The larger pair is by Robert Klass. What pretty detailing it has on the handle. These measure 5 1/2" long and are 2" wide at the handle area. The other pair is from Koch& Co and measure 3 1/2" long and are 1 3/4" wide at the handle area. Both have tarnishing. But seem to work fine. Pretty! I will ship first class mail. Up for bid is this pair of unusual scissors. The handles of these scissors are very ornate and I think are sterling or possibly silverplate. But they are not marked, so cannot guarantee what the metal is. I don't have any idea what these scissors were used to cut, so if anyone knows, please let me know as I'm curious. These measure 6 1/4" long. I could find no markings of any kind on these scissors other than the number 73 on the blade. If you have any questions, please contact me. Art Nouveau Ornate Brass & Steel Scissors With Case Aug.Knecht Solingen
We are delighted to offer these ornate art nouveau scissors. These are marked as follows: Aug. Knecht Solingen with a symbol in the center. These are a fine German steel pair of scissors made circa 1890-1892. The scissors measure 9 13/16"n length. When in the case the total length is 11" The handles have ornate serpents on the tops and sides. The sheath is ornate cast brass with ancient gladiator type figures on each side and the face of a cherub below them. There is an ornate design of scrolls and what looks like some type of shield below the face. The end of the sheath has a pointed crown top. There is some nice age related surface wear and a nice patina to the metal on the scissors. The previous owner cleaned the sheath so it is shinier than the scissors. Terzano Description: These lovely and rare ornate antique Italian steel filigree sewing scissors have fancy pierced bows and handles with scrolling floral pattern. They are completely hand made and filed and the handwork and engraving on both sides is beautifully done. They are Italian from the famous steel making Campobasso city and are stamped with the maker’s initials. If you look at the picture you will note that there’s a tiny disc by the tip of one of the blades. When trying to cut off the selvages of a fabric to get the proper width or length you need to cut a straight line. The tiny disc on the tip allows to pull a thread up along the length of the fabric and use it as a cutting guide. It also can be used to create tulle inserts and to realize laces. This auction is for a gorgeous pair of small sterling handled embroidery scissors. They measure 3 1/2 inches long. I believe they are from the mid 1800's. You can see the small round mark on the top handle in photo 2.this reads. sterling silver" and other hallmarks that I cannot make out. The blades are marked, Germany" the only flaws I see are that one blade has a tiny bit broken off(photo 9) and when the handles are closed the blades don't match up perfectly.only when the handles cross a tiny bit(photo 8) Gorgeous pair of beautifully made early scissors. Antique Swedish Eskilstuna Scissors Pair- 7" 5.5" ornate detailed Two pair of vintage steel Swedish produced scissors with intricate detailed decoration on both sides. Inside marked"Sweden" and other blade has the crown over anchor mark of Eskillstuna. One scissors is 6-7/8" and the other is 5-5/8" Scissors are in very good antique condition and sharp. There is some gold wash remaining on their designs. The longer scissor has more wear to the design than the other and has"Vingaker" on each side below the man's figure. Once the package leaves my hands I no longer have control over its safety at that point it becomes the responsibility of the carrier. No receipt will be included with an item unless it is over $50 or you request one. Need to save paper and ink. Items being shipped out of the country will not be insured therefore it is up to you to contact the carrier to see if they will help. Silscis3 Ornate Sheathed Antique Sterling Silver Scissors English* Circa 1840 These wonderfully ornate sterling silver(tested) handled embroidery scissors and their sterling sheath are at least 170 years old. The scissors shanks are modeled with birds and flowers and the bows are laurel wreaths. Flowers and foliage decorate the sheath. They were made in England in the early 19th century. Probably by Joseph Taylor of Birmingham. English silversmiths didn't mark small items(and have to pay duty on them) until required to by law in the early 1880s. They have tight blades and cut beautifully to the tips. The silver on the scissors is in excellent condition with no dents. Splits or repairs. The sheath is a nice snug fit on the scissors. The scissors measure 3 5/8" long(4" in the sheath) They were probably once part of a boxed set ... moreof tools. These are two pair of very old Art Deco Embroidery Scissors that belonged to my Mom and Grandma. My Grandma used to carry hers in her apron pocket and when a string or something needed clipping she would get them out. They were both avid knitters and embroiders and they used these scissors for many years. One of the pair of scissors still comes in its original plastic snap case. Which is in good condition. Both pairs have USA stamped on them. Both pair of scissors are in very good condition. One pair has some tarnish, and the other pair is just shiny without tarnish. The thread holder is just shy of 3 1/2 inches with total height when scissors are sitting in the scabbord of about 4 3/4 inches. The scissors are 4 inches in length. Beautifully chased scrolls and leaves decorate the shanks and bows of the scissors. The sheath is a popular one of the time with the English empire symbols; the rose for England. The thistle for Scotland and the shamrocks for Ireland. They were made in England in the early 19th century, probably by Joseph Taylor of Birmingham. English silversmiths didn't mark small items(and have to pay duty on them) until required to by law in the early 1880s. The blades are tight with sharp points and they cut very well. The sheath is solid gold tone metal. Probably brass, along the back, and on the front it is gole tone on top and bottom, with a celluloid panel that has roses on it. The entire piece with the scissors in the sheath measures 5 1/2 inches long. And across the top at the handles it is 2 inches. Early 20th Century Victorian Simmons Hardware Keen Kutter 5 1/2" Scissors Ornate
This is a great pair of scissors that have been in the family for a very long time. They are Keen Kutter by Simmons Hardware. And made in Germany. Marked"5 1/2 Inch" They have the Keen Kutter logo on one side, and the other has Simmons Hardware Co, Germany, with Hardware spelled out, not abbreviated as HDWE CO INC, indicating an earlier production. These scissors are in very nice condition, still function, and have a great patina. The blades are dark, but not quite as dark as the photos make them look. They are in the state that they have been in for years, I have not cleaned or washed them. A great addition to your collection. Free shipping. No international buyers please.

VICTORIAN PROVIDENCE SHEAR CO COMPANY SHEARS SCISSORS ORNATE DECORATIVE FANCY
Up for your consideration we have a nice Victorian shears/ scissors marked Providence Shear Co. I am not sure exactly what type of shears these are. But they are old. They measure approx. 6 1/2 inches in length. These shears are in used condition, with the Providence Shear Co.
