Dakota Tiffin EAPG Glass Ground Jar Lid 3 3/4" Apothecary Candy Drug Store
Here is a glass lid for a candy or apothecary jar. This came from the estate of a collector. The base of the ground stopper has an outside diameter of 3 3/4" with the taper widening to about 4" though this last measurement is hard to get precise) This had a sticker with it that said Dakota lid. It has 15 of the"thumb print" type impressions going around it. It has a ground glass base. Three seam lines. Very good condition. Only has a few minor small scratches and the inside lip has a few sand grain sized nicks(see last photo) and one sand grain nick to outside rim. This will be safely packaged.

This apothecary is an Antique/Vintage jar. I believe this to be a little rare due to it's size. This measures approximately 8.5" in height with the lid on. The lid has 3 mold marks and is ground. Thumbprint design along edge. There are no chips or nicks. I could not find any fleabites to my naked eye. The base has a diamond point pattern in a band on the neck. The belly of the base is shaped like a globe that measures approximately just shy of 4" front to back. There is a pedestal base which also carries a thumbprint pattern as well. There is a few mild scratches on the belly that could be easily buffed out. Hardly noticeable but mentionable. Up for consideration is a large heavy vintage Tiffin Dakota Ginger Jar style apothecary jar. Lid has 3 mold seams. Not ground. Base top has thumbprint and diamond point design. Thumbprint design also lid edge and lid base. Heavy jar weighs over 4 lbs. before packing. Stands 12 1/2 inches tall and is 20 inches round at center of fat part of jar base. Round mold mark on bottom of base. Inside rim has 2 rough spots on edge from use. outer edge on rim also has a rough area from use but no chips. Has surface scratching on glass from use. Antique EAPG Blue Glass Apothecary Jar Unique Blue Color that is considered RARE and very difficult to find-Simply Stunning! I am unsure of the Maker. Probably Dakota or Tiffin Glass Company. Without a mark, I cannot be certain. This jar has no ground marks around the lid. Clearly shows 3 mold lines in both the body and lid. Features a diamond point pattern around the neck, while the lid which is clear has a thumbprint design. Total Height is about 11" Tall(including lid) Simply Gorgeous! Here is a scarce large antique Tiffin Dakota Glass swirl top lid only for an apothecary candy store display jar. I am selling the lid only. There is no jar. The interior edge rim has some slight roughness in one area you can feel mostly with your fingers and one tiny flake chip in another area of this edge. See last 2 photos. Nothing at all bothersome. It otherwise is in excellent condition with no further chips, cracks, haziness or repairs. This is a large lid measuring aprox. just over 4 1/8 inches in outside diameter at base. It stands about 5 1/4 inches tall. The portion that would go into the jar is frosted. The swirl top has three mold lines when viewed from above. These are tough to find. This was a mold blown piece and you can see the mold marks on the jar and lid. Huge Vintage Tiffin Glass Dakota Round Lidded 15" Apothecary Jar - Soap Filled
This is a huge clear glass apothecary jar standing at a full 15" from pedestal to the top of the domed lid. The lovely round pedestal measures 7" in diameter and it supports a faceted base for the 8 1/2" diameter bowl. The collar is daisy cut with buttons forming a circle at the top rim of the bowl. The domed cover is cut with thumbprints around its rim. This piece is in mint condition and is filled with round colored spheres of soap. Note: Total weight is 12 pounds.
