This auction is for a gorgeous pair of small sterling handled embroidery scissors. They measure 3 1/2 inches long. I believe they are from the mid 1800's. You can see the small round mark on the top handle in photo 2.this reads. sterling silver" and other hallmarks that I cannot make out. The blades are marked, Germany" the only flaws I see are that one blade has a tiny bit broken off(photo 9) and when the handles are closed the blades don't match up perfectly.only when the handles cross a tiny bit(photo 8) Gorgeous pair of beautifully made early scissors. They are in excellent condition and still work beautifully. I believe they were gold plated. But some of the gold has rubbed off over time. The stamp inside the scissor(photo 4) says, H H Hill, Solingen, Germany" Sorry it is so hard to see. It is very clear with a magnifying glass. These were made in the early 1900's. At first they were cutlery importers. They and their heirs were the exclusive U.S. importers of J. A. Henckels Twin Works cutlery from 1884 to about 1948. Antique 3" scissors with serpents B (or S) Hecht & Son Germany
These tiny little scissors are very very sharp. I found them in a drawer of an old Singer treadle machine at an antique auction about 25 years ago and have kept them in my sewing kit since then. My hands are too arthritic to sew any more. So I am selling them. On one side is written either B. Hecht or S. Hecht& Son Germany, and on the other side is something written in script that I cannot make out. There are 2 serpents that come to face one another at the base of the finger holes. The serpents have a raised dot design on their bodies. There is slight discoloration on a couple of small spots, but overal the scissors are in very nice condition. The photos did not turn out well, and I apologize for that. My camera is limited. SHIPPING is $6 Priority insured.

AS i just found out. they may look old and rusty BUT somebody really sharpened'em sometime AND it wasn't me or I would have known better. i'll be careful in shipping of course) Anyway these are the legendary Wilhelm scissors with his wife.on the handles on both sides and both handles. Very charming indeed. RARE steel scissors marked-SOLINGEN. At time of German Emperor and his bride, the Holstein princess in 1881. They are signed and decorated on both sides with their images. Very good condition(original old patina with marks of age) without broken or missing parts or repairs. 7 inches long and need a good cleaning but I don't like to clean metals on antiques sometimes.i'll let the expert buyer do it.

Peres Soligen Germany" scissors and sheath(approximately 6" long and 1 13/16" wide) with a mark of a barrel; one pair of scissors shaped like a heron/egret(measuring approximately 3 1/2" long and 1 7/16" wide) and marked"New York Shear Cc Germany" and one pair of scissors(measuring approximately 5 5/8" long and 1 13/16" wide) marked"Germany" and what appear to say"B& B Co Int'd 23. This is a unique set that any crafter or collector would love to have! Condition: All of these scissors and sheath have tarnish/patina. The scissors are still in good working order. Both sides have the engraved details which include a little clock around the pivot screw. There are traces of gilding to the interior of the blades. Aside from a little discoloration. The condition is excellent with no dents, repairs or other damage. The blades are tight with intact points and they cut very well. Molded and chiseling, in each side, from Virgin Mary and Jesus(Hecce Homo) The cameo images are rounded by flowers, realistically chiseled. Very collectable. It is so rare and unusual piece. The images are somewhat worn, according to their age and use, but are still completely readable. ANTIQUE VINTAGE GROOMING SCISSORS P. KASTOR & BROS OF GERMANY ORNATE BRASS TRIM
Up for your consideration we have an antique pair of tiny grooming scissors marked P. Kastor& Bros. Germany. They are silver toned metal that has darkened from age that have pretty brass inlay accents up the handles. They are about 3.5" long and 1.5" wide at the top. They are in good condition with a little discoloration of the metal that may shine up when cleaned. We have recently purchase d a major estate of a serious collector of all things unique. Vintage and antique. This collection has been compiled over the course of the past sixty years and has so much to offer.
