Two quite early turned cow boned crochet hooks. One with a steel shaft which measures 4 7/8 inches long. The other measures 4 1/8 inches long. The condition is good with excellent patina. Two Vintage Hand Carved Wood Crochet Hooks Antique Early 1900s Scroll Post
This is a pair of antique hand carved crocket hooks. Items measure approximately 7 1/4 inches high by 5/16 inches wide(18.3cm x 0.7cm) And crocket hook tip size is unknown. The item is unmarked and is hand carved. Items are in good condition with slight warping. This was found in an old book. Light of the Morning" from an estate and is probably from the early 1900s at least pre-1920s. We offer free shipping in the United States via USPS. A pre-owned lot of 7 vintage carved and/or turned crochet hooks in ox bone or other material. Three have impressed marks-U.S.A. Susan Bates with the size and a fourth. Part marking with the size only. One is marked USA Size 3, the longer one with the button end is unmarked as far as I can see, and the last one has no markings, is more finely carved. They look to be in great vintage condition. They certainly have been used, lovingly, I am certain. These belonged to my mother who loved all things to do with crochet. These old crochet hooks and case are in very good. Useable condition. There are five bone, celluloid or faux ivory hooks, three steel hooks and two(yarn? needles. Three of the ivory-colored hooks are labeled as follows: 6" Susan Bates 2 1/2mm US 1; ZE 0; and HERO 1. One of the steel hooks is marked"11" and has an engraved floral design. The others are unmarked. The two needles are unmarked and one has a bird carving on one end. The box(6" x 1.25" x.5" is stamped"Durham Duplex" with an embossed crest in the middle. These two crochet hooks are small sized. One marked"11" is 4" long, the other marked"13" is 5" long. The longer hook has"pat ent" marked on the other side, with the head of a beaked bird stamped in the space created. I can't find this mark and am unsure what it indicates, could be silver but I don't know. Both are in excellent condition and are usable.

Lot of 10 Antique Turned / Carved Bone Sewing Tools AWLS CROCHET HOOKS etc
This lot consists of 6 turned and carve ox bone crochet hooks- some double tips. A glove or shoe button hook, 2 awls and another tool that I'm unsure of(bone tips on cord) The 2nd crochet hook from the bottom has a double steel shaft hook. Bone handle has a dark hairline crack but is still very stable and can still be used. Steel shafts are very thin towards the tips and are slightly bent. The 4th crochet hook has a flat blade type end- not sure what it would have been used for but an edge of the blade is chipped. Interesting and unusual piece. The longest awl or punch has a spot of soiling that should clean off easily enough. Steel on pieces with steel has expected darkening from age. No other damage or issues to note.
