Up for auction is a antique late 1800's Chemical bottle. It stands approx. 4 1/4" tall and is in great condition for its age. There is a small 1/8" crack on the backside of bottle and a flea bite just above it of just about equal size. The neck is ground for the stopper and stopper is removable. Here at auction is an old bottle that was dug up from a dumpsite in the 1960's so it is an original old bottle from a collection. it is 9" x 2 3/4" square clear glass with a cork top. of course the original cork was not found. But we do have an old cork that would fit it if you would want us to put one into the bottle top. The long neck glass bottle has embossed letters on two sides and both of these sides are a paneled glass design bottom reads PAT. APPLIED FOR 2 ONE SIDE READS: PREPARED BY DR. PETER FAHRNEY& SONS CO CHICAGO. ILL U.S.A. the other side: Forni's Alpenkraunter BlutBeleber with some fancy embossed designs. Antique Medical Lot- Diseases of Heart Book, Medicine Bottle, Printing Block
Up for auction is an antique medical lot which includes: Diseases of the Heart" a Victorian Medical Book. An Absorbine bottle, a anatomical printing block from an antique medical book, and 2 Victorian advertisements for medicine. The Book is in very good condition despite its age. The binding is good and there are a good amount of diagrams within the book. Some of them are pictured above. Most of the pages are very clean, there are only a few with a small amount of smudges. There are 2 blank pages that are loose in the front. The top and bottom of the spine show a little ware. Please look at the pictures to further note the condition. The Book was published in 1884 and written by Byrom Bramwell. The Absorbine bottle was I believe made for horses(though it could be for people as the same company made one for humans as well. Antique GAR Civil War era medicine bottle medical kit complete with silver caps
Antique GAR Civil War era medicine bottle medical kit complete with silver caps Included is the case. 7 bottles and 7 caps. All caps are marked GAR Silver. GAR was the Grand Army of the Republic. A fraternal organization assembled post the civil war of Union Veterans. The organization lasted until the last Civil war member passed away in 1956. Since the Caps are marked GAR I can only assume this to be Civil war era and I am not sure so please review pic 5. Bottles are in really nice shape and caps have age appropriate tarnishing. One label has some penciled writing on it. Box is in really bad shape with tears. Leather loss and wear and some tape on it.
