Description: Offering these two antique apothecary jars. Science or medicine? The taller jar measures 7 3/16" tall by 1 15/16" in diameter. It has a broken celluloid or lucite plastic top which is broken at the neck. Easily glued back together. The sun purple paneled bottle measures 6 1/2" tall by 2 1/8" wide by 1 7/8" front to back. Antique Blown Glass Purple Medicine Hair Lotion Cologne Apothecary Bottles Lot 3
Beautiful lot of three very old blown glass bottles. I believe these were used for cologne water or hair tonic as they are quite large. I have never found bottles like these before. They are quite unusual. The glass is a medium to dark purple. They appear to have hand applied bottle tops and maybe mold blown bottoms? There is one square bottle that measures 8.75" tall by 2.5" wide at the base. There is also a matching pair of bottles with really nice molded in designs at the top and bottom. They each measure 9.25" by 2.75" wide at the base. These bottles were dug and have never been cleaned. They do not have any chips or cracks and are damage free. I think you could wash them with CLR and they'd come completely clean like brand new if you want that look. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. Thank you!

Up for bid is a rare cigar jar or candy jar of it could even have been used as a cigar humidor the interesting part is the color of the glass. Its a very light purple almost not picked up by my camera and lightning the lid says that it was patented on august 28 1900 it appear real I am no expert but all the signs are there I have seen similar jars with a clamp down mechanism this could have been one of those. Antique Drugstore Dakota Apothecary Glass Candy Jar Swirl Top Sun Purple
Beautiful large vintage apothecary swirl jar. It is in overall great shape. I did note some flea bites around the rim of the jar(and two small outside hairlines) and lid rim(one on the uppser side of lid) but it still sits nicely on top. Antique Glass Apothecary Drugstore Candy Jar Ground Lid Sun Glass Purple Lid!
On offer an antique molded glass jar suitable for apothecary. Or for a candy store counter. The piece is pre 1915 which was the glass was when most glass companies ceased using manganese-glass made with manganese turned light purple when exposed to a prolonged period of sunlight. In this case only the lid has turned purple. The jar stands 10" including the lid. The only condition issue is a rough tip of the lid-see photo.
