This is a Vintage Dakota glass drugstore/candy/apothecary canister type jar. This is a tall canister measuring just under 11 1/2" including lid and 4 3/4"w x 4 3/4"d. The Thumbprint pattern lid has a ground stopper. As well as the opening to the jar. The jar has two mold lines and the lid has three mold lines. There are some typical manufacturer"bubbles" inside the glass. A tiny chip near the bottom of the lid and a tiny fleabite on the inside of the stopper part of the lid. The ground lid also looks great but has a few chips around the bottom base as well along with some slight discoloration. Up for auction I have a nice old apothecary jar. The jar is 12-1/4 inches tall with the lid. 11 inches to the top of the lip and is 4-1/4 inches across. Minor damage to the lip of the top. Some minor scratching in the jar and some wear to the base and one good sized bubble near the base. Which you can see in the 2nd to last picture. The jar also has a slight warble. Here is a glass lid for a candy or apothecary jar. This came from the estate of a collector. The base of the ground stopper has an outside diameter of 3 3/4" with the taper widening to about 4" though this last measurement is hard to get precise) This had a sticker with it that said Dakota lid. It has 15 of the"thumb print" type impressions going around it. It has a ground glass base. Three seam lines. Very good condition. Only has a few minor small scratches and the inside lip has a few sand grain sized nicks(see last photo) and one sand grain nick to outside rim. This will be safely packaged.

THIS AUCTION IS FOR AN ANTIQUE APOTHECARY JAR. This is an absolutely stunning jar! It is huge! Pics really don't do justice. The jar is crystal clear. It has a thumbprint pattern on the lid, the top of the jar and around the base. It measures 15 1/2 inches tall with a pedestal that is 7 inches in diameter. The ball part of the jar measures 25 inches around. There is a small chip on the under side of the lid, but not on the piece that goes into the jar. It is not easily seen. There is another small chip on the rim of the jar. It is not seen when the lid is on the jar. I have added pictures of both chips so there isn't any mistake about the condition. It is a fantastic piece and very old. Glass Clear Square 9.5 inch Canister or Storage Jar. With a ground glass lid in the Dakota or Baby Thumbprint pattern. Both jar and lid are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or scratches. Please note in photos 4 and 5, on the lid are two tiny areas on the lid. I can't call these chips. I think they are bubbles from manufacturing that are causing rough spots. You be the judge. The canister measures 4 and 5/8 inches in diameter at the top, is 5 1/8 inches square at the base and stands 9 1/2 inches tall with lid. These square canisters are very hard to find. This absolutely beautiful matched set of three Antique Tiffin Dakota Clear Glass Apothecary Jars with Lids are of 3 mold construction. Are bright, clear and in exceptional condition, free of cracks, repairs or alterations or discoloration. The ONLY discrepancy in this entire set is a small chip on the largest jar, which is located on the base(out of view) near the rim that measures 1/4" long by 1/8" wide(see photo#4) there are no cracks that extend from this area and is just a chip. Antique Drugstore Dakota Apothecary Glass Candy Jar Swirl Top Sun Purple
Beautiful large vintage apothecary swirl jar. It is in overall great shape. I did note some flea bites around the rim of the jar(and two small outside hairlines) and lid rim(one on the uppser side of lid) but it still sits nicely on top. Wonderful Old DAKOTA Urn Shape Glass CANDY Store APOTHECARY JAR LARGE ANTIQUE APOTHECARY CANDY JAR Wonderful vintage pressed glass Dakota style glass candy jar measuring about 11-1/2" tall. Featuring an urn shape. Flat bottom and collar pressed with a criss cross design and thumbprint border, interior collar is ground. Removable bubble or dot top lid repeats the inverted thumbprint pattern and is also ground. Condition is very nice with no stains, discoloration, hairlines, or cracks- there is light rubbing, waviness to the glass, straw marks and occlusions from manufacture- a bit of roughness around the top interior collar and one minute chip on the rim- does not detract in the least. Unmarked, believe jar dates to the first part of the 1900s- probably designed for use in a store or apothecary- love the urn shape- very solid and perfect ... morefor display!

Up for consideration is a large heavy vintage Tiffin Dakota Ginger Jar style apothecary jar. Lid has 3 mold seams. Not ground. Base top has thumbprint and diamond point design. Thumbprint design also lid edge and lid base. Heavy jar weighs over 4 lbs. before packing. Stands 12 1/2 inches tall and is 20 inches round at center of fat part of jar base. Round mold mark on bottom of base. Inside rim has 2 rough spots on edge from use. outer edge on rim also has a rough area from use but no chips. Has surface scratching on glass from use. Huge Vintage Tiffin Glass Dakota Round Lidded 15" Apothecary Jar - Soap Filled
This is a huge clear glass apothecary jar standing at a full 15" from pedestal to the top of the domed lid. The lovely round pedestal measures 7" in diameter and it supports a faceted base for the 8 1/2" diameter bowl. The collar is daisy cut with buttons forming a circle at the top rim of the bowl. The domed cover is cut with thumbprints around its rim. This piece is in mint condition and is filled with round colored spheres of soap. Note: Total weight is 12 pounds. The soap increases the weight and figures into the shipping price. If you do not want the soap the shipping price can be adjusted.
