ART DECO APOTHECARY SHOW GLOBE PHARMACY AWESOME This is a fantastic art deco. Antique show globe. These types of globes were often hung in pharmacies and filled with different color liquids. It has a classic art deco styling. The frame that holds the globe is cast aluminum. It has mild oxidation but overall looks fantastic for the age. The globe looks awesome. It has a couple small nicks around the neck. It is an acorn shape and has a glass cork which fills with liquid as well. It has the cast aluminum matching ceiling base to give it the appearance of standard lighting. This is a very cool piece. These are getting harder and harder to find. Up for your consideration is a pair of original circa 1900 apothecary beehive show globes from a WPa estate. Massive heavy glass globes sits inside of an art deco metal stand with ground glass stopper. Total height is 24" widest area measures 10" across. These have residue of previous contents that will need washed out. One globe is very nice. No chips or cracks. The second globe has a damaged stopper. Still very usable. see pictures of this stopper with and without the rubber stopper. No damage is visible when the stopper is in place. Jar#2 is undamaged. RARE* Hanging Apothecary Show Globe The glass is colored a blue color so there is no need to add colored water. Approximately 13" tall when assembled. Not including the chain which is 16 inches. No cracks or chips in the glass. The top part appears to be made of some type of cast metal(mold lines are visible) CORNELL" and"802" are marked on the inside of the top part. 3 screws hold the globe onto the top part. This is a very hard to find. Rare show globe that came from the soda fountain area of any old pharmacy. This beautiful. Late19th century, leaded glass apothecary show globe is 14" H X 10 1/2" W. The overall length is 29" from the ceiling, including the ceiling canopy and chain. I see one piece of cracked green glass and, tried to show it. I also see a few areas where the lead has slightly pulled away from the glass. All in all, the condition is very good for it's age, and displays nicely, as you can see. I replaced the old wire so it is ready to hang, with or without electric. This antique show globe came from an old drug store in Lancaster County PA. It stands 7.5" tall and the neck has a metal cap with 3 or 4 threads as if there was originally a cap or it threaded onto another piece. There is very slight staining on the interior surface from liquid. The color is a deep pink or magenta. The stand is not original or old but will come with the globe.

Excellent condition. The only flaw is a couple of small wear marks on the lower stopper portion which is barely visible. The upper part is flawless. This is another really cool pharmacy show globe from my personal collection. I bought it years ago from Charles Richardson. Author of THE PILL ROLLERS: APOTHECARY ANTIQUES AND DRUG STORE COLLECTIBLES. He called this"the poor man's showglobe. It is the top section and stopper of a multi tier show globe, for which a custom made wooden stand has been fashioned. The rest of this show globe has long been gone, probably broken by some irate, turn of the past centry, drugstore customer. As you can see in the pictures, the section is copper wheel etched with a floral design and has a plain glass stopper. CONDITION: looks to be an old glass repair on the lip of the bottle(see coloration difference in the photos) ring around neck of bottle is crudely applied and the stopper is clouded with a yellowish color.
