This is a nice Pennsylvania one- it is chunky and is Amish or Mennonite handmade- not sure what type of wood it is- does not appear to be be maple. This is a solid one piece darner from Pennsylvania with a very simple and no nonsense design. It measures approximately 5.75" long and 2.25" wide at widest point. This is a wooden Foot Form/ Sock Darner. It is in great condition. And there is a faint stamp still readable in part on the top of it. Please see the images for a closer look. The stamp on this one is not as clear as some others like it, but it was originally stamped"FOOT FORM Pat. NOV, 1907" I can still make out the word FOOT, and the 07, but not much else. I know what it says from looking at others like it. The condition is very good for a piece of this age. It was used to put into shoes to hold their shape.
