Found at estate sale: This is a very nice antique apothecary or laboratory etched glass 16 ounce graduated beaker made by the Whitall Tatum Co- circa early 1900's. The company mark is etched within a triangle near the top of the beaker"Guarunteed Accurate- Whitall Tatum Co- N.Y.Phila" The beaker measures 8.5" tall and has a pedestal base that measures 3.25" in diameter. The condition is very good for the age- no chips or cracks noted. But the markings are somewhat worn due to age and use, and there is scratching. Two Whitall Tatum W.T. & Co. Large Apothecary Pharmacy Glass Jar Bottle Label
Available for sale are a lot of two(2) very large apothecary pharmacy bottles. Both of these bottles are from the Whitall Tatum& Co and each have a beautiful gold embossed labels under the glass. Bottle#1: Label reads: MIST.GLYC.CO. Overall height of bottle with stopper is 12 1/2" tall and 4 1/2" in diameter Bottom of bottle is marked with raised letters and reads: W.T. Co. B U.S.A. There is a crack in the glass atop the label. This does not do through to the inside of the bottle itself. Just on the label. It appears that at someone tried to repair it with some type of glue.See photo#4& 5) Some imperfections and roughness along outer edges of label Beautiful embossed gold scroll design No chips on the ground stopper. Antique Early 1900s Apothecary Glass Salt Mouth Bottle The type of mouth this bottle has classifies this as a salt mouth bottle WT CO B on the bottom. It looks as if there was some sort of error stamping the bottom. The W is doubled and there appears to be an 8 in addition to the B. a few little nicks on the lip of the stopper but otherwise no chips or cracks. There are imperfections in the glass though including bubbles and other air pockets original stopper Remnants were once P. RHEI. drug name in Latin) there are a few cracks on the glass on the lable. Pair of Vintage Whitall Tatum & Co. Apothecary/Laboratory/Perfume Bottles.
A lot of two vintage Whitall Tatum and Co. laboratory and/or perfume bottles. The rounded bottle is definately a laboratory bottle and is marked"W.T. Co" and with a"B" It stands about 5" tall and weighs approximately 3.5 oz. The squared bottle is marked"W.T. CO. And with a"C" It also is marked"U.S.A. It stands just over 5" tall and weighs approximately 4.2 oz. Because of the more decorative design of this bottle, I tend to believe it may have been intended as a perfume bottle or decantor. Please inspect the photos for a closeup look. There are no chips in either piece. Both pieces have some imperfections in the glass, albeit, very minor.

It is marked on the bottom in embossed letters WT& CO(A) I have dated this bottle to 1878. This once held Guaiacol Carbonate. Which was used medicinally as an expectorant, antiseptic and local anesthetic. This bottle measures 5.5" tall. The label is hand painted under glass in black lettering with a gold and red border. And for a decade from the 1920s on, the trademark became a"W" and"T" inside a triangle. Whitall Tatum Company The Whitall Tatum Company. Or Whitall Tatum, was one of the first glass factories in America. Located in Millville. New Jersey, it operatION from 1806 through 1938. The location was ideal for making glass because silica based sand is plentiful in southern New Jersey, the Maurice River flowing through Millville provided a source of water, and plentiful forests provided energy for industrial processes. Vintage Pharmacy General Store Tin Dispensing Tank - Phenix - Whitall Tatum Co
This relic of yesteryear was found in general stores. Barbershops and pharmacies. It was used for dispensing medicine in various forms. This particular canister held Glycerinum, which was used for head and chest colds, pneumonia, headaches and other ailments. The tin measures about 12 1/2" tall and is in excellent condition. There are no dents in the tin. There is slight surface rust in various places on the inside and some rust on the outside that can easily be seen in the photos. Hand blown clear glass laboratory battery jar W T & Co. Whitall Tatum
This clear glass laboratory or battery jar has a very wide mouth and a pour spout. It is 6- 1/8" tall and 4- 3/8" across the base and 3- 3/4" across the mouth(not including the spout) The base is faintly embossed"W T& Co. USA" Whitall Tatum) but it is difficult to read. There are no other markings. On the side. There is a slight round depression for a label. The top of the jar was snapped and ground, so the rim is chippy, and there are a couple of larger chips, the largest is about 3/8" wide and 1/4" long. You can see these in the 2nd& 3rd photos. Most likely they occurred when the jar was made, although there is no way to really tell. There are no cracks. Up for auction is a remarkable Hand Blown Glass Apothecary Bottle. Dating from around 1860. Glass made by this early American glass maker Whittle Tatum& Co. is highly sought after by collectors(bottom is marked PHILA WHITALL TATUM& CO D NEW YORK) Bottle measures about 4 1/4" and is in excellent condition, with no cracks or chips(however, the glass stopper is missing) The hand blown bottle is clear glass with visible bubbles, as well as vertical seams remaining from the mold into which the glass was blown. A very nice apothecary jar made by the Whitall Tatum Company. It is embossed on the bottom with"Pat Apr 2 1889 W.T. Co. The label is under glass. The inside of the neck and the stopper bottom are acid frosted. The bottle measures 9 ½“ tall(with stopper) There are no chips or cracks to the bottle. I am back from a monster shopping trip to the World’s Longest Yard Sale– we shop Ohio every year and then stop at some of my favorite spots in Indiana to buy from. Spent 2 whole days taking photos and still not done– I have a LOT and I’ll be listing for weeks. There’s something for everyone- primitive antiques, ephemera, military, railroad, industrial, farm finds– you name it, I have it and it’s all unique– you’ll want to keep checking, as I will list every day. Enjoy! Here is a nice old glass apothecary jar! Marked on the bottom by the maker. WT& Co. Whitall Tatum was one of the first glass factories in the United States, with the first location being in Millville New Jersey, they opened in 1838 and operated under the Whitall name until 1938, when they were purchased ... moreby Armstrong Cork. The mark on the bottle is"W. T. Co, along with the letter A. This mark was used by the company from 1901 through the teens, the mark being changed in the 1920s. It's a cool old molded glass bottle- you can see the mold line going up both sides and stopping at the base of the blown glass neck. The bottle has an old paper label that I'm assuming is original. The word reads STARCH, but it's in cut outs in the paper, not printed on the paper. The label is in very good condition- it shows are in discoloration and small dark spots, and some teenie nibbles on the bottom of the paper- mostly on the left, the very tip of the left corner is missing, some very light scratching, but no other chips but on the left lower edge- that's it- I think it looks fabulous for being 100 or so years old. The bottle has its original stopper, and the sides of the stopper are frosted where it fits into the bottle, as is the inside of the bottle frosted where it meets the sides of the stopper! There are no nicks, cracks or issues on the bottle, at first, I thought I saw some nibbles on the mouth, but on closer inspection, discovered that they are bubbles under

