The crochet hook measures 7" and the awl is 3& 3/4" long. The hook is a little different because it has additional turning half way down the shaft. Very good condition-from late 1800's- early 1900's. Antique carved bone fid and crochet hook with some condition problems. There are dark spots in areas. The fid has a tiny piece chipped from the tip and some tiny chips around the edge of the fat end. There are also some cracks that can be seen close up. The end is scored for better grip.Fid also has 3 tiny old chips on the ridges in center. Just over 5 inches. The 2.5 inch or so handle has an appealing design where it meets the 2 inch needle. As you can see we have not tried to clean it up. Small amount of discoloration on the upper needle and minimal soil on the handle. The handle is smooth. is it bone. Tusk, bakelite? Unable to determine with my limited knowledge. It is smooth but not necessarily worn. This one is different than others listed. The hook is very small. Appears to be 1/16th when I use a tape measure. It is metallic. magnetic.
