~ANTIQUE APOTHECARY CHEMICAL LABORATORY MEDICAL WHEATON GLASS BOTTLES LOT~ Up for bid is a nice 4 chemical glass bottle lot from the late 1800s to the early 20th Century from one of the great bottle companies of the era The Wheaton Glass Company. The T.C. Wheaton Company was started in 1888 by Dr. Theodore C. Wheaton. They started by making ampoules. Viles, and chemical bottles. In 1892 they expanded and started to produce perfume bottles, and in 1937 expanded again to accommodate the growing consumer demand. 1946 the Wheaton Glass Company started to delineate the different product lines. The company was sold to Algroup in 1996. The four heavy glass chemical bottles are: Acid Acetic, Ammonium Hydroxide, Barium Chloride, and Alcohol. The bottles have all been cleaned and there is no smell to the inside of the bottle. They are 8 inches tall ... morewith stopper, about 7 inches at the top of the neck and are 3 inches in diameter. The glass stopper is 2 ¼ inches long. The bottles have raised lettering of the Chemical name and compounds on the front. Three of the bottles have strings tied to the glass stopper and the neck of the bottle. On the bottom of the bottle it is stamped Wheaton, No-Sol-Vit, 5 U.S.A. The Alcohol and Barium bottles are stamped with the number 5, the Acid is stamped with the number 4, and the Ammonium is stamped with the number 3. There are no cracks, chips, breaks, or deep scratches. The overall condition of these Antique bottles is excellent for their age and use. Platinum Works, Malvern, PA, USA) was created sometime during the early- mid 1900s. J. Bishop& Co. was the first'Platinum Works' in the US, founded in 1842. In 1903 the company was relocated to Malvern, PA, where the chemical sales office and platinum chemical company is still located, today. This specific antique bottle contained'Palladium Chloride Solution, a mixture used in photography studios. This bottle is in excellent condition with no nicks. Chips or cracks. Antique Whitall Tatum Laboratory Reagent Bottle in Original Wrapper
Up for bid. Antique W.T.Co(Whithall Tatum) Flint Glass" 17 Ammonium Chloride NH 4 CL, 4 oz. Reagent Bottles in their original wrappers! The Bottles feature ground glass labels. flat" top style glass stoppers with frosted flutes and were manufactured within the 1901-1924 period based on information available about the maker marks on the bottom of the bottle. W.T. Co. K. U.S.A. The bottles are hand blown and of a 3 piece mold style. The round. Main portion of the bottle was blown first, then the neck and bottom were attached later in the process. All of these bottles have air pockets indicating the hand blown method rather than a machine molded method. They were also reported to have used a"Lime" method to create clear glass, keeping them from turning purple with exposure to sunlight, as with flint glass methods that used ... moremanganese. This may explain why these bottles are still clear after 100 years. Whitall Tatum& Sons stated"The Bottles are made of glass containing no lead. Zinc, or other metallic flux. NJ by Whitall Tatum more than likely in their South Millville Factory(which was almost solely dedicated to the manufacture of flint glass items) and sold by a wholesaler(Eberbach& Sons) of Ann Arbor, Mich. who was(and still is) a major supplier to the Scientific, Medical, and Pharmaceutical communities of the time. The bottles were marketed under Eberbach's"Modern Tools of Science" brand. The bottles in their wrappers have been cross-referenced against a copy of the Whitall Tatum Catalogue(10 A) of 1904 held by the Corning Museum of Glass and shown on page 52 of that catalog. Originally. The set contained over 60 different Reagent Bottles. I unfortunately had to verify the cross referencing by opening one of the wrapped bottles. Rare Antique Lead Chemical Bottle Chemistry Scientific Laboratory Heavy Caustic
You are bidding on a very rare antique lead caustic bottle. This bottle measures 5 1/8" tall x 1 5/8" at the base and is heavy for its size.almost 1 pound 2 ounces. We believe it was intended for caustic/corrosive materials in a laboratory. We do also believe the bottle is part iron with the lead, due to the slight rusting in bottom of inside of bottle and that a magnet will stick to it which lead alone wouldn't do. We did discuss this with someone who has a doctorate in science who said it has to be mostly lead because of the weight of the bottle. We got the bottle at a estate sale where a huge amount of everything in the house was from the 1800's and no later than the early 1900's. This large amber pharmacy bottle measures about 14" tall. It is embossed with: CHR Hansen's Laboratory Little Falls NY USA" And there is a trade mark in the middle. It needs some inside cleaning. When I rubbed my finger on the inside top lip I could feel a couple of little rough spots, and so I examined it with a magnifier and found 2 little chips. They are very small, and like I said, they are on the inside rim and the cork covers them. This is a big, beautiful bottle to display. Selling as is. This is a large. Up for your consideration is an older T.C.W. Co. druggist bottle with stopper. The bottle has the word"Trigom" on one side. The word is handwritten and has some fading to the letters. On the other side. As well as on the stopper, is the number 212. Also on the top of the stopper. There's a handwritten T in black paint. We didn't notice any chips or cracks on the bottle, however. Offered here for your bidding evaluation is this old Sulphuric Acid. Dil. H 2 SO 4 chemistry or apothecary bottle with a nice label still intact on its front. The bottle stands 6 7/8" tall and has a diameter of 3 3/8" With its clean lines and good looking label. This antique glass laboratory bottle can make an interesting decorative statement in the proper interior. The label has the look of paper but is evidently made of a stronger, long lasting material. The lettering has the appearance of being stenciled on. There is debris visible inside the bottle that I'm sure can be cleaned out. The label exhibits some minor soiling along with some faint writing penned on the right hand side. All I can make out of this writing is" IN Jan 64. Vintage Grasselli Aqua Glass Chemical Laboratory Bottle w/ Stopper 1 Gallon
Rare Aqua colored glass bottle with matching stopper. Embossed"G" on the front with THE GRASSELLI CHEMICAL CO embossed on the bottom. 1 gallon Measures 13" tall with stopper in. 5" across the bottom This bottle is aesthetically beautiful. But does have a couple cosmetic flaws. The bottom of the stopper has some chips, a half inch long chip on the lip of the bottle, a half inch long crack in the lip as well. The lip and stopper are very thick glass, so I do not foresee the damage worsening with age. Overall light scuff marks to the bottle. Still very beautiful and in my opinion. Good condition for its age.