FOENICULI(This means FENNEL WATER. Made of a solution of oil of fennel seed and water. It was used as treatment for stomach ills, whooping cough, a diuretic and more. Fennel water is still sold today and brewed as a tea, with seeds steeped in water or with a fennel tea bag. The gold label is held in place by a clear curved piece. Made of thin glass. If this is lifted, the fragile old paper will fall apart. I found that out on another similar bottle. The clear curved piece sits in a recess in the bottle atop the label. The bottle is 8 1/2 inches tall with the stopper in place. The bottom is 2 3/4 inches across the bottom. On the bottom is W.T. ~~ What did Big Mike find this time? ~~ ~ 2 Vintage Chas H. Fletcher Castoria Apothecary Bottles. They are made by 2 different bottle makers. The first has a"C" on the bottom. Believed to be made by the Cunningham& Company. The second bottles mark is a rarity. It is made by the Whitall Tatum Company from Millville. New Jersey. Dated between 1922-1938. This company is a highly sought after bottle by collector's. It's numbered 29 which is the mold identification number. They are both aqua in color and in excellent condition though they could use a good cleaning. They both measure 5 1/4in tall. Vintage Whitall Tatum Co. 16 oz.Glass Graduated Beaker Antique
Whitall Tatum Co. Beaker in perfect condition. No chips.Cracks, or cloudiness. It has raised etched numbers. The glass company was in business from 1806-1938, was one of the first glass factories in America. Early pieces were cast in metal molds, which left casing lines. One of the best known companies of prescription glassware. Beaker stands 8 1/2" tall, 5" top lip to pouring spout, base measures 3 1/4" Markings include a D on the base, on side it has various mfg. markings, please see photos for finer details, and the wonderful old mold marks. Rare 1890's Whitall Tatum & Co. Hand Blown Glass Specimen Jar Vintage Apothecary
This listing is for a rare Whitall Tatum and Co. hand-blown glass specimen jar. This item is sold AS IS. The jar dates from between 1898 and 1901 and is hand-blown soda lime glass. The glass has natural imperfections including a few small bubbles and slight waviness in the sides of the glass due to natural thickness variation. The bottom of the jar has a slight mark where the punty was attached during the jar's fabrication. The top flange also has a slight fold where it was attached to the jar body. The inner lip of the flange is ground glass. As seen in the pictures. The lid of the jar reads WHITALL.TATUM& Co PHILADELPHIA NEW YORK. The lid also has two small hand-blown hooks from which specimens can be suspended. Both the jar and lid have no chips. Cracks, clouding or damage. This jar does not include the metal screw clamp. Co- for Whitall Tatum Company Hard to read patent dates- the larger bottle(7 1/4" x 2 7/8" reads March? 1892 The three smaller bottles(6" x 2" read April 2 then can't decipher date I have a couple of extra tops which I will include. I don't think the top for the larger bottle is the right size. Please examine photos carefully. Sold as is.

Up for auction is an Antique 1871 Ammonium Oxalate Apothecary Bottle Whitall Tatum& Co. New York. It is a 125 ml bottle. It is 4 1/4" tall(without the topper) and 2" wide. The front reads AMMONIUM OXALATE(NH 4)2C204. On the bottom it is stamped PHILA PAT. MAR. 25 1879 WHITALL TATUM& CO. U.S.A. NEW YORK. The bottle is in good condition. The bottle has surface scratches and someone scratched ID at the top of the bottle and 4 at the bottom onto it. It also needs to be cleaned. There is no other damage to the bottle that I can see. The topper is in good condition as well. It looks like it had a stem but is broken off. The rest of it is intact. This item is being sold as is. Please see pictures for further detail and condition. The bare metal can still be seen under the rust and the rust does not impair the tightening screw in any way. The screw fits in a small. Circular indent on the lid to screw tightly into place. The dimensions of the LARGE jar are: 6.5" height without lid. 7.5" height with lid. 3.0" outer flange diameter. 4.5" inner flange and jar diameter. 3.7" outer jar diameter(bottom) 4.5" outer lid diameter. The dimensions of the screw clamp are: 6.25" at widest point. 1.875" height at ends. 1.4" height of screw. 0.17" thickness of clamp horizontally. 0.43" thickness of clamp vertically. The dimensions of the SMALL jar are: 3.0" outer flange diameter. 2.4" inner flange and jar diameter. 2.7" outer jar diameter. 3.0" outer lid diameter. 3.9" height without lid. 4.1" height with lid.
