Up for sale is an antique German Wooden Sock Darner. I had a friend of my daughter's who is German translate the carving. She said it reads: When naughty boys are trying to seduce you. Stay at home and mend socks instead" She said it is an old saying that she had heard and that her great grandmother had a sock darner similar to this one. Overall condition is good. They all show signs of use and wear.
