Antique Brown Apothecary Pharmacy Bottle 1906 Act Indianapolis Ginger
Wow. What a great find. This is an antique brown bottle, apothecary style. It does have a possible chip on the rim, but it has smooth edges and doesn't really feel like one so may just be a flaw in the making. There is also a flaw in the bottom of the bottle. Still looks very nice and has some air bubbles in the glass to give it that antique character. The really great thing is that this one still has a partial label. It contained ginger and it was from Indianapolis, IN. It also says it was packaged according to the FDA act of 1906 which attests to how old it is. It measures 7 1/2" tall and 3" in diameter. There is also a symbol on the bottom that looks like a diamond around an I so I believe it was made by the Illinois Glass Co.

This bottle measures 8.5 inches tall with a 4 inch in diameter base. The glass in this bottle is not all the way smooth as it has a rippled or wavy look and feel. As you can see in the 2nd to last picture. This bottle has" 505" etched in the glass. It appears to be a chemist etching. It is not well seen with the naked eye, but it shows up well with proper lighting. There are no other markings on the bottle. I am not sure what chemical it once contained. It is in great condition with no chips or cracks. There are some small bubbles in the glass which indicates this is an older piece. Very cool old bottle great to display! Antique Flat Top Brown Glass Apothecary Bottle Stopper 7/8" Top & 1/2" Dia.Stem
These are blown glass and it would be rare to have two exactly the same. They normally have a cork around the cone shape part. Imagine a cork in your Wine Bottle and how fragile it is. The cork on these is even thinner so they are often missing. The pictures will show the so called imperfections in the glass such as the bubble and the rough texture in the one pictured. These so called imperfections happen with the old glass process they used back in the day. The end of the cone appears to be broken. You are right! But that is how these are made. THE SIZE OF THIS ONE IS. 7/8" Diameter on the Top and the Thickest part of the Cone is 1/2" Diameter. So you will need a bottle that has a opening/hole of at least 1/2" or larger for this Glass Stopper. You will get the one exactly as pictured and by size. Thanks for looking!

Nice antique BROWN or AMBER glass bottle from a German medical office. I have a few interesting RARE bottles from this collection to list. This one is large and the label(in German) indicates it held procainum hydrochloridum(Novocaine) Bottle measures about 5" high(with the glass stopper in place) and the bottom is 2.75" wide and 2" deep(rectangular) The opening is approximately 1 inch. The Glass stopper fits tightly and still has the string tied holding it in place as it was when I acquired it. There is a strip of paper between the stopper and the bottle which I believe was used to indicate of any moisture. The attached paper label is shown in the pictures and somewhat faded.
