Check out this incredibly cool antique late 1800's leather physician's travel pouch! The pouch snaps closed and has space for up to six vials. Five glass vials are included. Three of which have paper labels with hand written details on what they contained. We know for sure that one contained Aspirin and another contained grains of Quinine Sulphate, which was an anti-malarial medicine. The third label is a little too tough for us to make out. Each vial has a screw on silver lid that is stamped with"Ger. Silver" along the lower edge. Perfect for collectors of antique bottles or anyone looking for an odd and peculiar item to display on their bookshelf or cabinet of curiosities! Here's is a very nice antique. C.1800's, Apothecary Bottle labeled"P. Catechu" with a Glass-Slide covering the label is in excellent condition with very minor scuffs and scratches. Catechu. Or Terra Japonica, is an extract prepared from the leaves and young shoots of"Uncaria Gambier, a climbing shrub indigenous to Malay Archipelago, and cultivated by many of the surrounding islands. It is a powerful astringent used in association with other astringents. The bottle stands eight(8" inches tall with the stopper on. Seven(7" inches without. The bottom has a 2"7/8" diameter and the mouth is 2"5/8" The inner lip of the mouth, and the outer insertion rim of the stopper, have a ground finish. The back side. And partially on one side of the front, of the label are cracked and aged in appearance ... morewith the Label Adhesive having an appearance of Maple Syrup in color. The bottle is seamed with few bubbles and striation. There are only minor scuffs and scratches with the only significant scratch of three(3" just below the neck of the bottle. Antique Early 1800"s Apothecary Container With Pontil Stopper 12 1/2"
A wonderful early 1800's hand blown apothecary container with the original stopper.This measures 12 1/2" tall by 4 1/4" across and the top opening at 2 1/16"The stopper is 2" wide and 2 3/4" long.Wonderfully ground interior top and a nice ground stopper with a nice pontil.This is a lovely hand blown piece of glass with air bubbles along with swirls of clarity and still very clear despite the chemicals that were use in this container.This seems to have a pink hue.The stopper is perfect all around.The container has a very few flea bites around the top collar.This has no cracks or repairs.A wonderful container that will look great on its own or filled with food coloring set on a window-sill that will look like leaded glass.If you have any questions please contact me.Thank you for looking!

Antique Late 1700's-1800's Apothecary with Blown Pontil Lid
This is an apothecary jar from the very late 1700's to the early 1800's.With the use of chemicals being placed in the glass container the physical compounds of the glass have become altered.Discolored, clouded,and or distorted over time.This measures at 8 1/2" tall,by 2 3/4" at the base with the top opening at 2 1/2"The stopper,as it were,is 2 1/2" tall by 2 1/4" around.The inner top rim is ground as well as the stopper circumference.Doing research from the"Miller's Glass Book" page 37, I see"that when the pontil is cracked off,and visible this is pre- 19th century"I see an imperfection on the rim of the jar.I do not believe this is a chip.The lid is completely perfect in every way.This is still very usable today by placing food coloring in water and placing this on the window-sill ... moreto appear as leaded glass.If you have any questions please contact me.Thank you for looking!

This beautifully aged apothecary bottle would have been found in a doctor's office. Hospital, or pharmacy. This was a tincture of an herbal remedy for digestive ailments. It comes with its original glass stopper which is fully intact and a glass label- this is a rare find. The label is slightly inset in the glass and there is still remnants of the herbal concoction inside giving the glass a great coloring. Dated between 1840-1850 based on the bottle shape, condition, glass label, and open pontil bottom. Measures 8" x 3" and the stopper is removable. Ready to display.

The jar is in great antique condition, but does have some small nicks along the inside rim of the jar and a small ding to the lid. When the lid is in place, the nicks cannot be seen and do not take away from the display quality or functionality of the jar. Here is a large lot of 26 antique apothecary drug store bottles of clear glass with ground glass stoppers. From the late 1800's. And actually from a drug store, an estate sale where these were passed along for decades, from the grandfather who owned a drug store. 3 large bottles 10" tall, 18 medium bottles 9" tall, and 5 smaller at 7" tall, all with their ground glass stoppers. All but part of one label are long gone, 18 bottles are in excellent shape with no cracks or chips, the ones with chips- 1 large, 2 medium, and 5 small. And uncleaned but in very nice shape with virtually no staining- unusual for old apothecary bottles. Will be carefully wrapped and double boxed to insure damage free shipment.

For your consideration is an incredibly early and quite unique highly detailed and painted glass jar which originally contained triple extracts for the Handkerchief under the name of Queen Bees' s. B.D. Baldwin& Co. Perfumers, CHICAGO. Dated April 12, 1882! The ornate border, graphics and lettering is still quite vivid and displays wonderfully. I have proudly displayed these and they have been great discussion pieces from a bygone era.
