This wonderful piece has bubbles and inclusions of the blown glass process. There are many air bubbles throughout the piece' on all sides and even within the ground neck. The jar is in very good condition and the stopper is ground and in very nice condition. There is a tiny flea bite on the collar of the jar, along the top edge.Only visible upon very close inspection. Great and rare bottle that reads" Andre Autard/ 6 Rue Castiglione/ PARIS I cannot find anything like this anywhere in books or on the internet. Maybe you know more about it? I'd love to hear any info you may know about this bottle. It is in decent condition. The glass cork like top looks to have been broken off inside of the lip/hole of the bottle. I haven't tried to remove it because I don't want to damage the bottle. If you could get it out it would clean up very nicely! Glass Label Apothecary Bottles~LUG~Pharmacy~Circa. 1800s, Blown Glass
Apothecary Bottle Circa. 1800's. 9 1/2" tall Blown Glass. LUG(Label Under Glass) SUN CHOLER.M. BOTH BOTTLE AND TOP ARE IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE IS A SMALL CHIP IN THE LIP AND THE GLASS LABEL IS CHIPPED. See photos) The thumbprint top was made wth a large shapely bubble of air in the center section, and the indents are sharply cut. There is a pontil mark on the base. The apothecary bottle. Circa 1870s came from a Brooklyn Pharmacy established in 1875. It measures 9 1/2" high to the top of the ground glass stopper by 2 3/4" wide at the base. Antique Vintage Apothecary Medicine Bottle Advertising Hydrochloric Acid 1800s
Very cool antique hydrochloric acid apothecary bottle. I believe it is from the late 1800s. The paper label shows some obvious signs of its age. Pieces of it have torn off. And a few of the exposed edges are brittle. The bottle has some dirt and residue on the inside and outside, but I know many collectors like that so I will leave it up to the buyer to decide whether to clean it or not. The stopper is stuck in place. It may be able to be removed with a bit of force, but I was afraid of breaking it, and I don't see any real need to remove it anyway, so I left it in place. This is a nice early cobalt blue jar with ground pontil and facetted stopper- the early type from the 1800s. Rare in blue. It is hand finished with a tooled lip. A matching stopper, and a permanent label saying Ferr. Lactic. the jar once held Ferrous Lactate(which today would be labelled Iron Lactate) CONDITION is excellent with NO chips. Cracks, bruises, dings. Consisten with age there is wear to the label, especially to the gilding surrounding the permanent label, but no damage. HEIGHT: just over 3.25 inches including stopper. Up for auction is a vintage late 1800s cobalt blue pharmaceutical. Apothecary bottle. The label states: Rose Geranium Bourbon Dodge& Olcott New York The bottle is in excellent condition with no chips. Cracks, or damage. The label is intact but in very poor condition. The bottle is about half full with the rose geranium bourbon. It does have a cork stopper. This is one of many bottles bought from a deceased pharmacist estate. The wife of the pharmacist stated that part of his collection had been through a fire, as I believe this bottle is one of these. The bottle is 5 inches in height and 1 3/4 inches in diameter. I found an old magazine online that stated that this rose geranium bourbon was used as an essential oil and cost 75 cents per ounce in 1887. Nice early etched apothecary bottle stopper. This is the rare version that can also hold colored liquid. Hand blown and etched all around. This rare stopper stands at a whopping 14 1/2" No damage at all. The large, unpolished end has natural unevenness from being snapped off of the glass-blowing tube. No scratches, bumps or bruises.
