Beautiful Vintage Cobalt Blue Glass Apothecary Jar Bottle Ground Lid Stopper Wow
An estate find comes this really beautiful cobalt blue apothecary jar measuring 11" high with lid in place x 5-1/4" in diameter. The apothecary jar has no chips. Cracks, scratches or repairs, but does have a couple of manufacturing flaws on the lip of the jar which do not affect its integrity. In fact, I think these give it even more character! The beautiful gold-rimmed label reads: Lin. Chlorof. Chloroform Poison! Condition: No chips or cracks to glass label or bottle. Label has excellent coloration. There is some very minor discoloration to the gold edges of the hand-painted reverse label that is barely noticeable, as well as some very minor crazing and separation to paint in upper right half of label- similar to an old oil painting. Up for auction is a vintage late 1800s cobalt blue pharmaceutical. Apothecary bottle. The label states: Rose Geranium Bourbon Dodge& Olcott New York The bottle is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, or damage. The label is intact but in very poor condition. The bottle is about half full with the rose geranium bourbon. It does have a cork stopper. This is one of many bottles bought from a deceased pharmacist estate. The wife of the pharmacist stated that part of his collection had been through a fire, as I believe this bottle is one of these. The bottle is 5 inches in height and 1 3/4 inches in diameter. I found an old magazine online that stated that this rose geranium bourbon was used as an essential oil and cost 75 cents per ounce in 1887. It is a large bottle and measures 9" tall with a base diameter of 3 5/8" It is marked on the label area"Powd Nux Vomica" The label and lettering show wear as pictured. It looks like the"P" N" and"V" were printed in red to indicate poison. The bottom of the bottle is marked"215" The bottle jar is in excellent condition with zero damage. You can see bubbles in the glass from the production of the bottle. The cork stopper fits snuggly and it is in very good condition. There are no contents remaining in the bottle. The bottle displays beautifully and it is sold as is. $10.00 postage.

Up for auction is an extremely rare. Deep cobalt blue, hand-blown apothecary jar with reverse-painted, glass label in gold. The item is 8.6” tall to top of the stopper and 2.7” wide. The jar is part of a matching set currently being offered on Ebay. Both pieces are well over a century old as evidenced by their beautiful pontil marks, heavy glass, matching ground stoppers and style– probably pre-to-early Civil War Era. The reverse-painted glass label reads, VIN. PEPSIN. There is some minor nibbling to label edge on right side, as well as a small piece missing from top right. Beyond that and some very minor crazing to painted edges, the label looks great in terms of color brightness. No cracks. The wonderfully preserved gold-foil color reflects light and displays very nicely with the deep, heavy cobalt glass, which is in great shape- only a ... morefew tiny surficial scratches only noticeable upon close inspection. V intage 1920's/1930's or older medicine bottle- cobalt blue glass pharmacy pharmaceutical. Pharmacist medicine herb tonic apothecary drug store retail display bottle jar with cork stopper. It is a large bottle and measures 9" tall with a base diameter of 3 5/8" It is marked on the label area"Bole Armen" meaning astringent earth. The label and lettering show wear as pictured. The bottom of the bottle is marked"599" The bottle jar is in excellent condition with zero damage. You can see bubbles in the glass from the production of the bottle. The cork stopper fits snugly and it is in very good condition. There are contents remaining in the bottle. It displays beautifully and is sold as is. $10.00 postage.

Here is a great cobalt blue glass bottle. Item is in great overall condition with minimal- but some wear. Item measures to be exactly 6 inches long.
