Base is 5 1/4" and the mid-section is 28" around. It holds about a gallon of water! It retains it's beautiful ground cut glass stopper. Glass stopper is 3 1/4" high. The glass is clear. It is in excellent condition! It is clear glass but I put the food coloring in it to show how wonderful it would look displayed. The silvery band across the middle dates it to about the 1920's. The stopper is not ground. But overall the piece is in excellent condition. No chips or cracks. Vintage Antique Apothecary Sweets Pastry Pedestal Glass Jar Dessert Tray & Lid
Apothecary style dessert/pastry tray marked in silver letters"SWEETS" I do not know the exact age of these but I purchased them from an antique store I was unable to find any others that were labeled as this one is for reference. You are buying the taller tray and lid in the photos where there are two. Measures 6 5/16" in diameter. Stands 10" tall(without lid) and with lid it stands a total of 14 1/2" tall. No chips or cracks.

Italian Ginori Apothecary/Pharmacy Jar c. 1800's#2 This jar is beautifully proportioned with ribbed bottom which tapers to a pedestal base. The rim does have one chip which can be viewed in my pictures. But it does not show with lid on for display. That is the only chip and there may be some slight glazing commensurate with its age and normal wear. The inside bottom also is not as smooth as jar#1, but it has not been repaired and is very sturdy. The maker may not have glazed inside as well as other jar. Please see picture#7 where I tried to show this area. This in no way detracts from the jar and I mention to give an accurate description. This comes from the estate of a pharmacist and was on display in his home for many years. It measures approximately 10" high without lid and 13" high with lid. The lid is about 6 1/4" ... morewide. The pedestal base bottom is about 4 1/2" wide. The middle of the lidded jar measures about 5 1/2" at the widest portion. It has nice blue trim with gold label and shows minor age related wear to the gold embellishment. Please view pictures carefully. This jar is marked: NITRATO DI POT Please ask questions before bidding as no returns. Shipping will require insurance to be paid by buyer and is included in shipping costs. I also pack very carefully for a safer arrival. Please note that my flash creates many white spots or glare and these are not other chips. Antique Zonite Apothecary Glass Measuring Cup Pedestal Foot & Graduations 1920's
This apothecary measuring beaker was made by the Zonite Co. in the 1920-30's. It stands 3 1/2" high. It has a conical shape. Pedestal foot and pouring spout. There are graduated measurements for 1 tsp. 1 Tbs and 2 Tbs. It is in fine condition and free from chips or cracks. There is a light scratch mark on the one side The Zonite name is embossed on the foot in two places. It is a very nice old collectible piece.

SCARCE ANTIQUE AMETHYST APOTHECARY PEDESTAL SHOW JAR
Up for auction is an extremely rare hand-blown. Blackberry-purple American apothecary display pedestal jar. In twenty-five aggressive years of collecting, I have only ever seen one other of these that was green on sold on ebay about six years ago. What makes this piece so special is that the inside is lined in milk glass, a process called casing that allows the outside color to capture light in manner that radiates a warming and uncanny color even in low light. Only a master craftsman could make such an exceptional piece, which involved many steps in production and only found in rarest of apothecary show jars. The item is fully 21 inches to top of the original ornamental stopper. Without stopper, the jar is just under 17 inches and stopper is 7 inches. It is made of nice sturdy-thick glass and 3.8 lbs. in weight. Condition: About perfect ... morefor something well over a century old. Note that the item is hand-blown, so I discerning eye will of course find some irregularities, which give such items their character and authenticity. The only think I notice is that the piece doesn't stand 100% straight and has a very minor lean. I mention only for accuracy as the piece is quite simply awesome. I purchase it at the Keene Bottle Show in NH in 2002. Please add an extra $5 for packing material to ensure safe arrival in perfect condition. Happy bidding!