Super rare find. Antique Pharmacy device. At first I thought the round bottom flask might not have been original, then my chemist husband explained a burner would have been used under the flask, and a tube would have gone from the flask into the cup. It makes complete sense, as you can see the ring around the flask is darker and has been subjected to heat. There is a small hairline on the inside of the lip of the flask. There is a small flea bite on the bottom of the stand. Reads"Johnson. Fraser, and Co Glascow" on the bottom. It is quite large. The stand measures 11 1/2 inches wide by 13 inches tall. Old Vintage Laboratory Apothecary Jar Bottle Pyrex T-24 Stopper Stopcock
Old Vintage Laboratory Apothecary Jar Bottle Pyrex T-24 Stopper Stopcock A 26 years long time antique dealer in this area is closing her doors for good. And I actually spent two days picking this weekend through her stuff. She specialized in very old primitives, but I was able to grab a little bit for everyone– I have some fabulous advertising, industrial, retro, deco, lots of store displays and apothecary too– you don’t want to miss this week! Here is an early vintage glass apothecary jar with a solid glass stopper/stopcock that has a relief mark that reads. Pyrex T-24, on one side. Now, the glass jar is not marked, so I don't know if it is Pyrex also, or if the stopper and jar started out life together. What I did notice is that the topper does not go all the way down flush to the top of the jar as I might expect it too- see what I ... moremean in my photos- you can see that the flat tim of the stopper bottom is about 1/4" from the top rim of the bottle. I think they look great together as they are, regardless of if they started together. The jar is made from clear molded glass, with circular lines from blowing that you can see at the top rim and the bottom of the jar. It measures 5 7/8" tall, 3 3/4" diameter at the bottom, 1 3/4" diameter across the rim of the mouth with a mouth opening that is 7/8" diameter measuring on the inside walls. It is in excellent solid and sturdy condition- no cracks or structural issues. There's lots of anomalies original to the making that you can see inside of the thick glass- lines, bubbles and burps, but no damage. In photo 5, I'm showing a close up of stretch type lines in the glass at the neck of the bottle- those are not cracks, they are original to the making. As you can see from my photos, it has a hazy opaque white residue on the inside and needs a good cleaning. I do not clean or mess with as found patina in any way. The stopper measures 2 1/2" tall, has a 2" diameter rim and the bottom of the stopper that goes inside of the bottle

Vintage Pyrex 5 Gallon Laboratory Bottle with Solid Wood Stopper
Here's a Pyrex 5 gallon size laboratory glass jar and a solid wood cork. We are not sure of the age but could be from the 1920's or 1930's. It stands almost 20" high with the stopper and about 11 1/2" across the base. It is marked on the front with"Trademark Pyrex Made in USA 5 Gal" Although it is pretty clean and clear. There are some tiny marks on the inside and some very-very slight residue. You can see the seam of the jar as it continues up to the top rim of the jar but in an angle. There are what we would consider to be the normal scratching on the bottom rim where it sits given the age of this. There is a tiny flat flake on the top rim. It weighs 15 1/2 lbs.

ANTIQUE CHEMIST LABORATORY BEAKER APOTHECARY ONION BOTTLE OPEN PONTIL GLASS
I believe the unusual shape of this clear glass beaker/bottle was created to control the pouring of liquid for an apothecary. The middle of the neck seems to be crimped to allow the even flow of air and liquid and the top of the neck widens a bit below the spout to slow down and control the pouring. From what I understand the open rough pontil mark on the bottom would date this bottle to about the 1850s. The information I am giving I have come across online and was very limited. Since I am not an expert please research and judge for yourself. A lthough the bottle has some exterior scratches. Residue on the bottom inside and a very small flea bite sized I chip on the top rim, it still displays very well. the bottle measures 7 1/2 inches tall by 4 inches wide.
