These beautiful little embroidery scissors are 3 ½ inches in length. With 1 ½ inch blades. The handles are stamped“STERLING” in two places and the blades are very sharp with an excellent‘bite’ They are not loose. There is slight oxidation on the blades but no pitting; this should clean up well. The sterling handles are festooned with flowers, and are in their original, as-found condition; I wiped them but did not polish. In as close to perfect condition as 100 year old, as-found scissors can be. These will be padded and in a box, inside a bubble envelope, for shipment unless you request something other. Two pairs of Victorian sewing scissors. The first pair is marked sterling and the handles display ornate scroll design. On the scissor part is marked Webster. The handle is marked sterling. The scissors appear to be in very good condition with very minor oxidation on interior of scissor where it folds in. The handles have a tiny ding on the top of one handle. The scissors measure 4 1/4" long x 2 1/4" wide. The second pair is unmarked and I suspect they could be silver plated. The handles display an Aesthetic Movement design and the scissor blade is marked USA. No other markings can be found. This pair is in very good condition with very light oxidation on the handles. Absolutely stunning pair of Victorian figural scissors in the shape of a witch riding a broom. Two-toned silver and gold color. Measures 4" and is marked Salem 1692 Registered Germany with a mark in shape of a barrel with a cross and the number 48. The other side is marked only with the number 48. These scissors are in very good condition but not perfect. There is some wear to the metal in several areas on both the witch and on the handles. Most noticeably at the bottom of her skirt on one side, which I attempt to capture in the last photo. The blades are extremely sharp and move nicely on the screw, which is firm. There is some wear or light rust on one blade, which I show in the photo as well. This is a great pair of scissors that have been in the family for a very long time. They are Keen Kutter by Simmons Hardware. And made in Germany. Marked"5 1/2 Inch" They have the Keen Kutter logo on one side, and the other has Simmons Hardware Co, Germany, with Hardware spelled out, not abbreviated as HDWE CO INC, indicating an earlier production. These scissors are in very nice condition, still function, and have a great patina. The blades are dark, but not quite as dark as the photos make them look. Antique Victorian MOP Sewing Box with Accessories Spools Scissors Thimble Tape
This Auction is for an Antique Victorian Sewing Box with accessories with a label which reads- J. Handford. Manufacturer, 157 Bazaar, 73 Oxford St. The Box. Which has a Mother of Pearl cartouche inlay with the name"Jane" engraved in the top. Measures approximately 14 inches long by 9 3/4 inches deep by 5 1/4 inches tall and is in very good condition with some quite minor cracks to the top of the box's wood and two missing pieces of what I believe are inlayed brass strips- located at the bottom of the front of the box. The inside of the box is missing the little sliding lever for holding the drop down folder holder inset in the lid and we do not have the key for the lock. The top tray of the box contains 16 Carved Mother of Pearl and bone Spools(2 with thread on them) 1 pair of MOP handled scissors. A MOP tape measure. A MOP ... moremetal banded thimble. Several MOP thread winders? a MOP thread waxer? a perfume bottle? plus several other pieces of sewing items. But I don't know what they are made to do. There is a MOP cap which looks like it is to go over the end of what I think is something for picking thread? but the cap doesn't screw on- it appears to be over sized. On the overall. This auction is for an absolutely fabulous pair of antique sewing scissors. These would be from the late 1800's. When folded they collapse into a neat compact piece measuring 2 1/4 inches long. They open to full working scissors at almost 4 inches long. The handles are sterling. One side is marked sterling; the other has initials which are quite faded at this point. The blade near the screw says PATENT on one side. And Germany on the other. They really don't get better than this. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Antique Victorian Gothic Bronze Sheath And Scissors
This is a cool looking antique Victorian Gothic bronze sheath and scissors. I'm sensing it's from the 1880s to about 1900. The entire piece measures 10 1/2 inches long(26.7 cm) The sheath width varies from 1/4 inch at the bottom to 1 1/8 inches at the top(64 cm to 2.9 cm) It is 5/8 inches thick(1.6 cm) The scissors themselves measure 9 1/2 inches long(24.1 cm) The scissor handle is 2 1/4 inches wide(5.7 cm) The detail on this piece is beautiful. There's a good chance it's German. Though it's not marked. There is green tarnishing on one of the thin sides of the sheath(please see photo) One of the wide sides of the sheath has lost part of its patina. Possibly worn off due to use. Beautiful Pair Brass Bronze Victorian Scissors and Case or Blade Holder Germany
Beautiful. Fantastic set of Victorian scissors and case or holder. The scissors handle and holder are in brass or bronze and have a very ornate Victorian Era decoration. Probably date to about 1880. Scissor blades are sharp, made from carbon steel and marked"GERMANY" Length of scissors in case is 8 1/2" Scissors alone are 7" Everything is in excellent condition with no damage, rust, etc. The blade holder is slightly loose fit on blades. Brass/bronze surfaces have great antique patina.

Antique German Sterling Silver Sewing Scissors WHS Co Victorian Floral Design
This auction is for a nice pair of antique sewing scissors. The handles are both stamped Sterling and have a delicate floral design. The blades are stamped WHS Co and Germany and are probably not sterling. Measures 4" in length. The tip of the blades are a little dinged. The handles are loose and the scissors show a lot of age-related patina, but these are otherwise nice and fully intact.
