle for immersion oil inside. The wooden case comes with a key and the lock works. A small drawer is located at the top of the case. This was a working microscope back in the day and was used as you can tell. All the main parts seem to work fine, but it will need a good cleaning etc. What a great old piece! Wow! The microscope scope and the lens and objective case and dials are made of brass. There is some corrosion to the brass and painted surfaces in places. The black painted part of the microscope stand is some sort of other metal. The eye lenses have 2. 3, 4, 5 and 6x on them. Another large metal piece that goes down by the mirror on the bottom as well. There are no dates noted on the microscope or accessories. The serial number of 38040 is on the microscope would make it as having been produced around? The mirror at the bottom of the scope is two sided. ... moreNot cracked or blistered, but the mirrored surface does show some wear. The glass for the lens and objective are dusty and may have some minor scratching. I see no blistered cracked or missing glass in the lenses or objectives. The microscope is 12" tall. By 4-3/8" across, by 6.5" wide. Nice what appears to be the original wood case. The wood case is intact, still has its' lock, and the key that works it. There is a slide drawer holding all the eye lenses and then a drawer on the right side that has nothing in it but holes to hold some accessories. The objectives are a 1/12. A 7mm and a?mm. Here is a wonderful old microscope. More complicated than many we have seen. It is not tested but all knobs seem to be working smoothly, all moving parts are functioning correctly. It is as found, not cleaned up. Measures 12" tall. Some minor wear, we see a little oxidation in areas, case needs cleaning up. The mirror glass is in good condition, there are a few things inside the case- slides, a mostly full box of Gillette Blue Blades, a mostly empty box of Gold Seal Cover Glasses, a small glass tube, a mostly if not totally full bottle of Immersion Oil from Spencer Lens Company, and the original key is included and the locking mechanism is working. On the other side are three more lenses and a box with a sliding lid that has two mostly empty lens cover boxes. Case measures about 14" tall and 7 14" square, some damage to the ... morecase. Antique Bausch and Lomb Brass Continental Microscope With Box Extras 1903
Bausch and Lomb continental microscope circa 1903. This has a fully adjustable slide manipulator. There is wear to the plating on the manipulator. There is an adjustment knob broken off the the side on the manipulator. It is present though. The large dial on top of the main shaft is loose and not connected to anything. It currently does not adjust anything. The lever to tilt the microscope is stuck. I did not want to force it and risk breaking the handle. All other knobs and adjustments appear to be working. This has three eye pieces; 7.5. 1 and 2. There are three objectives; 2/3. 1/6 and 1/12. All three have brass storage containers. The mirror is plano and concave. This auction is for a well preserved Bausch& Lomb brass and black painted iron microscope. It has a few small marks and imperfections. But it is in generally shiny and new condition. It has the choice of two objectives and two different eyepieces. There is a blue glass piece and an extra set of slide holders. They come in a fitted box with a small plastic cover for the microscope. The top is marked with a patent date from 1915, but I don't know it's exact age It weighs about 17 lbs. so keep shipping charges in mind when bidding! Low minimum bid, no reserve auction!

Bausch& Lomb Opt Co antique clockwork motor possibly for a telescope or transit. 12 inches high. 7 inches across at widest. Very nice condition! I honestly don't know what this is for. It is running as is. Though may need a cleaning or lubrication to make it work properly. There are two key wound springs(no key included) that turn a motor very slowly. The motor is attached to a platform that has three adjustable clamps on it, one of which is slightly bent. There is a button that turns it on and off. It says"Bauch& Lomb Opt Co, Rochester NY USA No 94390. I've tried to look it up to no avail. It may be astronomy related to put on a telescope to track the sky. Perhaps it is photography related to keep a camera trained on the sky? The base has three feet and there are two adjustable positioning knobs it looks like to secure ... moreto a rod. I know little about this scientific equipment. Stored in a local home for years. I would say circa 1930s era. Maybe earlier with later fixtures. No. 282859, Germany, Overall height is 12.5 inches. Has three lens head, one is marked Bausch& Lomb, another marked SPI? PSI? This one has an electric lamp fixture, side mounted. Including electric power corded transformer and plugs. NOTE the Transformator made in Germany has bad cord. Cord has cracked and dry rotted from storage. This would need replaced. NOT TESTED. Item is SOLD AS IS, AS FOUND. All the knobs and dials are free and smooth moving. I used a flashlight and can see some light thru the lens at top. Marked C 12.5x. The square slide platform has an adjustment piece No. 48907, triple lens mount is marked 25155. I assume this will need a good cleaning, oil perhaps. May need some restoration or parts

Recently picked it up at an auction. Would make a great gift or keep it for yourself! The microscope case is made of some metal with a gold colored lacquer on it. There is some loss of finish to the microscope case. The lens are in both ends of the microscope and inside of the cylinder. Cannot speak to their condition. Other than I see no cracks or blistering. There are no dates noted on the microscope or wood case. The maker's mark is noted faintly on the inside of the top cover of the wood case. Looks to be something like Bendreik& Son and Germany below that. Cannot read the last line of the writing on the lowest part of the oval. And when I wiped ... moreit. It appears that most of the ink impression came off, so the scope's maker is to be a mystery forever, oiy! The mirror at the bottom of the scope is one sided. Not cracked or blistered, but the mirrored surface does show some wear. The glass for the lens and objective are dusty and may have some minor scratching. I see no blistered cracked or missing glass in the lenses or objectives. The microscope is 8.5" tall. By 2.75" across. Nice what appears to be the original wood case. The wood case is intact, still has one of the latches and eye screws, the other ones is not there. There is a little shelf inside the case, not sure what it was for. There is also a wood cradle inside of the case to hold the neck of the microscope in the center of the case. The case is 9.25" long, by 3" tall,by 3.25" wide. Late 1800's to the early 1900's antique hand blown triple neck lab glassware flask in excellent condition. The flask was lightly used and has some minor burrs around the inside edge of the 2 outer top necks and a few small chips on the inner edge of the bottom neck. None of these would effect it's use. There is no other damage. Cracks or chips on the flask. There is much uneven blobby glass with tool marks and bubbles around these applied necks as well as many bubbles and tool marks around the flask with a pontil mark on bottom surrounded by rough glass as per hand manufacture. I am reluctantly having to get rid of this microscope slide due to reasons out of my control. Here we have an extremely morbid cross section of a Human baby finger. This microscope slide dates to the early 1900s as it comes from the personal microscope slides collection of A.B. Streedain. Alpheus B. Streedain who served in the US Army as an"Anatomical Artist" according to the 1920 President's Report. He was assigned as artist and photographer to U.S.A. Base Hospital No. 13 in Limoges, France. Alpheus B. Streedain was a fairly famous anatomical artist who spent a great part of his career at the University of Chicago however he also had several brief stints at other Universities. A lot of this information can be gleaned by searching for his name. You will come across several works of his and his name is widespread throughout biology ... moreand anatomy textbooks due to his great contributions in these fields. Antique Mahogany Lab Microscope Slide Storage Case Box Equipment Jewelry Science
This is one of the most unique items I've ever come across in my business as an estate liquidator. This is a solid mahogany lab case which would've been used back in the very early 1900's. Based on some of the design elements it appears that this case would have been used to store slides for a microscope. But. It is so well made and so functional that today it can be used to hold anything- money, jewelry, valuables; just about anything. The lid flips open to reveal a top storage area- the divider lifts out. Then there's a hatch that runs about 2/3 up the right side- open the hatch to reveal a nice little storage area. When the hatch is open you can then swing out 4 small drawers/ storage compartments. These compartments will only swing out when the hatch is open.
